I have CHW and have had 0/7 claims paid. Latest was my AC. Went out 7/5/22 and it is 7/3/22 and no help from CHW.
They said they could not see bubbles from video I sent them of the leak. So I took the coil down stairs in the yard, AC tech pressurized it and we got photos of bubbles. They said they seen grass and that told them it was a different coil and the bubbles did not mean it was leaking. I said look at the copper markings in video and you can see it is the same coil. They denied the claim. I reported it 7/5/22 and it is 7/30/22 and if I had waited on them I would be hot down here in LA.
They are a total scam and if people are Interested email me at *******@yahoo.com and join a class action lawsuit.
We have to shut this scan fraudulent company down and get refunds on our worthless policies.

We are currently in a hotel, it is July we have a toddler. No tech was scheduled for 5 days. We will no be reimbursed hotel fees and again it is July 90+ degrees with no ac. Customer service does not care if you have pets or young children. Our situation was not treated as a priority and they were not willing to escalate our request.
This is the worst home warranty company that we have ever had in over 25 years of home ownership. DO NOT contract with this company. Our fridge stopped working and we contacted them to send a technician. It took them 21 days to send someone- this is in middle of summer and we were without a working fridge so much for 24/7 service! After 2 visits (another 2 weeks) and trying to install the wrong part, technician said the fridge needs to be replaced. It took another few days for company to get back to us and tell us that they will give us $800 to replace our unit. I have looked online and in multiple retail stores- Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc and can't find anything similar to our fridge (same basic options and size) for even $2000. I had to make appointment to speak with customer service rep to discuss replacement cost (had to wait another week) and was told that the company determines replacement cost based on how much it would cost them with their own supplier and they will NOT tell me who the supplier is so I could order the unit from them nor will they order from that supplier the unit for me. My only option is to take the money and buy the unit myself. Th money offered is Significantly lower (less than 50%) than the cheapest comparable fridge. They have no transparency on how they determine replacement cost nor do they give a damn that their customers are intentionally misled. Horrible company and horrible customer service! We will not be staying with this company!
I asked them not to renew and this company still renew and took and unauthorized transaction that's stealing and bullying you by calling 80 times and not listening to what I requested
This company denies 95% of repair claims and never pays the contractor for the work they "authorized" the contractor to do at the property.
Horrible experience with CHW on non-repairable frig. CHW repairman said if was repairable and the parts were still under warranty, so CHW required me to track the parts down with KitchenAid. Parts were sealed systems requiring a certified installer. After 3 months of back and forth with CHW and KitchenAid, KitchenAid finally send me the parts since the CHW repairman said he was certified. He installed them and charged the frig with freon and said it was fixed, but it was not. 2 more visits from the repairman ended up with him stating it was non-repairable and they started the replacement process. I had Kitchen Aid come and evaluate and their very knowledgeable repairman took one look and said it was non-repairable from the beginning and the CHW repairman should have known this from the very first visit. Then to put salt in the wound, CHW only gave me $900 for a frig worth $3100, as they are not required to match the brand, dimensions, color, etc. of your frig, only math similar features, capacity, and efficiency. I'll never used CHW ever again and will never recommend CHW to anyone. Over the last 3 years I've used them, every single repair, etc. I've had has turn out bad. Their top rating is a joke!
CHW is terrible! It's takes over a week to get a technician scheduled. Then they will find any reason to not cover the repairs/replacements… I had a leak a month ago and guess what? I still have the same leak now! After waiting a month they finally advise they won't cover the replacement for my AC unit which is leaking…save your money and stay away from this useless, no good, bad business company! I will be canceling my useless policy asap!
Terrible company. Filed one claim and they denied me, but they have no problem taking my money. They are relentless with renewals. I have had over 10 phone calls and countless emails. They do not understand that 1) they screwed me on a basic broken dishwasher claim 2) I have asked them to stop calling & selling me to renew.
I suggest another home warranty company in the name of First American.
I've had experience with several home warranty companies and Choice Home Warranty is the absolute worst. Any claim is rejected, rejected and rejected again for the smallest loopholes. Only after multiple follow ups do they finally acknowledge reality and then they offer the flimsiest coverage and payment options possible. In contesting an absurd rejection I even had one of their claims specialists (Sylvanna Green-Hazel) tell me that there's "nothing more to discuss, they're not revisiting the rejection" and then hang up on me mid-sentence.
Maybe they're a cheaper option than others (we took a broker's recommendation here and didn't really shop companies), but life's too short to have these people in your life.
Run or skip the service entirely and save your money. If you're using these guys, it's money flushed down the toilet.
I had a 2 year old dishwasher thar broke, was un repairable and I had to pay $60. For no repairs. I was offered but CHOICE HOME WARRENTY $246 to replace my dishwasher. I was already out $60. So I get $186. To to replace my dishwasher. This is a scam. I canceled my policy and they didnt even seem to care. GOOD RIDENCE I SAY. So don't use them.
Zero integrity. Hard to get service. Most appliance repair shops will mot work with them. They pay nothing. I have a four year old GE café dishwasher top of the line that they can't fix. They're supposed to give money to buy a new one. Their offer, $245. You can't get anything less than 1000 to 1500 today. That's all they offer. Better not to have a warranty. I asked to cancel the remaining contract and they offer $100 back. I paid $700 for the remaining part of the contract. The worst experience with any company that I've ever had to work with.
I purchased the contract with the purchase of my new home. I later submitted a claim. Four days, no response. I called, waited 35 minutes on hold, and my claim was "expedited." I received an email stating a technician would be at my house two days later between 7am-11am. At 11am on that day I contacted the technician. He told me Choice owed him $12,000 and he no longer did work for them. I called Choice, another 40 minute hold. I was told there was a mistake and they would reset my claim for someone to pick up. Four days later I again contacted them. Another 30 minute hold. I was told I needed to be patient or I could use their reimbursement policy. I looked at it and there were so many hoops it would be near impossible to find a technician to jump through them all. I contacted the previous technician and he confirmed it was primarily through their reimbursement system and denial of claims that led him to cease working for them even though they continued to tell people he would show up (without contacting him and hurting his reputation). I called Choice. Another 40 minute wait. Canceled. I lost $85 with a pro-rated refund and found a technician the next day in my area. This company is a scam.
I'm a contractor that has attempted to do work for Choice and it has been a terrible experience. I feel so bad for my clients that have tried to use them to get their items repaired. Choice pays little to none to the contractors working for them and denies almost all claims that they receive. My last customer was on the phone fighting to get his drywall repaired. They denied him over and over then realized he wasn't going anywhere so they approved his repair. I turned in the repair quote and they decided they would only pay a quarter of the amount of the invoice and make the customer pay the rest. Now they feel like they are "paying the bill" and are now putting the pressure on me to fulfill their robbery of this poor man. I receive email after email telling me I have to do it now or their will be no other task that will be sent to me. What a scam! Also they are very good about just hanging up on you if they think they will need to pay for a claim. Save yourself the time and avoid the stress the company will gladly give out.

Felt like A Scam.
I've paid for warranties on multiple houses and multiple years with Choice Home Warranty. A couple of months ago I called in a claim for my personal washer which is less than 2 years old. AFTER A FULL MONTH I still had no repairman assigned, even after being "escalated" multiple times. Then I agreed to their "reimbursement program to hire my own repairman. He came and diagnosed the problem but could not get parts. Choice Home Warranty contract says repair or replace, right? WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! AT THEIR OPTION THEY "REPLACE" BY OFFERING NEARLY HALF THE COST FOR ME TO ACTUALLY BUY A NEW WASHER TO REPLACE my 2 year old washer. Furthermore, I was informed that I have no other options available as my claim had already been escalated multiple times.
I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY CONTRACT WITH CHOICE HOME WARRANTY AS I FEEL IT'S A RIP-OFF COMPANY. THEY DID NOT TREAT ME AS AN IMPORTANT CUSTOMER - not in getting someone out to my house, not in obtaining the parts to make the repairs, and certainly not in providing a fair replacement value. The amount of money they have offered only approximates my premium cost for the policy.
I have a Policy with Home Choice Warranty. This company is turned out to be a total scam. About few months ago, I have filed a claim about a faucet leakage, and they told us that it is attached to external wall, and they cannot pay for its repair. I paid out of my pockets. Then about a month ago, there was a leakage (dripping drops of water) under the sink, I filed a claim. They scheduled someone and no one came to my house, it happened few times. Finally, I decided to call a local plumber Hernandez Plumbing and paid out of my pockets. Couple of days ago, we realized that our built-in microwave door handle is broken and need replacement. A technician came and he suggested that the door needs to be replaced but this company does not want to pay. Since I paid the service call, he put a screw and multiple washers to make it somehow works. Regarding this claim, company sent me an email saying "This Agreement only covers failures due to normal wear and tear. In the event coverage is denied, and a You seek to have Us review that denial"

I've been trying for 3 weeks now to get my AC fixed. I've had several CHW reps miss scheduled calls (3 calls scheduled and the manager didn't join for a single one). My case managers Jean M and Keirra W have been completely unreachable and frankly haven't done their job in the slightest. The service here is absolutely awful and I will be taking legal action as a result.
I am so upset with this company, we have made 2 claims and both are big items hot water and AC both denied. This company is a joke and a rip off! I work in Real Estate and will NEVER allow this be the warranty company for my buyers or sellers. BEWARE this company is the worst! Also, watch your account as they send emails to renew and if they don't hear from you they assume you want to. CROOKS!

It is not worth having Choice Home warranty. I am saying this from my personal experience. My Diswasher was leaking. I have Choice Home Warranty and I created a claim on 22nd May 2022. Technician came on 31ST May. He said he found the issue and scheduled a follow up appointment on 2nd June so that he could come with the parts. I had to call him on 2nd June to find that he does not have the parts. I kept on trying the technician after that and there were no news about the parts. After repeated follow ups, he said parts would come on 18th June and he would come then. I called him on 18th June when he said the parts came, but was broken. He said he had to reorder the parts. Since then, I have been trying to get hold of him, but in vein. I complained all these to Choice Home warranty and there were no actions from them and no status update from them which was ridiculous. I ended up buying the unit on 23rd June. I have started to wonder if it makes sense to have this kind of warranty.
I had a simple clogged drain in my kitchen - or so I thought. The first "technician" Choice sent out looked at it and declared he wasn't the right person for the job and that he couldn't fix it. Took my $65 deductible and left.
Choice then proceeded to close my claim. I called them and demanded to know why. They said the technician wasn't the right one for the job and I'd have to open a new claim. Another $65 deductible, please.
The moron they sent out arrived with a tiny little "snake" the size of a drill, which is used for minor tub clogs. He asked me for a towel and a bowl to collect the water. In other words he was completely unprepared. Then he told me that he needed a longer snake because the clog in my sink was "too deep" and he would have to get authorization from Choice to use a longer snake.
Choice then denied the claim and told me they don't cover anything over 100 ft (it wasn't) and only covered snaking and cabling, which is exactly what was needed.
At this point, I was not able to use my kitchen for five days, had to eat out every day, which got super expensive, and wasn't about to wait for them to send a THIRD idiot out who couldn't fix a clog.
I told them to pound sand, called a REAL plumber, and got it fixed. Then I canceled my policy and demanded my money back.
They're terrible! They find the cheapest workmen possible to do the job and deny the claim if actual expertise is needed.
Answer: 2-10 is more expensive but of very good value. Good people. Our plumber has recommended Old Republic. I do not know anything about them though.
Answer: A definite scam. Will not pay, use any excuse to not pay. Takes days to acknowledge a service company is being assigned. Service personnel will not work for them as they do not get paid.
Answer: PRICE AND THE GOOD REPUTATION OF GEORGR FOREMEN… Pls don't blame him. He couldn't know they were crooked when he signed up!
