No privacy on data

Chegg don't keep our privacy.
I suspect they sell our data or there is no proper authentication.
One fraud person as part of money scam, contacted me through Whatsapp and I found that they got my number form Chegg.
I understood that its a scam and on right time I blocked and reported.

Chegg.com sucks

This is for Chegg.com the tutor site. Stay away from this site. What a waste of money it was to susbscribe to "tutor" service when they don't even know the asnwers. I was so confused by their answers to all my homework questions becuase they sounded like they knew what they were saying. I found the answers by "expert" all wrong. In fact, I would fact-check their explanation and stick to my answers because chegg experts answers were ALL WRONG! Save your money and just gooogle the answers! You will learn more and less confused! Chegg.com should be shut down as it is a unprofessional and un vetted and poorly monitored site.

They advertise that they provide expert answers, however they just use chatgpt to provide entirely wrong and nonsense answers. They refuse to refund or get an actual expert to answer the question when a wrong answer is pointed out. They make people pay for chatgpt, which is free and public.

Waste of money

I bought the subscription and was charged $20 a month for absolutely nothing. Anything needed or relative to my subjects was not provided. Of a total of 6 different classes, I got maybe 3 right answers from chegg. So thanks for nothing

The first day I asked a question it was totally false answer. Then I asked others questions to "tutors" never received any answer. So I cancel my subscription. Please don't waste your money.

I texted the customer service few months ago to cancel my payment and deleted my account but then I just checked my bank account today and I found out that I was charged for every single months after I talked to them.
I contacted them to cancel my account late last year.

I called in today about the problem and they kept on saying they don't know why and will look into it just giving me sht excuses.
Such a scam website

Literally one minute after placing my order, I tried to cancel as it was the wrong edition. You can't. They had not yet sent the book - but they said they had to send the book and then I could return it.

They charged us twice, and told us that we had to order another subscription? Still waiting for refund. Their cusotmer service stinks. The girl I had on the phone hung up on me. They do nothing to help the customer, and in most cases these are STUDENTS, with not much money in their bank accounts! Shame on you.

I like to have a refund.

I signed up after I saw from the website that a question has been answered. It had 770 views.

When I signed up and saw the answer, it was a wrong answer because no answer was chosen. There were also 0 thumbs up, and 2 thumbs down.

A genuine business website would not have to resort to this shady business practice. Also I cannot help a help desk!

In three days of subscription, I already noticed Chegg was taking a lot of money from students and might not deliver the service as promised. In my experience, first, they gave a totally wrong answer. The second question, they responded, "need more information". I already gave everything, so I just asked "what info do you need". Until now, I have received any response from them. It was disappointing service. On the third day, I called them and asked for my money back. They said it's already passed 3 business days, but Matt the Customer Service Supervisor told me Chegg subscription is non-refundable. Two different people responded differently.

Suspended account

I renewed my account to create a study guide. The account was < 6 hours old when they suspended it for "suspicious activity." None of the triggers in their TOS were violated. Their customer support was not helpful and said it would take 48 hours to resolve. I needed to complete my guide that evening. They refused a refund and had abhorrent behavior.

Complain with the BBB, they will refund you.

I am so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This is their reply for a subscription I did not want and I never used. Tried to avoid the payment right away and they were no help.

Overrated study tool which may be great for certain people, I was looking for a platform to help me with improving my grade with Intro to Financial Accounting, and I was looking for solutions that I could use to check my answers for the material was studying. Nope the answers were completely different to what I searched and searching for help with the material is frustrating. There is no free-trial, and if you do accidently purchase a subscription, you are not usually eligible for a refund you can get refunded in certain circumstances, I did when I accidently purchased this last year which was my fault. However, this time I was not happy with how unhelpful it was in helping me study for my accounting class, and I decided to call for a refund which I was refused due to their policy of no refunds. I will not be continuing my subscription after this month, and Chegg may work for some people great but please purchase a Chegg subscription at your risk because it may not give you the help you are looking for.

I honestly thought it would be a "monthly" subscription, but it literally ends after checking 5 problems or lasted a few hours.
I resubscribed and it did the same thing.
So it's honestly a waste of money. It is helpful but it's just such a scam.

I joined chegg as a subject matter expert on 26th of february 2023. After working for a few days, they banned me on 3rd of march 2023 in just 5 days. I have given more than 20 solutions and one kid disliked me yet the answer is verified and correct but still they banned me. They have a corrupt system by which you can purchase subscription with fake account and like your solutions or else you are not going to be able to work there. The support was very bad, they didn't cooperate with me. If you want to work there, please i request you to spend your time and energy elsewhere as these guys are $#*!s.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. I have cancelled my subscription over 3 times now, and they continue to try to charge my card. I was told this time that they can't stop their system from trying to process the card. Truly makes no sense.

I am having to report my card as compromised to get it to stop.
