After 20 and plus years off banking whit them today I decide to close all my account! This MANAGER "Christina" she keep me on hold for more than 15 minutes whit out care about my charge problem!
Think twice before getting an account at chase if you're planning on changing your name later on. This bank has made the process extremely difficult. I was told over the phone that I needed to walk in to chase bank to change my name. The closest bank was an hour away but they gave me no choice. I go to the bank and they tell me they can't help me. I have to submit the form online or by mail. And then the online form gets rejected because you have to print it out and sign it instead of digitally signing it. What a joke. I had my name changed at my other banks within two days. It's been more than a month with chase.
I contacted Chase today because I made a $84.35 international purchase and could not get in touch with the merchant and had not received the merchandise which is a Christmas gift. I tried making a dispute online, but Chase required me to call in. And the representative on the phone could not take my dispute until I could describe each and every item ordered and the sizes they were ordered it. It took about 23-25 minutes on the call, which I have never had a company that made me jump through hoops unless there was a contradictory response from the company. Chase seemed more concerned that I wanted them to reimburse me $84.35, rather than the possibility that this was a fraudulent company who took my money with no intention of providing the item. I always thought Chase was more fraud conscious, but that was not the case with me. And I think it is laughable and downright stupid that you can't make a dispute if you don't have the sizes. My niece ordered the items and I gave her my card. I had to call her during the call with Chase so that she could tell me this. Needless to say, MY CHASE CARD WILL NOT BE GETTING MUCH USE. So I am not expecting much assistance in Chase helping me.
When talk to management or call customer service you get the runaround and they tell you it's your fault that you're not getting it your money I am closing my account because I'm tired of it I want a bank that gives me my money when I put it in and will let me pull more than $100 out of the ATM at any time
They have no reasoning behind holding a 3k check for weeks, but will approve a 13k check in a day. They are the worst bank i have ever dealt with. No people in bank but you have to make appointments to handle business. Give me a break. They contradict each other between branch and main cs. No wonder they owe fines over 200 million. WE have to pay it for them… bad business!
Whenever you get a new phone, Chase does not allow you to sign in with your old username and password onto your new phone. You have to go in person for them to reset it. Which is a huge inconvenience for someone that works the entire week and Chase isnt open on the inside on the weekends, which is dumb.
Chase has been horrendous for our small business/nonprofit. We recieved a donation that they flagged, and therefore froze all our accounts. When asked how we could unfreeze the accounts, they said they needed a bank verification for the check which we provided. They told us it would be unfrozen, but it was not. Then, they said we needed a phone number for the donors to verify the maker of the check. When that was provided they would not accept the phone number as valid, because they said Chase bank doesn't recognize that number as valid. They said the only way we could get unfrozen was for the donor to visit a branch and bring two forms of identification. We then panicked and had the donor come into the branch, show two forms of identification, and they said we would no longer be frozen. Then we called back, we were denied the request to be unfrozen because they said they needed business documents instead of two forms of identification. Our bank account now may close because of Chase's INSANE policies that continually change, all because we received a donation.
They canceled my account without a reason, and cost me time and money. Don't bank there. There rude over the phone, and don't have people ho speak English very good.
Got bounced from one dept to another but nobody was able to give a straight answer. Even went to the branch & nothing got resolved.
Would give zero star if I could
I've been banking with Chase since last year! I love Chase Bank and the Customer Service is always on point! Please keep up the GREAT WORK AND PROFESSIONALISM! I wouldn't switch from Chase bank for all the money in the world! They really take care of there customers! Kudos to the local staff and customer service representatives!
Had checking acct with chase they cashed check that came back fraud manager talked to guy on phone they cleared check went to gas station used my debit for gas it was declined I went there they said I'm in negative took all my money for 2 months disabled my husband had stroke can't work know for 3 years made police report they said fraud chase wont give me my money didn't care awful
I have two cards and a checking account with Chase. The checking account is the first account I opened. I opened the Chase Freedom Unlimited card with them a few months ago. Making my first purchase on the card and my card freezes. I needed to call and be forwarded multiple times until I could get my card unlocked to use. Fast forward a few months later and it happens again. A ton of available credit, and a ton of money with them and it declines. No phone call, text, or email to ask if I'm the one making the purchase. Now I just have to assume when I want to use the card, it will freeze unless I call and go through multiple transfers to remove the freeze. Long story short, do not go with Chase. After 16 years with them, they have ALWAYS been subpar.
I opened a Chase checking account last week with the foolish idea that I could deposit some checks I had and then use them to pay a Chase credit card bill. I opened the account online, then deposited five checks. To this day I still don't know how this triggered a fraud alert. Nobody at Chase can give me a consistent response. The account is new. You deposited multiple checks. You opened the account online. Something is scratched out on one check. Another looks like a third party check (It's not.)
The account is now restricted and they are trying to get ME to help them verify the checks. Its not enough that all the checks are good. The have to speak to the issuer of each check. In the meantime, my credit card bill is due in two days and they are now almost guaranteed to collect interest, if not a late fee, because they won't even release the money from the one check they've managed to verify in FOUR DAYS since I finally called them to try to figure what's wrong. I finally asked them to just cancel the deposits and let me put them in another bank. They can't do that. Just tell me what I did wrong! The last person I spoke to hung up on me. Never again will I deal with Chase Bank.
For those of you that use chase bank direct deposit for your soc. Sec. Disability or retirement benefits or receive a pension for military service be warned that they can place a hold on your benefits without a death certificate, hold order from soc. Sec. Or court order and that any hold saying you are deceased will void any chase bank cards attached to your acct, instantly and will have to reissue card and later pin # which in my case took 19 days without card for atm or merchant purchases. I can no longer trust chase bank with my finances after many years. If it can happen to me it can happen to you. Closing acct. And happy to report i'm still alive and kickin. Sincerely D.B. Worst bunch of thieves on Earth backed by corporate thieves. They restrict your account when they decide there is an identity problem. They WILL NOT NOTIFY YOU BEFORE THEY LOCK YOU OUT AND THEN THEY ARE ALL TRAINED TO LIE ABOUT HOW TO FIX IT. Left my son with NO FOOD/ NO GAS/ AND STRANDED OUT IN DANGEROUS WEATHER DURING A WINTER STORM and didn't care refuse to try to help him or even offer him a cheap hotel to keep him safe from inclement weather. Filed a complaint with CORPORATE REP SAMPSON. We were told repeatedly go to a branch the next morning with 2 forms of ID and open account. It would be resolved. Go to the branch ON 122ND AND MAY OKC OK this morning and MORE LIES. Oh I have to call corporate. Oh you will have to see one of our bankers but there isn't one available at this branch today. Call other branches and they refuse because you need an appointment. THESE MONSTERS ARE THE ONES THAT LOCKED THE ACCOUNT AND NOW ARE REFUSING TO JUST GIVE MY SON HIS PAYCHECK THAT HE WORKED HIS BUTT OFF ALL WEEK FOR. HE HAS NO FOOD WHAT SO EVER. NO GAS TO GET ANYWHERE. NO FAMILY LEFT TO BORROW FROM. I'm helping him the best I can but my money is too limited right now for these corporate monsters to robbed my child this way. DONT USE THEM SO YOU NEVER HAVE TO WATCH YOUR CHILD SUFFER THIS WAY AND HEAR THE LIES AND GENERIC TRAINED UNFEELING APOLOGIES! I HATE CHASE BANKS. They deserves less than 0 stars.
Worst bank ever. ATM's rarely work and the employees don't care. ONE teller line open. Meanwhile there are 5-6 people in suits sitting near desks laughing it up. When I asked them why they didn't help the customers they said ''We're not tellers, we're bankers.'' Tells you all you need to know about this bank. LOTS of help starting a new account, but after that you stand in line forever for your banking business.
Branch Manager, old lady with blonde hair, is something that rhymes with Witch. She could care less if people stand in line for days. All she does is the Business lane of the drive-thru and it's never busy.
Stay away. There's good reason this branch gets 2 stars. They treat their customers like garbage.
My new bank is exceptional. Lots of tellers and happy Branch Managers who are happy to help you. Witch broad could learn a lesson from them.
I believe this branch will close soon. Not soon enough.
Also be aware they can close your account and keep YOUR money. Don't bother calling, customer service is a joke. All they do is transfer you 3-5 times and the end result is either a lie or they can't help you. I filed with BBB to get MY money. They close my account and the money is no longer theirs. They think they're above it all and the estimate now to get MY money is 3-4 weeks. SO glad I'm away from this bank and it's Nazi Branch Manager.
I have been banking with Chase for almost 20 years. I have a very bad experience with Chase bank today. Chase restricted my account and steal my money unreasonable. I have to spend a day to prove the check I deposited into my Chase account was not fraudulent check. The check was a PNC bank check and has been paid by PNC bank! Chase has no reason to suspect the check is fraudulent! The check was already cashed and honored by PNC 10 days ago. I have to take the business owner to Chase bank to prove the check is not fraudulent! Chase bank abuse their power to their own customers, they have no right to do this to their loyal customers! This is very bad! This may involve some sort of discrimination to certain group of people. I need report and investigate this matter.
My father passed away and I was left with his assets.I decided to sale a rare collectable piece and found a buyer.he sent $ 8000.00 to my account and the bank officer asked me with a rude attatude.what is the $8000.00 for.so in turn I told her it is not her business...
The next day I decided to move money to my credit union Bank account...I found that chase locked my acct.
They refuse to give me my money until I bring them some kind documentation of the sale.and that the money is intended to be for me...so we when did the bank have the right to steal my money.cuz that is basically what they are trying to do here...and when is is there business who sends me money and for what.
I requested my money sever times and they have refused to unlock my a cc count
I was told they were going to move me in to this privet client account. Bad experience. And the investment account even worst.
They are slow to check on fraudulent charge, and cancel ur card immediately after. All day Tomorrow I be in phone
Answer: Offered as a finance for auto loan... I am seriously thinking of changing banks..
Answer: Because they can and they don't care. The customer service outside of the branch is non-existent. They truly don't care about anything other than the amount of money they can collect from the interest they can collect from our money.
