They have hidden fees in their terms and conditions fine print and they are not listed even on the invoice they email you! It just shows up on your credit card statement. And they don't even give you the time of day when you call them.
I have been trying to get a refund on my fathers flight with nothing but the run around! It's bad enough that I am grieving his death but now I am fighting with them to get a refund. The "LIVE" person is in the Ukraine and they are hard to understand and when you ask for a for a supervisor there isn't one to be found. I have now called them 7 times with no results... I will never use them again!
Completely just ripped off my parents who are seniors cancelling their flight and not providing a refund. They've been hours and hours on the phone to try to get an explaination and have just been on hold... how do they get away with this...

Charge my card without confirmation. Send seat selection link day before flying, I pick open seat. No notice of charge in link and charge just showed up. Barely can understand the broken English of call center agent. Never use cheapo air again
Booked a quick trip to Vegas over the phone, he said he couldn't show us the flight details until after we paid, so we paid over the phone, he sent us the email and HE BOOKED A RANDOM FLIGHT FOR A RANDOM MONTH! When I contacted customer service, they said that I would now need to pay $1000 more for the CORRECT flight... it's a scam! DONT USE THEM! I now have to contact my CC company and report fraud. Just use something else. I've always had good luck with Expedia and Agoda.
I did extensive comparisons for my trips to Asia and without fail CheapOair finds me the best deals. They are also good at seat selections and updating you when there is an itinerary change with your flights.

1. charge seat selection service fee without telling customer (the selection of seat is free from airline)
2. Charge $75 cancellation fee that booked less than one hour( credit card don't even process the transaction)
3. Charge seat change fee. This suppose to be free from the airline.
My wife and I are taking two of our grandchildren to China. After paying CheapOair, I called them up to get assigned seats. The representative informed me that the cost for assigned seats for the roundtrip would amount to approximately an extra $1200 total. Even though we cancelled within a few hours, they charge a $75/ticket cancellation fee, which almost no one else charges. If it is not in violation of the US Dept. of Transportation rules, it is certainly in violation of their intent. I do not understand how they think that this will not cost them much more in the long run, as we belong to various travel groups. Very poor public relations. Disgraceful. Fortunately we managed to get a better value elsewhere.
Tried to cancel my flight to get my money back then found out that my 3 tickets are nonrefundable. The guy on the phone said that I can get my insurance money back along with another refund that totaled $59.78. But to get that I would have to pay $150 first to cancel my tickets. So if I have to pay $150 which is $50 a piece. I'm only getting $9.78 back from a $400 trip plus the extra $100. No Thank You! Will not be using them ever again.
Be careful when you book. Even though there is a 24 hour cancellation policy, they still charge you a fee to cancel. Will never use this company again

Good prices but very bad customer service. Customer representatives are very impolite they don't have any idea how to deal with customers matter.
CheapOair has scammed a foreign transaction fee from me. There was no mention of this fee when I booked. I have spoken to someone through livechat and followed his instructions to call my bank. My bank told me that the fee had been charged because your website is not an Australian one even though it says/au at the end. Obviously I would not have used you if I had know of the extra HIDDEN charge
I love cheapoair. I made a mistake and bought a flight for the wrong date. I called and a the rep. Was very nice and understood my concern. He searched for the dates I wanted and even gave me the times to pick and accommodate my flight the way I wanted. I will continue to use cheapoair for as long as I travel.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
