My flight times changed, I never received a notification from CheapOAir. I traveled with my sister and cousin, at first the airline company wanted to refund us until they realized we did not book directly with the airline, so they suggested we contact our travel agency. CheapOAir dodged our calls, and came up with the most ridiculous excuses of what happened. They concluded that my cousin there was an error and they forgot to send the notification of the flight changes, but for me and my sister they said we were no-shows. We booked the same tickets to the same locations because we were travelling together. My cousin got refunded for her return ticket because of their error but will not refund my sister and I. Matter of fact, I booked our tickets so why are there so many different excuses. I tried my best to deal directly with them for 6 months, this has been a nightmare and now I will have to resort to contacting the USDOT.
It has been great so far! I had no problems when I booked with Chep Oair before, that's why i would recommend it to any friend.
Masss confusion poor customer service, this just the start, I call and would get they don't show anything to only call back again to ask for an updated flight details for the 3 times my flight has changed, I would say 50/50 weather you get someone with some sense or not, now post my reply

Do not use CheapOair or buy insurance from Tripmate. I purchased tickets to Boston to visit my niece and stay at their house, and her husband came down with Covid. I canceled my trip, and CheapOair and the insurance company said that was not a reason to cancel because I didn't have Covid.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
