CheckPeople.com presents a mixed reputation among its users. On the positive side, many customers appreciate the quality and accuracy of the background checks, citing detailed reports and useful information that can be difficult to find elsewhere. However, significant concerns arise regarding deceptive billing practices, with numerous complaints about unauthorized subscription charges and difficulties in canceling services. Customer service experiences are often criticized for being unresponsive or overly focused on upselling rather than addressing issues. Overall, while some users find value in the service, the prevalent negative feedback highlights a need for greater transparency and improved customer support.

I was really sick of finding outdated information every time I tried to look up a
Phone number that was calling me. Checkpeople seems to be very up to date,
And their customer service even helped me go through the results to see what
Was still relevant. I finally feel like I can trust what calls I answer and stop getting
Scam calls day and night.
There were specific hints about the woman, offered names of possible relatives whom I KNOW are relatives, past residential locations and so on. I got to the end of the process after at LEAST a HALF HOUR, paid via debit card. And then there was NO REPORT AT ALL. It sure stings and feels like a total gyp. I just hope they don't think they can use my debit card number as much as they want. AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
I used Check People to plan a family reunion. It helped me find the current address and email for every relative I had lost touch with. Thanks to Check People. All my family has now reconnected and we're closer then we ever were before. Thanks
I had a bad feeling about my neighbor, and my mail kept going missing, so I looked them up on check people. Very quickly, check people gave me a full report on everyone who lives near me, including their real names and criminal background - which has made it much easier to know who around me I can actually trust.
Ran a check on myself and was shocked that absolutely nothing was true because I wouldn't pay the fee they posted it on my phone anyway. Now I cannot get rid they noticed us after months of trying! What a scam do not fall for it if I could give it a lower score I would like a double zero or below that even!
I purchased the $1.00 trial to look up someone. Service indicated individual was in area requested. Did not pull anyone there. Charged me $6.99 for pdf version which I didn't understand I was authorizing. Seems a little scammy. Cancelled easily.
I used Checkpeople find out more about someone I met on a Tinder, and it made me feel so much safer. If you date online, I really can't recommend them enough. It makes it so easy to find out if someone is really who they say they are - and even if they're married!
I used CheckPeopleto try and find my first love, and it actually worked. The site was user-friendly, and before I knew it, I was able to reach out to someone I thought was gone from my life forever. I couldn't be more grateful! Thanks
I had a fantastic experience using CheckPeople to run a background check on myself before I went to a job interview! There search is incredibly powerful, but what really stood out to me was the customer service I received. When I had a question about my search results, they were so friendly and patient with me when I called. Other sites were confusing and unhelpful, so this was a breath of fresh air.
This is a ripoff! The information supplied was very incomplete and inaccurate. Then they charged $6.99 for a pdf copy of the same information that you see in the report. A waste of $.
Do not use check people people PCHLLC or been verified. All three companies will keep charging you $30 a month after they say it's a one time fee. I am writing reviews this morning and contacting my bank and the Better Business Bureau to look into the scam. They claim to charge you one dollar but will continuously charge you monthly. If you don't immediately cancel your subscription, It's a scam. It's all in the fine print
This site advertises "free" checks then after 5 - 10 minutes of waiting for the site to compile results you have to pay to see the report. I don't mind paying for a service, but don't tell me its free, waste my time and then charge me for what you just said was free. I am fed up
I fell out of touch w/ my family and sought my grandmother's address as she won't use a phone. The advertised.99ยข +. $5.99 service charge was fine and I paid. Next day my bank informed me check people had taken an additional $29.90 out of my account, almost overdrawing me. These liars are scum. Reporting them is useless. If you know their whereabouts achieve retribution if you can. Otherwise you're screwed.
They take your money! They don't give a refund and the information is extremely sparse! Do not trust these people. The free trial is a scam!
Charged 3 times in the 5 day "free trial" $1 for the trial, $6.99 then 29.99 because they say on the account was not canceled. I would NOT trust them. Call and cannot even speak to am American? I sent 3 emails, amazingly they do not get them? Scam!
I put in my own name to see what was about there. I did not buy the subscription. Since then I have been receiving pop-ups about how awful I am and all the illegal stuff I have done. I only have a ticket for an expired license plate. And as I am typing, the last pop-up said I was currently being arrested. I read this from the comfort of my own home. Legit or not? You make up your own mind. As for me, this site if fishy.
I was given an address in a state the person has never lived in. Phone numbers are 20-25 years old!
Tried to do a background, and it said pay 1$ to access information for the day. It charged me however it is only giving me the loading screen. I have tried to close out and reboot. Still brings me back to a loading screen. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
A whole lot of erroneous information about the three people I checked (mainly just for fun) I was amazed when I checked my background to find that I was DECEASED! Most of my actual information, i.e., where I lived, my employment, my assets, etc. was blank or incorrect. The majority of the information which supposedly represented me was wrong. The other two names I checked had the same erroneous information...except they are alive!
Answer: Scam! Beware, they will drain your bank before you even have a chance to notice!
Answer: I had to cancel my card with my bank and file 3 claims before I got $4.33 back. But, Check people will say they didn't take it and say that you have to do a 3 way call for them to verify. I don't know about you, but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to technology.
Answer: BECAUSE THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF! CALL YOUR CARD HOLDER IMMEDIATELY AND STOP PAYMENT!
Answer: Report them to the FCC. I did. They say they'll charge you one amount, then go nuts on your card.
