I travel a lot and have never gone through such a nightmare as with CheapOair/One Travel. My flight, that I in good faith paid them for about a half year in advance, was canceled which they did not notify me about and I was fortunate to find out 2 days before or I would have just appeared at the Cyprus Airport with NO FLIGHT! Then, when I contacted them, they kept saying they would offer me options but NEVER got back to me with any alternate flight so we were stranded in Larnaca, Cyprus with no flight back to Heathrow - which we had paid for. They obviously do not give a damn about their customers and should be shut down before they take advantage of other innocent, unsuspecting people.

Stay away from cheapoair

I booked our vacation tickets 40 days in advance before my vacation, a week before trip Cheapoair called and told me airline changed the schedule. I asked them to let me research and I'll get back to them. I called them, I was on hold for 25 minutes and then they said I have to pick the new schedule that they force me to take with layover time of 25 hours! After being on the phone for 2 days each time average 2 hours they didn't do anything, they didn't take responsibility or find me a ticket with better hours, dates or airline. They have untrained staff, supervisors with no power and poor customer service. Anytime you call you have to waste minimum 2 hours of your time. They insisted to give my money back and full refund me to not take the responsibility. I told them you canceled my flight a week before the flight and you want to refund me? What can I buy with that money a week before my vacation? Wrote the email for CEO and no answer either. I found my ticket somewhere else and asked for full refund and guess what? It takes two months to give my money back. I want to sue them.

Had to call an agent because the website couldn't remember my selections. Had to cancel due to illness and the merry-go-round started. The call center is in the Ukraine. 1st agent was so poorly trained with a terrible accent, I had to hang up and call again for another agent. The second agent was a little more understandable, but lacked basic cancellation info. If I had taken his advice and used the future credit option with the airline ( I bought insurance) I would have lost 90% of my fare with NO option to use the insurance down the road. To make matters worse, cheapoair charges $50.00 per person to cancel the booking. They profit from the ticket sale ( insurance reimburses NOT cheapoair) then profit from your illness cancellation. I had to call the next morning to speak with a third agent to actually cancel the flight. Do yourself a favor, use a travel agent, as after you add on all of the extra charges, it's really not worth it using these online sweatshops.

I booked a ticket for my mom and brother because I found a great deal and wanted to lock in that rate while we firmed up our travel plans. The site said they offered "24 hour cancellation" so I decided to book it right away. Nowhere unless you clicked on the "24 hour cancellation" link does it say they charge a fee. I ended up having to pay $150 to cancel my reservation 15 hours after I bought it. They are clearly hiding the fee in the hopes that people will book tickets without hesitating and then if they cancel be able to profit of that as well. This is a dirty tactic and not how you keep customers coming back. When I called to disoute the charge they offered absolutely no help (and sent me to a call center outside of the US). Do not use.

The cancellations policy is you can cancel within 24 hours for a refund of your airline ticket with a processing fee. The "'free' cancellation only pertains to airlines and not 3rd party travel sites.

We paid for the flight and upgraded seats. The flight was cancelled along with the seats. There is no way to return the money. Contacted customer service several times. The message says that the waiting time is 15 sec. In reality, they put you on hold for 30 minutes or so. They refused to transfer you to supervisor. Never got the money back regardless of the promise to process the refund whiting 48 hours.

Never Again
October 24, 2018

Had to head home quickly for a funeral and booked with Cheapoair. Will never do that again because they used frontier and I had two confirmation numbers which screwed everything up along with making me pay twice for checked bags. Luckily the airlines screwed up and left my bag in PHX so I was able to get compensated for the items I needed, but will never use Cheapoair nor ever fly Frontier again.

Do Not Use Cheap-O-air!

When I booked my flight to Vegas, I selected the dates 11/10-11/18. When my boyfriend reviewed our flights we noticed that the return date was 11/20 not 11/18. I never selected the 20. At all. I have a screen show showing what dates I inputed. CheapOair refused to adjust my dates for free and told me I couldn't cancel my flight overall even with insurance.

This is something that happened last year, but I want to comment what happened to me here. I booked a flight to Korea a while back, and I had to change the name on my ticket to match my passport since I forgot to include my middle name. Most airlines allow you to do this with little trouble and no additional fees if it's within 24 hours, I think? Flexible Tickets? I purchased Flexible Tickets insurance for $74.85. CheapOair Charged me $2,272.35 to change dates due to a cancelled trip stating $1,522.35 was Emirates penalty fee and the other $750.00 was their penalty fee. Emirates denies they charged anything to change the dates. In addition I purchased the trip cancellation policy from CheapOair for $938.85 and "trip cancellation" is not covered! I won't be using CheapOair again!

Beware of Cancellation Fee

I bought tickets, Dublin to Athens to Malta to Dublin, I wanted to cancel the Athens leg and simply fly Dublin to Munich (on original trip route to Athens) and then take the flight from Germany to Malta and back to Dublin: asked for no refund or date changes and would pay a penalty if needed. Cheapo would not work with Lufthansa to allow cancellation of Athens leg, they blamed all on Lufthansa, they offered to rebook but it would cost me $1200 more, yes that is more even if i took the flights i already booked. Then they said if I didn't get on the plane from munich to greece all legs of the trip thereafter are cancelled. This strict policy was not explained when tickets purchased. When i finally got the cancellation policy which they said was lufthansa's it was darn hard to interpret. Cheapo would not change a date, cancel a leg of the trip that would cost nothing to them or lufthansa, and refused to offer any alternative. I will never book with these folks again, I lost over $1500.

A big scam=cheapoair

I wish there was zero star to rate this company but there is not.
I booked two tickets on Dec. 2-2017 11:35 pm at cheapoair Canada web site for My Daughter which has a School Interview along with my son going to New York next year. When I printed out the itinerary 4 hours later, I found a big problem on the booking, I booked the ticket For Feb. 12-2018 and return flight for Feb14-2018 but what printed Itinerary was showing was for Jan. 12 -2018 and Return flight for Jan. 14-2018So I called their Customer Service right away and asked them to solve the problem because as per their policy Customer has the right for any change within 24 hours and for my case it took 4 hours to discover Problem and call them. That call was so frustrating and ended to a bigger issue, I understood they are simply scamming people. I clearly explained the problem to the person in customer service and ask for a simple correction on the Tickets.He stressed me out so that it is the end of the world. No matter if it was my mistake or a glitch in their website that caused this problem, the agent told me that this tickets are not refundable and There is nothing they can do about it and there are no way to change anything on those ticket and I cannot even cancel them because if I ask for cancellation; I will lose all the money I already paid. Later he said that there is a way to do the change if I pay money and he asked for extra $340 to fixed the problem and he stressed me out so that I was thinking that I will lose all I paid before, so I asked him to connect me to his Supervisor but he said there is no manager or Supervisor. So He charged me for that change and told me that this money will go to West Jet Company and nothing will go to their account but he was lying about it. The maximum penalty on my tickets could be a $50.
Everything: 1= price of ticket is higher in Jan. Compare to Feb. Because it is a dear time for flight And I already paid for Jan. So I asked him for refund of the difference and he replied that there is no refund for the Difference.
I checked with westjet to see if they got the penalty fee but they didn't get the money.
It is all about cheating customer by cheapoair.
This is a scam company.
Stay sway from them.

Dishonest

I booked my airline tickets 5 months ahead with CheapOAir. All of a sudden I receive an URGENT Email from Cheapoair pertaining to the last leg of my trip coming home was cancelled by Air Canada. After calling Air Canada they said that they DID NOT CANCEL THE FLIGHT COMING HOME, SECOND They would NEVER Charge 200.00 for a change fee if it was Air Canada who made the change. Not only did CheapOair lie they also put the tickets up from $676.00 to $1600. 00 I am still in a fight with CheapOAir the issues have not been resolved. My trip is December 17th as of now I have no communication from CheapOAir. * VICE PRESIDENT believe it or not of customer service at CheapOAir promised he would resolve this and nothing after his emails and his telephone calls making promises

Purchase 2 tickets and cancelled before departing they told me that i can use for credit in the future, so after i call to use the credit they ask me to pay 500 dollars in top before using 745 credit dollars for flying inside canada for only 2 people do no use this company it a BIG SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM ALERT TO EVERYONE ALERTS ALERT DO NO PAY TO THIS COMPANY

Airlines are required by law to offer a full refund if cancelled within 24 hours. CheapoAir charges a $50 fee to cancel. The fine print is impossible to find and when booking it says you can cancel within 24 hours. Total misrepresentation. Next email is to the attorney general. Stay away.

I booked flights with checked baggage. I was charged for the baggage but it was never added to my booking. After contacting customer service, baggage was added, I was charged for it a second time and it was less baggage than I paid for.
Customer service refused to refund the overcharge even after I provided bank statements showing that I was charged twice and I had to pay more money to the airline to increase my baggage allowance.

I purchased a plane ticket knowing that there was a 25% chance I would have to cancel. So, with two witnesses in the room with me, I selected and paid extra for the cancellation option listed. Now, Cheapoair is lying and saying that option is only for emergencies (that was listed absolutely nowhere, three people double checked) and they are pawning the "claim" off to some third party site. Miserable business practice at best.

Idiots!

CheapOAir is a rip! One of our flights to Europe was cancelled and they replaced it with a 14 hour layover in Manchester. Then, on our return flight home, we were told our 1 hour and 53 minute layover was insufficient for customs and the only flight they could get us was the following morning! A 16 hour layover! And they didnt tell us that until the day before our trip! I will NEVER use CheapO again!

As a travel agency we don't have a say in what flights the airlines change, or what options they will give the customers, but we do go back and let them know if the options don't work, and we start over.
