In the beginning, the Company was reputable and dependable, but now their customer service is abysmal at best. They never even apologized for not sending me the item ordered, and I was unable to check tracking status due to an error message. I spoke with Kayla and Colleen ( both of whom lied to me - telling me I had been sent a replacement, and it was shipped out immediately; it couldn't have been since it was temporarily out of stock (they can't send out what they don't have) and Tina and Alyssa (supervisors) in an attempt to rectify the situation. Nothing was resolved and no apology was forthcoming. It has caused unnecessary stress. All it takes is someone who cares about their job instead of taking a cavalier attitude. With this pandemic afoot and people having lost their jobs through no fault of their own, I would imagine there are those who would welcome stepping into these individuals' shoes and doing a superb job, since their attitude speaks to their disdain for theirs!
My first order with Chewy was a month or so ago, and I bought pet food. The order showed up immediately--like, the very next day! I was impressed! So when I ordered more dog food yesterday, I expected it to show up today, like magic! Or tomorrow! That would've also been fine. The tracking says it's coming on Wednesday! (Today's Saturday.) I can't help but wonder if they send people out to the pet store (and then to your front porch) for customers' first orders in order to make it seem like they're really fast shippers. Ugh! It's very shady. Their web site says "Free 1-3 day shipping on this item." And based on past experience, I expected that to mean that the dog food would show up in 1-3 days. But they probably meant (very sneakily) "Free 1-3 BUSINESS day shipping on this item." And if I ordered it on Friday, and then Saturday's considered a weekend, and it shows up on Wednesday, they're in the clear... in a strict legal sense, if not an ethical one.
I've been buying all of my pet food from chewy for about 6 months now.
I am always surprised how quickly the packages show up.
The prices are very reasonable too given the high level of service they provide.

I have been my pet supplies auto ship from Chewy for years they change the days of the 2 shipments I receive monthly 24hrs earlier always a reason because of holiday etc. called 2 times this 1 week of Dec. First person said it was fixed second person stated they can not do this I wanted my items sent out the 4 and 5 of every month not earlier The supervisor that I spoke to today said I could phone in every month There convince NOT mine asked me if I wanted to return 200 dollars of items NO wanted them shipped out the 4 &3 then instead of helping ask if there was anything else he could help with RUDE... I am handicapped thought this would be good and easy for me SO WRONG quite the service today this is the second time of quit same problem say its fixed and its not. Quess TWO HUNDRED A MONTH is nothing for them WILL NOT GO BACK EVER insulting to customers.
Been a customer for years. Placed online order, after 4 days, instead of shipping it, they just cancelled it with no reason. After calling in, customer service said it was routine. Instead of clearing it up and sending the order, they kept asking me stupid questions about my pet. Will never order again. Buy from AMAZON! Better prices, customer service and faster shipping!
I have been buying a particular flavor of Blue Buffalo for over 3 years in a 5.5 oz. Can. A couple weeks ago they cancelled my autoship because Blue Buffalo stopped making that product in that size. I asked about other flavors and was told they were available. So added that to my autoship. Lo and behold that shipment was cancelled. Again because Blue Buffalo stopped making it in that size. So I checked Petcos web site places an order and it arrived yesterday. This morning I called Blue Buffalo that the product was still being made and they confirmed it was. So what game is Chewy playing, trying to get you to buy the 3 oz size at $. 30/oz vs the 5.5 oz at $. 18/ oz. Also Petco only requires a $35 order to get free shipping and Chewy min is $49. I called Chewy this morning and told them my future pet needs will be coming from Petco.
The Customer Service is completely useless because if You have any order issues You won't get a refund or replacement and end up having to open a dispute with Ur Bank and leaving Negative reviews all over the Internet and god forbid if You have to make another Account using a different email because You accidentally forgot the email and password to previous Account and they just Disable the new One or they will disable the original one when You have only had 1 order issue etc. Unless You want to go through hell with incompetent nothings I would steer clear.
I had a revolving order set up for every 8 weeks and when I realized it needed to be longer I tried to change it and was told if I spent 2 more dollars I could save shipping so I added a product and instead of just letting it role to the new date the site told me to buy now! I assumed that was a new date setup but no, It charged my card un authorized. So I contacted them and after the representative heard what I was saying he said it would be refunded in 48 hrs. I explained that would put me in an overdraft position and I would be forced to report the charge as fraud his next response was " I still have you being charged for your next delivery on Dec 3rd" I explained that if I was charged again it would be considered theft.
I will not order anything from them I ordered the same product twice promised to get it within 3 days. Never got them.
I tried chewy a couple weeks ago and my first order was separated into 3 packages. One got lost and another had the wrong item in it. I was really disappointed but I called customer service and they replaced everything. So I decided to give them another shot. However, on their site it says free 1-3 day shipping on orders over $49. But when I placed my second order, the tracking info told me I wasn't getting my stuff for another week... When I called to ask, they said that they don't ship on Mondays and since I placed my order late on Friday, it won't get shipped out until Tuesday and it's 1-3 days from there... So it's a bit misleading and if you need your item right away, go to Amazon, the prices are very similar. They should advertise 3-5 day shipping to be more accurate. So far not impressed. Hopefully my order (split into 3 packages again) don't have issues again... May just give up on them if they can't get their crap together.
I ordered medicines for my dog on Wednesday, delivery was promised for Saturday. It's Monday, and still no medicine. FedEx texted me that the shipment was out for delivery yesterday. Chewy's website says it is out for delivery today (Monday), Fedex told me that it is at their warehouse.
I would never purchase pet medicines from Chewy. They lie about delivery, and they don't return phone calls. BAD EXPERIENCE. Sherry at Hollywood office (if that is her real name) is an unhelpful supervisor.
My dog unexpectedly passed away one day after his RX food shipped. Once my pup was laid to rest and I kinda got myself together I called Chewy to cancel my pup's reoccurring shipment. As much as I thought I had it together when I started explaining to the customer service representative why I needed to cancel the shipments, I lost it. He was very empathetic and was able to help me quickly and painlessly. Chewy even refunded the money for my most recent shipment of dog food and told me to donate the bag to a local shelter in SAM's name. He also told me to call back if I just needed to talk to someone. I cannot express my gratitude enough for how painless Chewy customer service made an already painful time. I have always had great experiences with this company and recommend them, but now I highly recommend Chewy and commend their AMAZING customer service representatives.
We have used Chewy for several years. The price is great and I love having large bags of dog food and cat litter delivered to my door.
On top of that, customer service is top notch. We have received painted portraits of two of our pets just for being customers. When our cat died earlier this year, they helped me remove her from our profile and sent a card and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Any time I have contacted them for issues (which have been few and far between), they have come back with the perfect resolution.

I didn't believe the poor reviews I read so I tried the pharmacy. Believe the reviews folks. I ordered insulin a life saving medication. They still have not shipped one month later. I called and spoke to someone in the pharmacy and was assured it would ship next week. The order was paid for a week ago. However no syringes, they say they have never received a rx. I mailed it twice. Get your meds elsewhere or learn the hard way like I did. Don't believe their ads. Now I know why they spend so much and advertising.
Chewy is amazing. I love having my pet supplies shipped to my front door without having to sign up for a program, even before COVID. The auto ship is great as I don't have to remember when I need to order something. They have a wide selection and most everything I have looked for. The best part is their customer service. They are quick to respond, listen, care and make things right when there is a issue. Oh and you can't forget that they help out shelters too! Over all I have always had a good experience with them even when there has been a problem.
Never use Chewy pharmacy! As a large rescue, we use other online pet pharmacies. But we thought we would try chewy since their food orders are prompt. What a mistake! Vets have trouble accessing their portal, and even when your vet OKs a script, chewy pharmacy takes WAY too long to fulfill and ship! Their reps do not seem to know what is going on, their pharmacists take an unacceptable amount of time to fulfill, and worse, they do not offer any expedited shipping service for medicine!
Save your money and use one of the other many online pet pharmacies that fulfill and deliver quickly!
Chewy should stay with food and supplies and steer clear of pet meds!
We have been ordering many items through Chewy for years now, and we are also on the automatic shipment for our orders which has been extremely helpful. What impacted my wife and I most is the arrangement of flowers received within one week of putting our 11.5 year old Weimaraner down (See attached photo). We are not sure who Elizabeth is at Chewy, or how Chewy found out, but we will always order from Chewy just from this one amazing experience. Thank you Chewy
I love chewy, I've been using it since the beginning of the year and so far hadn't had any issues, until today. I wanted an order cancelled because the coupon code I tried to use didn't work and I simply didn't want to spend as much money as I did, so I called customer service. A very nice lady answered and cancelled the order for me, also sent out a full refund due to come back to my account in 3 to 5 business days. I ended up still getting the order that I'd cancelled, and I am still getting the refund for it! When I called again to ask if getting the order would affect my refund the man told me it would not, and if I really didn't NEED the items then they urged me to take it to a shelter or someone in need. I LOVE THAT! They are very nice and caring, 5 stars always for chewy.
So I ordered an automatic aquarium fish feeder for our aquarium from Chewy.com. It came. It was defective so I called Chewy and asked if I could return it. They said no. Keep it and we will send out a new one today with next day. Wow. It came. It worked a week and died. So I gave that brand up and bought a different one. When Chewy sent me a "Please review the feeder? I responded the first one was defective and after a week the second one died. But I remarked how nice Chewy was to send me a new one. The next day Chewy.com sends me a note that they are refunding the money for the defective feeder. HUH? How nice is that? I didn't even bother to report the second one for fear they would think I was being hard on the product. Seriously, how hard is adding food? Anyway I just ordered a different brand. Today, my refund was on my charge card. In a day when customer service rates zero for most companies... Chewy.com rates a perfect score. #customersatisfaction

Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
