This makes me laugh. A golden review first thing, and then 1 star reviews after that. The second time I've deposited a large check with the bank, they tell me calmly that it will be available in a week and a half. I tell them, I cant wait that long. They say, Sorry! I've mentioned twice that I'm just going to close my account and go somewhere else. They don't budge. OKAY, have a nice day! But it's not a bluff. The first two times I called, the call was routed to India. (1st call) the girl told me that the money wasn't there (Lie. #1). I called back immediately after to see what the next person said. He said the check was returned, and added, if you believe that was an error, you can call on the 29th to see if it's available (lie #2). The 29th happens to be the date when it's supposed to be available. In other words. We wont help you. Wait until the 29th. Then i speak to two others who assure me that the check was not returned, the 3rd telling me that it was processed but Chase put the waiting time on it and he wasnt able to be lifted (lie #3). I know that was a lie, because just moths before I essentially had the same issue, and the guy lifted the hold and it was available the next day. Chase - where you have to chase your money, making it impossible for you to own your own money. These people are a joke and will lie to your face! - Also, ive never had the issues that Ive been having over deposits. But ive researched banks. Chase is listed as one of the worst.

So i signed up a week ago with the quick accept for my business which is a weekend thing thinking if i cut off a 3rd party and go direct with my bank would be better, now its thursday and i am getting a run around for my deposit from last saturday and sunday my first time using this which is not Chump change its been almost a whole week and i havent even gotten a straight answer or my money, stay away from this system its a rip off, i hope i get my money soon and i would never recommend this to anyone

I have 9 accounts with Chase and I am a Veteran that does a lot of business with this institution. They charge $5 fee if you have too many transfers from 1 account to another and would rather lose all of my business than to refund the fee. Blown away.

I had to make an appointment to open an account, had to wait about 20 minutes, and then I was rushed out without completing a transaction and I had to make another appointment to open the personal account. I had to reschedule and when I arrived to the bank the representative was off. I was approached by another representative that was helping a customer who assured me someone will help me. What us the benefit of making an appointment when the system doesn't tell you the person the representative will not be there, you have to wait to be helped anyway, and you will not be able to complete the transaction because somebody else is waiting. This never happened to me before having to make appointments.

I am closing my account and finding an attorney. They let a hotel take my hold fee & not return it. Even the branch escalations said my money was never returned, but the phone representatives(who are rude) didn't try. This is the 2nd time in 2 years that this has happened. The first year after fighting them to escalate the situation they eventually saw that money wasn't returned AFTER my account closed which they ended up clearing and cutting me a check for $250 in fees charged. This time they absolutely refused to search so here I am out of almost $2000 because they're idiots! I believe they don't have the money for the bonds to pay, and are allowing their customers to suffer!

Called customer service and they were rude and condescending...I have a mortgage with them and 2 credit cards and they were horrible to deal with! I will go back to discover card usage since their customer service was always helpful and respectful.

Usually take multiple calls to get anything done. Language barrier is probably the biggest issue, followed by unknowledgeable service representatives. Lying and repeating the same company line is not considered a resolution...I guess just hanging up is their idea of satisfaction

First it is impossible to get a straight answer out of anyone. I deposited part of a check made out to cash - CASH - both parties have accounts with the same branch - yet they saw fit to HOLD a part of the check and not make the CASH immediately available. Extremely frustrating.

Absolutely the worst customer service. They are nasty and completely disinterested in your issue. As long as you keep your banking automated - the site works. The service doesn't.

Very satisfied

I had the pleasure of reopening my account after I was exonerated for a crime I did not commit and was incarcerated for 7 months.
The assistance I received on the phone today was exceptional. I could not help but share my story as I had no other explanation for why my account had no deposits on it and only recurring charges for over 7 months.
I am getting my life back on track and Chase assisted me in doing so. To new beginnings, and banking again with old friends. Happy to be in good standing again with my financial institution of 15 years.

I waited a year to receive a bond check from a city where I re-built a house. I deposited that check into my personal checking a count, signed cost in my company name, second with my personal name. The bank tells me they had to withdraw it & overnight the check back to me to be re-deposited into my business account. I can sign a check and legally sign that check over to anyone, to I asked what? That is crazy! I deposited it AT night, and it is now Weds, overnighted? The money originally came from my personal checking account to put on that house, how can Chase dictates where my money gets deposited? Meanwhile, bills are electronically pulled, while I wait for the check in snail mail. No phone call to cutomer, would not re-deposit over the phone, but banks will take deposits with a picture of a check, although this check is in their hands. Absolutely makes no sense.

Not worth the hassle

We've had our account for several yrs and one time my husband was trying to deposit money into my account They told him he could t use cash to get a money order then they put a seven day hold on the money order now we were told 9 days on a two party check which is ridiculous it should only take a day I asked to talk to the branch manager and got a rude sarcastic $#*! that was talking over me would t hear what I was saying This. Bank is absolutely the worst In customer service and horrible about doing banking in a timely manner

Misleading! Negative star

Completely misrepresenting ads and promos. Open a savings account with the $700 promo and NEVER received a dime. In addition, after complaining to BBB because their escalation department did not contact me... they told me they WOULD not do anything for me! Great customer service EVER...

Chase long story, but believe it or not they withdrew my money, for ver a month, every time called they say another 7-10 days, they took the money with a lie, if you want to keep your money safe and be able to use your money do not put it in chase bank for your own sake.

I have been with Chase for almost 12 years. To set up a savings account they made me make an appointment. I called ahead of time for a notary they told me I had to go for another bank. When I told him I was closing my bank account down they acted like they didn't care. So I urge all my veterans not to bank here..

Worst bank ever

Someone hacked into my account took over 1k for me. When called the bank they said they won't give reimburse me the money. This bank is a joke.

So they say they have around the clock customer service. Which is only sort of true. They have a call center in the Phillipines that answers the phone and can ONLY send you a new card. If you need an approval for a purchase, identity theft issues, account questions, they route you to the states and they're only open from 7-10. So if you're traveling and something happens, you're screwed. If they didn't partner with my hotel rewards, I'd never use them again.

This is not a bank.

I logged in a few days ago. My password was rejected. I asked for a new one. Needed to answer questions online: What is the first name of your grandmother? I happen to have two of them. But apparently I didn't know any of them. So I had to call the bank. After identification I can change my password. I try, it works! Today I log in, I get a call for a log-in number. I fill out the info for a Zelle payment. After having to receive two more phone call numbers for identification I submit. The payment gets rejected because of suspicious activity and my account is blocked. I call the bank and I have to go through 20 minutes of multiple choice and other questions and my account is unblocked. I log into the bank. I get called so I can get the login number. I put in the info again and get called twice before I can resubmit my payment again. The payment is under review and then rejected because of suspicious activity.

Closing my account
February 13, 2023

I've been with Chase since before they were Chase. Today I stopped by my local bank to open another account and deposit a large check.

The empty bank said they didn't want to do it. Said it takes an hour and I need to do it online.

I left that branch and went to another empty branch only to hear the same.

Nobody was doing anything accept talking to each other.

I'm putting all of our money into Navy Federal and shutting my account down ONLINE
