Their rates on savings are super low and they are extremely slow to replace hacked debit cards. When you call customer service they transfer you all over the place, and that is if they understand you since most of the people don't speak English.
This is the first time I will be leaving a negative review for any company ever and after my experience with this bank's credit card department, I can confidentially say it's the worst bank in the world! I wouldn't even recommend them to my enemies! If there's a rating below 0, it's what they honestly deserve!
I deposited a CASHIERS CHECK FROM ELEMENTS CREDIT UNION FOR $3990.00 OBVIOUSLY IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE IT WAS A GUARANTEED CHECK. THEY SENT MY CAR AND HOUSE INSURANCE PAYMENT BACK AND PAID THE PURCHASES FROM AMAZON. BUT IT SHOWED THEY HAD TAKEN IT FROM MY BALANCE SO I WAS NOT AWARE UNTIL THEY CANCELED MY INSURANCE. I GOT NO WARNING AND NO NOTICE THEY DID THIS OUT OF MEANNESS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THEY KNEW THE CHECK WAS GOOD AND IT WAS DEPOSITED ON DEC 28 2022 AND THEY HELD IT UNTIL THE 9th I AM SO SICK OF THEM. THEY CHARGE FEES FOR CHARGES BUT ITS AGAINST THE POOR BECAUSE THE RICH DONT BOUNCE DEBITS SO THEY STEAL MILLIONS FROM THE POOR AND U CANT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT A BANK ACCOUNT BECAUSE WE HAVE ALMOST A CASHLESS SOCIETY. THIS IS DESCRIMINATION AGAINST THE LOW INCOME CITIZENS.
THERE SHOULD NOT EVEN BE SUCH A THING AS LOW INCOME. THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS ITS TOO LOW TO SUBIVE AND YET THEY WONT MAKE EMPLOYERS PAY US MORE. THEY SEND ALL THAT MONEY TO HELP OTHER COUNTRIES AND LET THEIR OWN PEOPLE SUFFER. RIDICULOUS!

My father passed away 5 weeks ago and had a teeny account with Chase. I went into my local branch to collect along with an original death certificate.
They directed me to another branch. I went to that branch today with the death certificate, my SS card, a piece of mail, my Medicare card, high school ID, college ID and health insurance card.
They would accept none of those. They will only take a passport or non drivers license.
As I walked out I made it clear that my father had accounts in far greater sums, and all I had to do was mail in a death certificate and the accounts were transferred to my name.
I would never do business with this bank ever again. I am working far far too hard just to collect a paltry $ 333.

I reported fraud on my checking account and was accused of fraud myself! The local branch manager then implied I was incapable of understanding the conversation he was having with my husband. I have never been so disrespected by any institution.
The wait times and ease of connecting to a representative that can help you are ridiculous. I am appalled.
After banking fir 26 years my account was hacked $6500 … After secure messaging back and forth they denied my claim to get my money back… do not use chase bank
Everytime I look on my account there is a new over drawn charge or money taken that should not be. They have reversed claims that I am certain I put into my account yet they didn't account for. I fkn hate this bank changing banks the first opportunity I get.
I went to Chase Bank in Bay Shore, NY to open an account. When I ask who do I speak to about opening an account, they told me that I needed to have an appointment and they weren't able to help me. Really? From there I went to the Chase bank in West Islip NY and it was completely empty, so I again went to one of the three tellers doing nothing and asked to open an account. Again she asked if I had an appointment and they could not help me without an appointment. This surprised me because the bank was completely empty, she told me to go to a Chase bank in Babylon. That's when I realized they are not where I want to put my money! This bank is paying tellers to do nothing and yet they can't open a simply account? I guess Chase will be the next bank going out of business because they definitely do not want new business!
I have 2 bad experience with them and this will be last one! I've been there on time by appointment, but the manager said something wrong with system! Even they not trying help me! So from today i choose any banks except Chase financial office( it's not bank)
Chase closed my account and left me with no money. I was told that I cannot take out my money. I will get my money iafter 10 business days through regular mail

I have waited 3 weeks for a replacement debit card and have yet to receive a response from them regarding any of the emails I have sent or any news on where they might be in transit or if they have even sent one. And and there needs to be a way to go to a bank and get a replacement card instead of having to go through the website or by phone.
I followed all requirements to get an open account bonus and they did not put iy in my account. Its gone to 3 escalation departments and noone calls me back for 3 months nor responds to email. Just because I made 2 transactions on my Gpay that they told me to do because it took forever for my new card to come through, I could not buy food while out of town with my daughter for Christmas Eve nor could I get gas to get home! I even called them twice and let them know I was out of town and exactly where. No CS reps would answer phone until 12/26/2022. They could have emailed me or texted me to see if it was my transaction. I tried to go to 2 Chase Atms to tap my Gpay to no avail! This is a terrible company. Go anywhere but here!
I had deposited $60,000 into savings. I knew it would take awhile to clear the check. I did not need that money any time soon. Then because I made a deposit, Chase decided to freeze ALL of my checking and existing savings for one week without telling me. I could not even access my auto deposit pay check. Customer service said until that $60,000 clears, I will not be able to touch any of my money. What the F…%#?!*. Sorry for depositing a big check, now you r punishing me?I have been with them over 10 years, local branch and foreign country people customer service#%^*!?, Chase seems to want u as a customer
Tl;dr I'm keeping my credit card just to avoid a credit hit and will cancel my checking and savings AS SOON AS THEY'RE OPEN.
Chase Credit Cards: Use of the card is great. No issues with them blocking legitimate transactions. Chase Website for Booking travel on is garbage. When you can get it to work, it's a site where you have to book very much in advance. If you're booking hotels for anything within 30 days, you'll end up regretting your choice of getting Chase for a travel card.
$50 hotel credit every cycle but must be purchased through chase ultimate rewards AND then you don't even get your points for that hotel purchase. It's great that they give you an entire cycle to use, but still incredibly hard to use due to their site. And even if you manage to, they have that dumb stipulation so you're forced to make 2 reservations. One for one night to get the credit, and then another for the rest of the time or you just threw away your 5X points.
Very specific bonus points and bonuses e.g. 3X points on online grocery orders... like what? And what was it, instacart membership I think? Okay, not helpful either.
Checking Accounts: $200 bonus is nice. And that's where the positives end. Funds availability policy says one thing. But in my experience bank to bank transfers take about a week to occur. That's entirely too long and very frustrating.
Any questions you ask will be met with very generalized answers that aren't helpful and I've needed to contact them 3 times on average to have a single question answered to my dissatisfaction.
This is by far the most difficult and disgusting bank their is. In my whole year of having this account open for going to direct deposit. To where now I work private care as a caregiver. So far two of my checks have been "flagged" one of those where from a multiply billion company called ever green. My second check now "flagged" is from my clients that are 93 years old and suffering dementia. There son is their POA which provides us our weekly pay checks. They said it's flagged because they can't talk to two 93 year old demintia people. But won't even talk to their POA who has all the proof he needs. Literally absolutely disgusting. Hope this company fails as now I get to struggle longer and figure out how to feed four kids and tell them why they won't get not even one present this year due to this crappy bank.
ZERO STARTS. WILL NOT EVER USE THIS BANK. They are so disorganized and their departments don't communicate. They wasted my time and money with their incompetence. I paid off my account. Without notifying me or showing up on my account, customer service said my account isn't paid off due to $1. I paid the $1 over the phone. Then, they send me a check for $1. I deposit the check and my bank charges me $12 for an insufficient funds fee. I call chase and they said they put a stop payment on the check that they sent by accident. Now I need to waste more time dealing with these idiots to get another check due to their incompetence. What a bunch of fools.

Chase ain't crap chase charge you if you travel overseas to use your bank card. Region does not charge you just click the button let them know it's you using your card chase is money hungry from their own customers.

Answer: Because they can and they don't care. The customer service outside of the branch is non-existent. They truly don't care about anything other than the amount of money they can collect from the interest they can collect from our money.
