Great prices and good sales, but the best is how customer friendly they are. We had a delivery stolen and they replaced it quickly... no questions asked! They have what is called auto-ship which gives you an even bigger discount. I am a shift worker and have called them at at some obnoxious hours expecting to get a voicemail but got a very cheerful person instead. They ran out of an item we normally auto-ship for our cats. When it came back in stock, they sent us an e-mail saying that it was back in stock and that they would be glad to send it postage free. We can't say enough good things about this company!
They have the best prices for dog food and a complete line of my hard to find brand. I signed up for the autoship. We will see if it works a scheduled. If so, this company can't be beat.
Out of five deliveries only two were OK. First they didn't pay attention to my delivery date although I had discussed it thoroughly when the order was placed. They sent it ahead of the time required so the payment could be debited to my account after I got my monthly check. That resulted in my having to refuse the first delivery and the third for the same problem, Then I got one box where several of the cans of cat food were crushed and couldn't be use and had spilled over the rest of the cans. The customer service person pleasantly indicated that "that sometimes happens." Then the last delivery the kitty litter box was crushed and spilled all over the delivery box and they also left out one of the items ordered. There has got to be a pet delivery system here in Chicago that can be counted on to "get it right."
They have a wide variety of products and if you can get free shipping and it's worth the convenience to you, go for it. There are a few other online pet supply stores I would use before this one. An average online store I think.
I only shop at Chewy for my pets. I have four pets, 2 ragdoll kittens and 2 dogs so I do a lot of pet shopping. Chewy's prices are competitive, customer service is excellent, selection is the best and delivery is super fast, usually within 2 days. Excellent I would highly recommend them!
I order items from CHEWY for my Bichon Frise', delivery is quick & if you need to talk to a customer service rep, they are friendly and happy to accommodate. Great company!
I was thrilled when I found out that Chewy has kitty litter made out of ground walnuts, which is an organic result of recycling. Also, Tteir shipping is lightning quick, which very often compensates for my forgetfulness...
I bought a bunch of these "hide a squirrel" toys - some for my dog and some for friends. Chewy.com sold them at half the price other sites were. That is a HUGE difference. And shipping was free on orders of $49 or more. Really great site, more than fair prices.
I order my diabetic cats food from here. Science Diet, of course. They make it very easy to do business with them. Bless their hearts, sent me a Christmas card too. It's very easy to give these folks a very good review. No complaints whatsoever, just praise.

They messed up my order, and left me in a bind. They didn't offer to credit me for their mistake, or really even seem to care. They were polite enough, but were firmly against making good on their errors. I won't be ordering form them again.
Ordered from this company last year, no issues. This year they ignored my emailed prescriptions so kept cancelling my order and contacted my vet to incite more costs. After many phone calls they still ignored me, ( Dennis, Jamel, Et all). The supervisor Kate promised to phone back the next day but lied as she never did.
Do not make an order! If there is any problem they lie or ignore you, even if they are the ones who created the issue by being lazy!
This company really lives up to its 100% satisfaction guarantee motto. I had to purchase several different types of expensive dog foods, as my dog was having problems with severe food allergies and was on several food trials. When it was all over with, I found out my dog is allergic to both chicken and fish. I had a 26 lb. bag of unopened food that I could no longer use and called to find out how to return it. I figured I would have to go through the hassle and expense of mailing it back, which I would have done as this was expensive food. When I called the customer service line and explained what was going on, they were awesome. They refunded my purchase price of the food and said I did not need to mail it back, I could just donate it to a local shelter, which I will. This took such a stress off me. This is a such a great company. While on these food trials, I have changed my orders with them numerous times. The website is so easy to use and you can change anything on autoship whenever you need to. Items are delivered within 2 days and my order has always been correct. All of these things make Chewy a great, easy place to ship but, its the fact that they really care about customer satisfaction that will have me coming back.
I had a horrible experience with PetFoodDirect today. I was signed up on an automatic refill of dog food for my Ridgeback, who I had to put down unexpectedly just 7 days ago. I completely forgot about the auto-refill as I have been absolutely devastated about the loss, and it was the farthest thing from my mind. At any rate - I received an email at 3am this morning notifying me the order was processing. I called PetFoodDirect at 7am about cancelling the order. They said they could not cancel it, and suggested I call Royal Canin directly (the company from which the food was shipping). I did so, and Royal Canin said I needed to have one of the employees at PetFoodDirect email them to cancel the order. I called PetFoodDirect back to give them the email address & was told by a very snarky guy that "in the 3 years (he) has worked there he never heard of an order being cancelled once it was processed, and the he would send the email, but knew it was not going to work." I asked him what I was supposed to do and he could not have been less helpful.
I am absolutely appalled by the lack of concern, or lack of assistance from this company. In my current state of grief - this really was the last thing I needed, and words cannot express how deflated I feel after my encounter with this distasteful company.
This company continuous to impress me! Their customer service is incredible. My order was mixed up- they answered fast, credited my account, and asked me to donate it to a local shelter! They even sent me a hand-written Christmas card. They make buying convenient and they are good people. Proud to shop from them!
I have my pet supplies from chewy for a while. Never had an issue. We have a dog and three cats. They replace any damaged products caused by shipping right away. I make sure to order at least $49 to get free shipping and their shipping is fast. Sometimes I order in the morning and I get it the next day. Their prices are cheaper than petco and other pet stores and you get all these havy bags with dog food right delivered to your door.
I don't want to jinx it but I've never had bad experience with Chewy so far (I've been a customer since 2013). The customer service is excellent! All the reps are nice and genuinely trying to help you. Also the crazy fast processing and shipping always amazes me. It's a perfect example of a well-run company.
I have been shopping on Chewy.com for several years now. I have never had a problem with my orders from them. There is never anything missing. Everything is always there. I had a small problem with a product that I purchased from them once. It wasn't Chewy, com's fault, it was Plato's fault. I called Chewy.com and told them about it and they immediately refunded my money on the spot no questions asked and they said I could keep the product and I didn't need to return it.
I forgot to order some extra stuff on an order I was placing one day. I was in a hurry to get to the hospital because my mother was just days from passing away. I called to ask if they could fix my order. I told them my situtation and they helped me. Just a few days later I received flowers (roses) and a beautiful card with their condolences. I cried! What company would do something this wonderful for someone they have never met? Chewy.com is an amazing company!
I called to see if I could return some cat food that arrived on auto-order. They refunded my money and said I could donate the food to local animal shelter! How kind! Inspired me to write this review. This company is so easy to work with and we have been pleased with service over the past year. Delivery of pet food right to my door, and at prices cheaper than local pet stores! Highly recommend!
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
