I'd like to start off by saying the service was good in the beginning then as the covid19 spread they canceled our tickets for obvious reasons so we tried to contact them several times about our tickets and as soon as we mentioned our tickets they hang up their response to our 3200$ canceled tickets was A $400 refund and nothing else not even a call to reschedule Please don't lose your hard earned money due to something that was outside of your control shop around!

Please stay away from this website its a scam. Whenever i call questioning my refund or travel credit the just cut the call on my face.
Be sure you can loose your money by using Cheapoair. We ordered tikets through them, airline company cancelled the flight and chepoair said that can only purchase with that company later (what is impossible because visa will expire). When asked for money back, they stated that not sure if airline company can do it. Question of the day: we could order directly from airline company, what is chepoair job and what do the get payed for? Also be careful when u get from them additional service that they told us over the phone we can have discount. The discount was 10$, not anywhere close to 50$. Is a big scam. Also spend 3 hours on hold today calling multiple times and was disconnected twice, (quess they don't want to pay money back). If I will not get my money back for cancelled by the air company plain that we ordered less than a week ago, will proceed with further actions. Will never use this site again.
Booked flight and insurance April 23 with Cheapoair. Flight canceled April 26 for June 5 flight with COPA from Colombia to Kelowna. April 26 completed on line info. As only form of cantact to rebook. Message back will contact by phone within a few days. Emailed Customer Service answer was will contact shortly April 27. Now May 4th no contact. STATUS UPDATE 60 days later no refund now told to deal with Copa. DO NOT DEAL WITH CHEAPOAIR. They are liars.
EVERYONE NEEDS TO REPORT THIS COMPANY TO BETTER BUISINESS BUREAU...
Also call your local government to report them.

Bought 5 round trip tickets plus the service fee plus travel insurance. Nothing but the run a round since having to cancel due to the virus. Every email says we will review in 7-10 days. Been over a month and called my credit card company. Not only was I nor refunded the ticket price, they had an additional charge of $175 to cancel the tickets but no refund. This is the very worst I have ever been treated virus or no virus. Shame on CheapOair but guess their name says it all. Never again

CHEAPO CHARGED ME A $70 CANCELATION FEE WHEN THE AIRLINE HAD CANCELED THE FLIGHT 2 DAYS EARLIER. THEY TOLD ME I COULDNT GET A REFUND ON MY MONEY JUST A CREDIT FOR $232 WHEN I PAID $325. INSTEAD THEY CHARGE ME MORE!
If you flight booked on Cheapo goes well, thank your lucky stars! If it does not go well, don't expect any help... even if you pay the additional amount for insurance or their "Premium" customer service... there is non. You get the same number as everyone else... and currenty the phone number they give out on their website does not work. And when you fill out the forms online... hope and pray you get an answer. I have booked more then 5 trips and flights on Cheapo... and they are dishonest to say the least. They try to rip you off whenever they think they can get away with it... I tried to cancel flights and they just sent me the same standard emails... no help!
Have you seen the thousands of complaints on all of social media concerning their policies. No refunds on cancelled flights is against the law. Today I posted on seven different private groups on Facebook in four countries an offer of $10,000 to support, seed and start a class action suite in any country at any time. My Mother, may she R. I. P,, bought Apple at $3 a share (5,000 shares). After two two for one splits and one 7 for one split I have more money than what I know do with it. I am 68 and retired, I swear on her grave that I will devote any funds and time to get this going.

I bought a round ticket for my mother in law, a 80 year old women, and trust me it wasn't cheap. Due to COVID19 she couldn't travel. I called them to cancel and get refund and it was a nightmare to get hold of someone to speak to not only hanging up on me multiple times after putting me on hold for at least 30 min but also not clearly answering my request of refund blaming it on the airline. I strongly do not recommend them and would advise to spend extra $$ to insure better customer service with a much more reliable agency.
Absolutely awful; unable to reach by phone or with multiple emails over several weeks regarding illness-caused trip cancellation. Also charged without notification additional fees to my credit card, presumably for the cancellation, without bothering to refund the expensive trip. Now have to appeal to credit card company to resolve!
My flight has been cancelled due to COVID-19 yet I can't get any answers from Cheap O Air and I can't get them to refund my money. All I get is a message that they received my question. The airlines say I have to get the refund from Cheap O Air. They can't issue it but I should be getting a refund. What horrible service. I can't see ever using them again. Just to update this, they told me they would refund my money after this review only to take over $800 in fees from my refund. Then told me who knows when it will actually get back on my card. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. I assume I'll need an attorney to get my money back.
I originally booked my flight to Tokyo Japan through Cheapoair in September (I purchased travel insurance through them as well). The Flight was suppose to be on April 16th, 2020. I decided o cancel my flight on March 5th, 2020 due to the severity of the Corona virus pandemic. The lady on the phone claimed that she couldn't give me a full refund because the pandemic wasn't a valid reason to cancel. She only promised me $160 even though I paid $778.72! I started to question her about it and she hung up one me! A few days passed by and I only got $60 back. I am outraged that I didn't even get the little that they promised me! Covid 19 should be a valid reason to cancel and I should have got my full $778.72 back. I do not recommend Cheaopair to anyone! They do not respect their customers.
Shady pricing - tried to charge me to cancel my flight due to COVID and claim it was the airline policy. Called the airline and they said all cancellations were free. Haggled with me - "how about $20 cancellation fee instead of $50? Usually it's $100!" I refused and they kept transferring me to different people who barely spoke english. I think the goal was to frustrate me into giving up so they could keep my money.
Made me wait on hold for 5 hours, tossing me between "managers" and higher ups. Not worth the $20 savings, do yourself a favor and use any other travel agency. No online flow for cancelling or changing your flights.
There is no professionalism no empathy no sympathy shown! They are crooks! They canceled my booking And haven't processed my refund! It's been weeks that I've been waiting! I cannot get through to anyone and no one will contact me to make matters worse they had the nerve to recharge my card with all these fees! Every time I call or email no response and my calls are always disconnected or dropped! There will be a legal action taken against them and I highly advise no one to book with this company!
Only spend money with Cheapoair for situations where you'll never get what you pay for. And never buy insurance.
UPDATE: CheapOair asked that I revise my review because they refunded a $70 charge. While they did refund the $70, that charge was made so that I can receive a $182 credit for a flight that was cancelled by the airline. Had I just booked through the airline, the airline would have just issued the credit or refund without an additional charge. CheapOair was happy to refund me $70 because it meant they could keep the cost of my cancelled flight. My original review still stands.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. I booked a flight with CheapOair with a gift card as well as paying with my credit card. When the coronavirus outbreak happened, I attempted to get a refund, or at least keep the value of my flight. Well, the $100 gift card I got from my dad is completely gone now. They say that it can only be used once and CAN'T be returned (not even if a flight is cancelled)! My flight is cancelled and that money is just gone. This company does all it can to squeeze every dollar out of consumers' pockets. They charged my credit card the $35 cancellation fee, even though I NEVER got to speak with an agent to finalise my cancellation, even though they sent an e-mail clearly stating that I need to CALL to finalise it. Right now, their call entre is closed down, as is their online chat (I'm not sure how THAT is closed... can't their employees work from home?). There is no way to contact them, other than e-mail, and even that will take at least a week or two to get a response. I am highly disappointed and upset with how CheapOair is handling the coronavirus outbreak and all the cancellations and changes that need to be made. I NEVER in my life would even think to use CheapOair; the only reason I used it was that my dad got me a gift card for them. But in the end, they basically stole back the gift card and then squeezed even more money out of my pockets without my consent. The website is horrible; it keeps redirecting you back and forth to all sorts of pages that are utterly useless. At this point, I don't even know what happened to the value of my ticket. I am not sure if I'll ever see that money again.
TL; DR: They scammed me. They robbed me. CheapOair is a crooked company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Use more reputable travel agents sites, or better yet, the BEST option is to book everything yourself through the *actual* airline/hotel/car rental service/etc. Site.
I had to call Cheapoair multiple times to refund my money since the airline (Royal Jordanian) cancelled all flights because of Coronavirus Pandemic. Anytime an airline canceled a flight they must refund the money to the customer but I spent hours and hours being on hold frustrated with no decent resolution. If I'm lucky I will get a future credit but they force me to use the same Airline which sucks. They take your money fast and be careful they keep your card information on their server, that makes me very worried.
I would never use Cheapoair again
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
