Information not up-to-date. Run-around on being within cancellation time-line. When cancelling customer rep told me about different features—trying to keep me subscribed. Told her I didn't want *any* of their features/service at all. Tried to tell me that info was up-to-date. Don't order this service. Just. Don't.

I used this company, I canceled, they're still fraudulently billing my credit card,, I will contact the BBB to notify them. Do not, I repeat do not use this company,, they don't deserve No star, but you have to choose to go to the next question

Your custumer service is good. The person I spoke with was patient and very pleasant to talk to. I would not hesitate to recommend Check People to others.

READ the fine print if you use this site. Paid $1 to get my report and then was subsequently charge $29 for an automatic subscription. You can only cancel by calling or emailing their customer support. There is no way to cancel through your actual account, which they do so when you call to cancel they can keep trying to sell you more things. My customer service representative was nice enough, but kept trying to ask if I wanted to subscribe to other services. No, cancel my account OR offer a way to do it through your accounts dashboard. I understand I clearly did not read the fine print, but this day in age it's messed up for a company to not offer an easy way to opt out of a subscription through no customer service contact.

The results didn't give near as much information as i'd hoped it would. I was unhappy with my results and they charge you the maximum amount possible if you happen to miss the deadline to call them and cancel. Yeah you have to call them to cancel because there's no options online.

I called 3 times back to back and the representative changed her name all 3 times. She told me I had a $1 charged but when I check my account it was for almost $30, disgusted at these scammers

I wanted to check their background checks, trial $1, then out of nowhere a $6.99 charge for pdf. Beware.No receipts.

I just simply wanted to check my background and was told I'll be charged $1. Go to check my card balance and realize my card is missing 6.99 plus 29.17. Called to get a refund and they only gave me back 6.99 instantly and said the 29.17 will come in 3 to 5 business days. The report was not legit information about me and they gave me more information about sex offenders that live around me. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

I used service one time. Cancelled on second day of trial period. When I hung up from phone my card alert went off. They charged my card for a full month. When I called back they flat out lied about charges. Now I am out the money for at least 4 days. What the company did was credit card fraud, everyone needs to check their charges and dates. I will be calling the State Attorney Generals office in Alabama and Florida and see about pressing charges. Maybe a lawyer will file a class action suit also.

I need the info to sue these people, they stole my money. They offer a 3 day trial and after an hour they suspended my account and refused to refund me. I didn't do anything wrong but they "claim" I violated the rules.

Please don't waste your money! They say they use public record however their information is either outdated or wrong! They give current dates on information that is 10 years old! I know for a fact two people I was checking about had criminal records yet my report from here said neither did! How did you not find their criminal records they are public record! Why should anyone trust you to do background check when you can't even provide correct public information! Save your money because even when you call them out about inaccurate information they will not give you a refund!

Check history on someone, informed me of information 10 years ago, no work history. Called and cancelled a fast as possible. Cost 5 dollars... well wastes 5 dollars... their customer support of course blamed the local court house here... not exactly a small city but who knows. Don't waste your money on this out of date piece of trash site. There has to be better sites, facebook would tell you more about the person than this place..

I just really need to warn anyone who may consider using this service. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. They have hidden charge here and there and you got lured in thinking it's just $1! They are very deceiving and will not be helping you with anything. Also, the reason they need you to call in to cancel instead of a click on the website, is that they still want to SELL you no matter how many times you tell them you don't want it. It's a very disturbing service. Don't be fooled into this. Save your money somewhere else with transparency.

They say free backround checks, then they say it's $1 and I find out I was charged $29. Totally unacceptable and should be ILLEGAL. This site should be taken down.

I only today signed up for 1.09 just trying to find old pic of myself from outdated id. They gavee totally inaccurate information, says i am dead sais lots of inaccurate things. Cannot even access old drivers license as they said they could so i called to let them know and cancel only to discover they had been in my bank account already( within minilutes) and withdrew 8.98 instead 9f 1.99. When i said they didnt have my permission she rudely replied " you should read all the agreement". Scammers. Buyer beware. Do Not use this website. Checked myself online and found 8 arrest and conviction records were all wrong!

This is a total scam service. The "information" this business provides is incorrect. They combine public records of multiple people with similar names and addresses. I've never had a traffic violation, never been arrested or charged with any crime. I have only had 3 addresses in the same town and state my entire life. This stupid company "reports" that I have lived in states I have never even visited and that I have multiple criminal records. All based on distant relatives with similar names and completely different people living at an address before or after me. The site should be shut down and the owners prosecuted. They are commiting libel and defamation.

I signed up for a "3 day free trial" 5/18/22 just checked my account today 5/19/2022 they literally took $6.99 plus $4.99 for i called & asked why? "Inserting my card and signing up for a free trial" What the What? SCAM!
