I had purchase my flight from Germany to London with this company, paid for my flights and baggage, upon reaching to the airport I was informed I have to pay another $50.00 because my baggage was never booked. I've been going back and forth on email with CheapOair and they are refusing to refund me for this purchase when I had already made the booking prior to my trip. At least someone should have informed me that my baggage will not be covered, I spoke with them multiple time in regards to my luggage because I was traveling with my infant but no one informed me.
Hello, this was addressed with you July 13 when you sent us an email over a month after your traveled, we did advise you that the $30.00 not $50.00 for the bag you tried to book in our website never was confirmed therefore never charged by us. However, we did refund you$15.00 as goodwill gesture due to the inconvenience.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
