Poor Service. I asked for a refund because I couldn't get my answer and I kept mailing them. I haven't received my refund yet.
I paid for chegg subscription yesterday through MasterCard and now today they your transaction was declined. My money is already deducted from my account and they say they cannot do anything about it. Its just $#*!, dont fall for it.
Terrible site. Bought a subscription to use for my summer class and was banned for having a "shared account twice within the span of 48 hours. I NEVER shared my account with anyone. I travel between my college town and my hometown and was apparently flagged because I was on two different wifi networks. I only used the chegg app on my phone. You would think they could see I am only using one device. Complete garbage. Do not use.
I don't have a Chegg account and have never used its service, but I had recurring billing in my bank account for 1 year. I contacted Chegg and they told me to contact my bank for a refund as they can not locate any Chegg acount associated with my name/bank info. But Chegg refused to issue a document stating that I don't have any accounts with them. So I can't get a refund even I have reported a dispute to the bank.
After charging me every month for a year, they admitted that it is a case of fraudulent use of my financial information. However, they only provide me a refund of USD22 due to their '90 days refund policy like the bank'. They had been charging me USD22 every month for one year, more than USD 350 in total. At the end, I only got back USD22 from them.
I had been communicating with them on this recurring billing issue for months, none of their staff told me anything regarding the '90 days refund policy'. I asked them which day was first day and last day of the refund period of my case. They never answered and just ignored my request.
Someone was fraudulently using my card for months on this site.
Contacted the customer service team. Awaiting a fraud investigation.

Do not subscribe to these guys, it's a scam, I canceled by subscription last year and just found out they were still charging my card every month, they should not be allowed to have people card details
I failed to get a cancellation done on both my Chegg subscriptions in time. My bank charged me $49 overdraft fees. I quickly went into Chegg to cancel both subscriptions and thought I would be fine. No! Chegg continued to send my charges in after the cancellations! I am now out $98! Unscrupulous thieving company. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.
As far as receiving books before classes start and getting answers online, this site is great. However, my biggest issue revolves around returning my books and the customer service. I've been trying to download my shipping label to send my books back for the last TWO WEEKS and have run into the same issue. When I use the custom shipping label on their site, they send me the shipping label... that can only be downloaded. I've also tried calling their number and all I get is "go to chegg. Com/contactus", which doesn't allow you to actually ask questions about anything involving the company (ironic, I know). If you need books for your next semester, try to buy them digitally so that they at least don't charge extra after.
I have submitted a statistics problem for five times now, every time I submitted the problem/function is completely omitted out of what I am submitting. Customer service doesn't know what to do, and the people be on them don't seem to care. I suspect they know there's a bug in their system and they're not willing to admit it.
With the amount of security present on the site you would think they were trying to protect the nuclear launch codes and not just a website to help students with homework. Have to register as a device every time you log on no matter what device, but only let you register two devices per month? Used to be a lot better.
21 DAYS TO RETURN A BOOK FOR REFUND, UNLESS ITS AN EBOOK THAN 14 DAYS, THEY DONT TELL YOU THIS 14 DAYS RULE THOUGH, SO I CALLED TODAY AND MY 14 DAYS WERE UP SUNDAY ( TODAY I WEDNESDAY) AND THEY WONT REFUND THE 30$ FOR THW BOOK BECUASE ALTHOUGH IM IN THE 21 DAYS, IM OVER THE 14! JOKE! 11
So I bought Python homework solution, paid a fair amount and it even didn't pass! [---Your review contains inappropriate language here ---]... And they don't want to refund. This is awful.
I am sharing my good experience (on homeworkhelponline.net) on purpose, to screw chegg, because they did it to me.
Stay away from these guys, they only want your money, they do not care to help you at all!
According to their policy, you are only allowed to have access to your Chegg account on two devices, so I logged in my account on my laptop and my phone, and immediately I got restricted from using my chegg account due to "violation" their terms. I have been trying to reset my password to regain access to my account and I have chatted with many Chegg agents but none of these were helpful. Everytime I wanted to look up for an answer a message would pop up and say to subscribe with another account. Why do I need to subscribe again when I already have a subscription. All what they want is our money. I highly recommend to not use Chegg.
Unless you have a substantial amount of time to attempt to cancel this service, find another service. I have attempted to cancel this subscription for one year, and was forced to file disputes through my credit card. This is my third attempt to cancel this service. If anyone has the amount needed to cancel this service directly through Chegg, you're doing something wrong with your life and have entirely to much free time.
ISSUE #1: I was charged for another month's membership (Jan 2021) when I had canceled it in December 2020 (around the 12th) right after my semester ended. Cheggs sent an email stating that they had charged me by mistake and will refund my membership fee.
ISSUE #2: The card they charged was NOT the card I had on file. The card Cheggs charged was my bank card that I had them remove in November (I have the chat log in writing).
Now the customer service from Cheggs was giving me BS about how I had canceled my membership wrong thus it incurred another charged even though I RECEIVED THEIR EMAIL STATING THAT THEY ARE THE ONES THAT MADE THE MISTAKE. This "mistake" that was charged to the WRONG CREDIT CARD (not the card I have on file) incurred an NSF fee which they Cheggs customer service representative tells me that they "don't reimburse nsf fees" not even if it was their mistake that caused it.
THEY ARE THIEVES. DO NOT USE CHEGGS EVER!
They keep texting me for returning the book before due date or they will charge me with extra fee plus taxes that was almost 1/4 of book price. And in other scenario, when I was returning my book after 23 days(their return policy is 21 days) all they say was thank you, what I mean to say that they charge you if you keep the book 2 days above due date but no compensation if you return it 3 months earlier. That's not fair at all. The book was in great condition. No complains about that.
I have been trying to close my account but they can't let me to. They keep on debiting my bank card.
Answer: Half real half scam wil work for a day or 2 then lock you out
Answer: The monthly money is for an additional service. You can opt out of it at the time of your order. Supposedly. Check other reviews. Many of them say they were still charged after canceling the service. My best suggestion is to stay away from Chegg if at all possible.
