Chewy has always provided excellent customer service. Our Brewser was sick a few years back and they sent a Get Well card. Brewser unfortunately passed this past Tuesday March 9. I needed to call Chewy to cancel our automatic shipping of Browser's food. Chewy sent a beautiful fresh flowers bouquet and sympathy card with a personal message. The kindness and empathy of this company is something that will always be remembered.
I recently had to send back a bag of food that 3 of my 4 dogs decided they won't eat (for 4 days) until i went to the local pet food store and added another brand to their existing food. They have been on Nutro for 2 yrs and all of a sudden, 3 of my dogs won't eat from the new bag of food. Chewy would usually say to donate but this time, I had to go buy packing tape and ship the item back, when I called for a pick up they said we don't do that. I said I am 51yrs old, spine surgery and I am NOT picking up 40lbs of food and bringing it anywhere! They will be here to get it but WTF chewy? Customer service is GONE!
Had a little hiccup with our delivery and I got a quick fix with a positively adorable apology. Very happy with them.
Chewy has great products for my cats from litter, food, toys, pheromones and collars. Great selection of products, good prices, fast shipping. Only once in 5 years was there a product problem and they made right immediately. I love to have home delivery rather than schlep products from pet stores and markets. So convenient. Great communcation and smooth transactions always. I would love to add copies of receipts and images of products I have ordered, but the format is always in a email, not a jpeg.
Alicia Lewis was so utterly unhelpful and un-accommodating with a careless tone of voice. Left such a awful taste in my mouth. Makes me not want to use Chewy if they have these kind of people representing their company
Chewy has the worst Cutomer service. It's like they have moody teenagers running the show. Calling it service is a stretch. I use Petco now, they have auto delivery. So disappointed.
Chewy shipped me a box of Rimadyl in a package with no warning label, in a bottle that totally wasn't dog-proof, through a terrible shipper (OnTrac). The delivery guy threw it over my fence with the dog in the yard (I was home), and my dog tore into it within 15 min and overdosed. The vet ICU bill was $4000, and Chewy won't help at all. So... not only did I NOT save money on my Rimadyl, it actually cost $4000 for 33 pills! If they packaged their products more safely or put warning labels on the box or used a responsible company, this wouldn't have happened. I would have thought that poisoning dogs would be antithetical to their mission...
Chewy has a wide variety of common cat foods, litters, and toys, as well as a decent selection of medicines and cat "furniture." Their free shipping minimum is a bit high, but ordering strategically allows you to hit the mark most times. They have trouble keeping certain popular foods in stock, which is quite frustrating when your cat needs a refill. If they were able to improve on that front, they would probably get all of my online pet supplies business.
I placed my big order 13 Feb. 2021, it was said delivery 17 Feb. Ok. Later it was 18 Feb promised for estimate delivery. Ok. 18 February morning it was said that my package left Wilmington NC and going to be soon. 5 pm it said Delaying! I called Fedex and Chewy, they all promised 19 February I will have my package, because it is already in Fedex truck here, in our area. Night 19 February message - delayed! No anything else. I contacted Chewy and said I need food asap or money back! THEY SAID THEY WILL GIVE MY MONEY WHEN THEY WILL HAVE my package returned, so it can be next few weeks! I contacted supervisor Robert, it was already 20 Feb, and he said he will return my money and if package arrive I can keep it or donate. Later I checked that he request return my order to the sender, and where it was order nobody knows. I bet it just losted and Chewy did not want to replace it! Never will order again!
I ordered my dog's pain meds on 2/11 and got notification it shipped that afternoon and would likely arrive on the 14th. On the 17th, after I had been checking the tracking for days, I finally got an email saying that my order had been delayed. It said that it was expected in the next few days, so I shouldn't worry. I was already out of pain meds and the tracking info still wasn't updated. On the 20th I called, and they had no idea where the order was or if it was still even going to come. The woman submitted a new order, but said it wouldn't arrive until at least the 23rd. No rush, I guess. She said that I could order a few pills to hold me over, but I would need to contact my vet for a new prescription- my vet is closed for the weekend and I live 2 hours away from the closest town. My poor dog is in pain and the petite aspirin I have for him doesn't really do much. I'm cancelling my auto ship. I'd rather pay more or go out of my way than risk this again.
Horrible! Out of stock items are never indicated when placing an order. Order is "shipped" without being able to substitute with something else. All "out of stock" items are automatically removed from customer auto-ship order page so customer must hunt their website for the desired products for the next order instead of simply being able to reorder. We need a better company to order pet products.
I emailed customer service about information I needed to place my order. They responded, but did not provide what I needed. Then I called and a customer service rep said she would have a supervisor get back to me. That was two days ago. They are polite, but if you need something out of the ordinary, totally unresponsive. Will not do business with them in the future.
This company is the best. Two days after receiving my last order I had to put my almost 15 y/o dog down. I had not opened the box the items came in so I called Chewy and asked if I could return the shipment at my expense for a refund. The representative I spoke with was so nice and compassionate. She offered her condolences, processed a full refund and asked if I could donate the items, which I did to the Shelter where I took her. This company is awesome and I will continue to promote them to anyone that asks.
When my dog blaze passed away. Elizabeth R responded to my email with such a caring heart. She sent me flowers, a card, and refunded my last order. Most amazing customer service I've ever received in my life. Thank you sincerely from Chelsey davis

Placed a order with them and did a subscription thought it would make life easier. They sent a email 3 days later and said they needed to verify the address. I wife called in and verified everything and they still didn't ship it. I called this morning and this woman keep me on the phone for 20 minutes telling me about her pets and asking about mine. Then asked me the same questions again. I work for myself and told her it's not a social call I'm busy can you ship my order or do I need to cancel it. She kept going. List sale chewy go screw yourselfs I'll buy from someone else. Don't buy from them there ridiculous

I was notified that my credit card was not going through.
Calling customer support was a pleasure! I was told that my order was not canceled, I place another credit card on the order. Customer service chatted with me on how crazy times in the world, lots of people are down sizing on their credit cards witch was my case. (cut ties with some A Bank issued) I dropped down 1card, only carry American Express express and Master screw Bank of America.
Thanks again for not discarding my order, knowing your customer treat them like human and us humans make mistakes, forget and sometimes get frustrated with customer support not with Chewy.

Never had a single good experience with Chewy Pharmacy. For some reason they always have problems getting orders approved through our vet clinics. When I try to mail in the prescription, thinking that would be faster, a week after me mailing in the prescription that they're telling me it takes 2-3 weeks to receive the prescription. I can literally drive to KY from NY faster and drop in the prescription. It's absurd, customer service team is not knowledgeable (or helpful) when it comes to dealing with pharmacy related problems, and this has been going on for a long time. Maybe I don't learn my lesson. But their service is not reliable. Which is saddening considering it's a pharmacy and they need to be timely.
I've used Chewy to get my dog's food for his special diet. It was nice they have an auto ship option. The customer service was great. I've even heard they sent sympathy cards when they know pets die. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I have been ordering from Chewy.com for several years now. The service is great, orders are always received on time, always complete, never missing items. The one time that I had to ask to return a product was when my senior dog passed away before opening her food. Chewy gave me a complete refund and suggested I donate the food to a local rescue instead of actually returning. Chewy cares about you as a customer and your pets!

Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
