It is extremely difficult to talk to someone. Customer service is sooooooooooooooo busy! Airline modified my trip and I do not have seats anymore. Previously I had the seats. I am trying to call and talk to someone, they keep transferring me from one department to another and keeping me on the phone for 2 hrs. Please, help.
Booking with CheapOair has been the most horrendous third-party booking experience I've ever encountered in my life. So bad in fact that I am writing this review as a genuine caution to anyone who chooses to do business with them. The agents do not care about your safety or if you have not seen your family for 2 years because of the pandemic. In 2021 December when the Omnicron case broke out I cancelled my ticket weeks in advance and they held my funds as "credit". To cancel and get my credit, because of travel concerns raised by the US government over traveling to South Africa, they went ahead and charged me a cancelation fee. Now, in February planning for Spring break (I'm a student) they are charging me $133.60 for a flight that costs $25 than my original ticket. I protested this and the agent essentially told me "pay this for or don't go home, prices are only going to be coming more expensive". Any way that is the last money CheapOair will ever get out of me. I hope they enjoyed extracting an extra $200 or so from a college student who hasn't seen his family in 2 years.

I was surprised after booking my flight with in 3 min i received a call from what sounded like a scam to have me purchase some extra things for my flight. The person calling spoke very broken english... I am hopeing all my billing information is secure going thru this sight. Easy to use

This is a work in progress. Air travel is an infrequent experience, and I need guidelines as to when my tickets will arrive and the procedures following that step.
As an infrequent flier, I would prefer greater assistance in making a seat selection.
Price of the flight was not made clear in my discussion with employees. Only references to "an additional charge" was made. No total until I printed the Booking Confirmation.
Customer Service was prompt at contacting me to confirm my trip and details.

Flight prices were indeed a savings. However, the rental company wouldn't accept me at age 75. Now we get to see if the flight is a "you get what you pay for" deal.

I am being on hold for 2 hrs with no hope to have my issue addressed. So far I've been connected with two travel agents who just passed me over. Not to mention they barely speak English. All I need is to do modifications to my existing booking, not super difficult or unusual. Their chat is the same poor quality. After waiting for an hour I found out my chat just disappearing. This is my last time dealing with CheapOair. This business is a scam. Better book directly from the service provider.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
