Order a product online for my home office during lockdown. Paid for 2-3 day shipping... it has been 2 months and now they are telling me expected delivery is still in another month. Requested a manager to call me. Still waiting. This is not a way to treat a paying customer. If it wasn't in stock, give me an accurate timeline of when I could expect the product. No apologies given either. Horrible customer serivce.

"I will never do business with this company again. I was in need of two monitors and in a hurry. They website said next day delivery. So I thought sure why not! 3 days later I still have no updates Text, called, emailed nothing! FU!"

Do not shop here

It took multiple phone calls to get the billing and shipping address correct. After three days I still could not get an order status from their website. Yet another phone all, hold and three transfers, I'm told they use a third party to determine if my American Express Card is good. They determined it was not but never bothered to contact me. It turns out nothing wrong with my card - I ordered from Amazon and it is on it's way. Customer Service is terrible, website does not work well. I have a customer waiting on this device and I just lost 3 days. Stay clear of CDW.

I ordered a Cisco RV340 Router on 9-9-2019 from CDW and was told it was back-ordered and I would have to wait a month, so I cancelled the order, they shipped it three days after I was told it would take a month and the thought the order cancelled. They then told me to refuse the delivery, where the delivery company leaves it at the door. What? So now I have been trying to send it back for over a month and they said now have to wait another 3-5 day to get return shipping labels.

I ordered a laptop. My bank denied the charge due to it looking fraudulent. I immediately authorized the charge. No one at CDW notified me that the card had been declined. I was expecting the delivery today. I logged on to CDW only to find that nothing had shipped. I called customer (lack of) service they indicated that the card had been declined but had no explanation as to why no one contacted me nor reran the card. The rep reran the card and said it had been denied again. I contacted the bank and they said the charge had been approved. (what is going on!) The rep now said he saw it was approved but offered no improved shipping method to offset their lack of communication. I decided to check the order status and now see the item is back ordered. Not sure why the rep couldn't tell me that. I called again to cancel the order. I checked my bank account and they have now charged me for the item twice! WTF people!

Wonderful product and service. 3 days later, the CEO called me to make sure I was happy with the service and order. She said she makes calls randomly to ensure that all customers are happy. As a response to that, I bought another item and again, great service!

Liars - Scammers

On 11/28/2017 we ordered licensing for a 3 year product. After a little over a year (Approx January 2019) the licensing stopped working. I have been asking for a refund or a fix to our problem since March 2019. They have continued to procrastinate the issue and have resulted to just flat out ignoring it. Not only has this cost us $3,942.72 we are losing money and productivity by not having access to these licenses, and further we have to pay other IT people to try and resolve this issue. It is an embarrassment how horribly they have handled this situation. Never do business with this company, unless you want to waste a god awful amount of time speaking to their useless team.

PURCHASED 2 PRINTERS, FIRST ONE RETURNED, TERRIBLE SALESMAN, PRINTER NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR ME. PURCHASED ANOTHER, AN UPGRADE, FROM A SALESMAN, TOM WHITELOCK, AN OLDER MAN, MORE EXPERIENCED SALESMAN, BY THAT I MEAN MORE EXPERIENCED AT SCAMMING CUSTOMERS. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION I WAS PURCHASING A NEW PRINTER AND LATER REALIZED IT WAS USED, THIS TOM WHITELOCK CHARGED ME THE FULL PRICE AS IF IT WERE A NEW PRINTER. WANTED TO RETURN THAT ALSO, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORST EVER TECH SUPPORT. AWORD OF CAUTION DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CDW. TYPICAL SCENARIO, HOW TO F- THE CUSTOMER.

CDW is a terrible company and provides no added value in the modern age of technology purchasing. Before the big market places existed for tech hardware - Amazon, Newegg, etc. CDW added value as a one-stop shop for purchasing. But they're no longer relevant and the only thing they do is charge more and add headache. I know they've entered the service market and I have less experience with that side of their business, but the limited experience I have had, has also been bad.

I've worked for three organizations where CDW had a presence from before I arrived. They get their tentacles in with vendor agreements and contracts that make it difficult to break away from them. I won't get in to the details of the multitude of negative experiences I've had with them, but it's been pretty much every time I've dealt with them. Ohh and customer service is awful.

CDW exists today because of inertia. That and there are still some old-timers in the industry stuck in their ways. They provide no value added.

We have tried twice to order ink cartridges from this company. The first order was canceled with no explanation. The second time we tried to order we received a phone call stating that we needed to prove the shipping address was under our company name. It is but they were requesting some sort of proof.The cartridge had already been charged to our credit card but they would not mail to our office. Never in my life have I ordered something and not been able to have it delivered where I want it delivered to. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Save yourself the hassle and order from another company.

I have made 2 purchases with CDW over the years and both times it has been a nightmare. It takes weeks, I repeat, weeks, to get your order.

The problem is that every web order must be approved by an account manager. If a account manager doesn't get to your order, it will just sit there for weeks in a holding queue.

No emails or no type of notifications are sent to you. I purchase a printer from them for business needs. I'm in a time crunch. Order placed on nov 2nd, it's now the 15th and the order still hasn't shipped yet. Call them. The reason why they are holding? They don't ship to a UPS box.

Ridiculous. I will never purchase from CDW for the rest of my life. I will tell all my friends and business aquaintances to avoid this company as if their life depended on it.

Back in July, we also purchased MacBooks, keyboards, docking stations, etc for work. It took 1 month for the MacBooks to arrive. The docking stations arrived in October.

Ordered software. No reply... then emailed got an email stating some errant was looking into it? Then as the third day passed (1-2) days delivery. Called them, behold. They could not get it or t was the wrong item. Called them we cannot get this but we can charge you TWICE the amount for another exactly the same. So... NEVER will we use this bunch f comedians again. Nor should you.

Not a bad company

I use to buy some items from them a long time ago as they have been around for quite some time. I know that one of my cousins buys all the computer/server related items for his business there & he swears by it.

I would in fact refer anyone here who has use for their inventory, but be sure to shop around like you should with any site. Unless you don't mind paying more, and not saying you will with these guys.

I give CDW 5 stars because I never had any issues with them.

An unnecessary hassle

EDIT: Thanks, Raul. My order was restarted and I got confirmation that my item shipped today. Great! Not-so-great, they don't provide any tracking numbers and to know more about my order other than 'it's shipped', I need to call a rep. Seriously? I'm buying a computer. It ain't exactly high security.________________

(As per what a rep told me; will get to that) Because I don't own the house I live in the system automatically cancelled my order, regardless of my card going through and all that information right. I didn't even get an email, I had to find out myself by checking the order status. When I tried to create an account and login, it kept telling me that my account was disabled and to call the service number.

I did call and after having my call dropped (or hung up on 3 times) I eventually talked to someone who restarted my order.
While everyone I spoke to was pleasant (and spoke English) the situation was completely asinine and I had never run into anything like this.

Now I have to make sure the charge for the cancelled order doesn't go through, or else I'll be double charged and double pissed.

I only used this site because the name-brand site that makes the item I wanted redirected me to it. The price was well lower than elsewhere, but after shipping ($15?) and taxes, it wasn't that much cheaper than the rest.

If you can avoid this site, do it.

Total disaster

Complete joke and very regrettable purchase. Contradictory emails, ambiguous delivery method and erroneously set up product. Instead of receiving license electronically for speedy use of software (as indicated) wound up waiting on a physical copy. Poor cancellation system and prohibitive return structure ensure you are locked in for the very poor ride. Seriously worth avoiding this distributor.

Bad company

Made an order of 2 programs for my server. On the next day decided to order one more program.
CDW. Com called me and asked me unacceptable questions, where do i live who is my landlord and why I made third order separately from other two. Like I understood it is an online store and I can order anything I want and when I want. They replied that credit manager will decide and follow up. Follow up on what. Did I applied for mortgage or credit from this people. Also this company is third party between real selling companies. At this time it was Semantic products that I purchased. Crazy company bad customer support and completely unacceptable policy. Canceled order and purchased directly from Semantic. Do not buy from them let them go bankrupt. With business they do that is no point to buy from third party.

I used to buy all of my IT equipment from dell from the client PCs to the server and switches. Dell then became way too expensive for what you get and their service became nonexistant. I tried out CDW and they have the other asian type of brands a much better prices and they have great support as well. I say if you are an old Dell customer to try them out and no I do not work for CDW, just wanted to give them a big thumbs up.
