This has been the worst experience I have ever had. Cant get ahold of anyone, then they lied to me. Straight up lied. I would recommend you DO NOT BOOK through Cheapoair! Dont bother to request a call back. They never call, i requested a call back 3 or 4 times on a time sensitive matter but bc they never got back with me now I am screwed for what I wanted.
So excited to get a great price! I am going to see my best friend from high school. :)
Booking my flight experience was awesome, because company is charging money for that, but once it comes to refunds (due to Covid-19), I have been put on hold for several hours, I can not do refunds via emails. Just calling is an option. Agents are available if you want to make a new booking but in case of refund or rescheduling, no one picks up the call. I even called them by choosing the option that I want to make a new booking, agents picked up my call but as I told them my issue, they transferred my call to an unknown department and then I kept on waiting... waiting. Waiting. And after 1 hour 6 minutes phone automatically got disconnected stating that number you have dialed does not exist. How is this even possible as I already waited for more than an hour. I need a solution not sympathy. I will again write a review related to what steps you took after my concern. I have attached the photos of different numbers called by me without any answer
I'm writing this review during this whole corona virus outbreak in which they have shut down almost all businesses, shut down flights abroad, and soon will probably shut down everything else. Well we were planning on going to Florida but the concert got canceled, beaches are closed, restaurants & bars are closed, etc. I decided to call the airlines to get a refund on tickets We Have "Insurance" on. Well they said they do not wish to give us a refund even though we had insurance and gave them multiple valid reasons we no longer can go. Waited on a chat for over 12 HOURS (I'm not joking) and the guy told me to call a number (that was disconnected) or to text "whatsapp" (lol which is unprofessional) and speak to someone on there? Well when all of this is over and we start traveling again I will know to NEVER book through this website or spirit again. I will continue to share my experience as well. Shows how much they care about their customers
We booked a ticket to go from Wellington-Sydney-Xiamen China on 15/3/2020 but then of course it was cancelled due to Coronavirus outbreak. We were promised to get a full refund of the original purchase price (about $802 AUD). When no money was received after a reasonable time, we followed up and then in early March about $22.76 NZD was received finally. We rang their USA number and were passed around 3 or departments and waited all together for over an hour so we had to hang up in the end. We did online chat with them today and were given a different US number to ring. When we rang, as soon as our booking number was keyed in, the line was cut off! We tried the other US numbers we can find online, after the first ring, we were cut off straightaway! So we tried their Australian number, we were not cut off but waited for more than 30 minutes and the message kept saying someone will answer shortly but it still wasn't answered after 30 minutes - we got no choice but hang up.
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED with their service! I am convinced now CHEAPOAIR cannot be trusted with your booking or money!
Needed to name changes to an existing reservation. Tried to call and got busy signals or blank tone. Sent email and 4 days later have not received a response. Have tried 'chat" online and have been holding 5 hours and not one yet. Not worth the few dollars in savings to have terrible customer service. With the Coronavirus it is unusual circumstance3s and I presume they are swamped but to be ignored for days is not acceptable. I will never book with them again. Wasn't even asking for a refund just a voucher to rebook next year. No replies! *******, *******
They lie... they don't respond... And they have a fake voice mail using Corona-virus situation. I have 18 hours left for my flight and voice mail says that I have more than 72 hours... No one is replying the phones, no one is answering the live chat. I can not hold to anybody for last 2 days...

Our cruise was canceled. I've been trying to get ahold of ANYONE, by chat, phone, online for 4 days. Unable to cancel my flight online, but it hangs up on me as soon as you connect the call. The one time it didn't hang up on me, I held for one hour, just for it to say "this phone has been disconnected", and then hang up. No one responds to chat live. I would like to hope that when the rest of the travel industry is going out of their way to make a bad situation right, you will do the same, when my flight comes and goes, and you are unable to allow me to cancel it. Not asking for a refund, but at least a future credit.

This is the worst company when it comes to customer service. I understand people have been cancelling all flights and it is busy due to Coronavirus situation. But most of the customer service has few mins or may be even few hours of wait time. But CheapOair made me wait from yesterday 11 am till today 3 pm which is 28 hours. And as I am typing this review, the person who is in chat with me is actually putting me hold for 1 hour. And now they are cancelling the bookings with holding almost 60% of the booking amount. WTH.
They are the worst agency I've ever dealt with. No communication. No services. Please don't use! They completely suck!

I wanted to cancel my flight reserved with CheapOair and NONE of their cancellation phone numbers are working. I then went on their Live Chat and waited over SIX hours to finally text with a live rep. When the rep realized I was asking for a cancellation letter, the rep transferred my text to the cancellation dept. There were over 1100+ people waiting. I hung up because I didn't want to wait another 12 hours. I waited 6+ hours when there were 692 people ahead of me. What stinks is that CheapOair will not accept any email questions regarding cancellations. What a waste of my time. I will never use this service again.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the granddaughter's wedding in Cancun on 3/28 has been postponed and I need to cancel my flight. DO NOT PURCHASE THE TRAVEL INSURANCE THEY OFFER. Last night I was on hold for almost one hour, I gave up. Forget the "chat", no one ever answers. This morning I called multiple phone numbers and the call gets dropped or I get a busy signal. I have set up a call back for 10 am this morning (3/16). I set up several call back times, NO
Call. Now, forget even getting through.
Update: I did get a call only after I contacted the CEO. Since Cheapoair sells tickets for Vivaerobus, a Mexican airline, yet another road block. It has been a nightmare. I asked Cheapo to contact the airline to get vouchers for all those who bought tickets. I have yet to get a response.

We've flown with CheapOair on plenty of our trips before, without any troubles. However, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we chose to cancel our flight out of fear. Their customer service is non-existent. The online chat disconnects often, and when it doesn't, it takes over 8 hours to get below 99th in the queue. Their hotline disconnects you whenever it feels like it, even after hours spent waiting. I gave them sympathy for the first few days, as this disease wasn't expected, but its been several days and there's no improvment. It's flabbergasting that a company with this appalling customer service can still be in business. I don't like thrashing companies, because I get it, it's a tough business. However, we can't even contact them. Never again, be warned.

Renting a car through CheapOAir has been an absolute nightmare. I rented a car through CheapOair for Thrifty car rentals. I'm trying to turn the rental in early due to the Corona Virus and Thrifty will not adjust my cost. They said that since I booked it through Cheapoair they cannot alter the contract. When I go to Cheapoair I'm told to go back to Thrifty. It's been a back and forth mess with no resolution. The best CheapOair can adjust my account is a one time $25 credit. REALLY! If I could give them no stars I would.

I called them from my second phone it goes through I said maam please give me a refund I have to stay home and I'm missing work. I need this money to pay my bill. Waited online for 10+ hours to be transferred again, waiting another 5+ hours to be told they cant change flights. What a pathetic company would never recommend. Book direct and pay the extra baggage because you'll be let down with this company...

Obviously coronavirus is creating a challenge but this is unacceptable I am not being allowed to cancel my flights. Booking #*******
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
