Ladies! If you order from Catherine's don't. I place a order on September 30 for a swim set for Physical therapy then, was told it was on backorder until December 17th. So I had to find one else where. So I called daily to cancel each time was told it had not been processed in their system. So I couldn't cancel it yet. This morning the swim top was charged to my bank account. I called and talked to a supervisor who said she didn't know why they couldn't cancel before now. NO MORE CATHERINE'S FOR ME.
Since Catherines decided to close all it's stores, I have to buy off line. On August 18th I placed and order for under garments in the amount of 31.38. It was against my Catherines card. On the 21st of August they notified me that my order would be delayed. However, on September 1st they billed me for the garmets which have never shipped. I've left messages, I've tried to call, I've tried to get ahold of them, but their customer services is some third world country that speaks no english and they are telling me that they can't do anything about refunding my money (my card has been paid off since then) or ship my garments. Catherine's is impossible to do business with now!
I ordered 1 blouse, 1 package of underwear and 2 pair of jeans. I received my blouse and underwear in May, but the 2 pair of jeans were put on backorder. The amount for the blouse and underwear was deducted from my account including $25 dollars for shipping. Now I am being told that the system cancelled my order and I will not be getting my jeans because they do not have them. In spite of only receiving half of my order, I am still being charged the 25 dollars for shipping. I would have NEVER paid $25. For shipping for a blouse and underwear. This is ridiculous...
Couldn't get discount code to work but ordered anyway. Received an email two days later telling me that code was wrong. Here's correct code. I asked them to apply it to my order. Said can't do but you can send the order back and recorder using the code. Does this make any sense? Will look for other companies to spend my money!
I ordered 3 tops and a pair of capris. I received 1 top size medium and nothing else. No items ordered were received. Customer service is terrible and did not resolve the issue. They have my money but I don't have my order or a refund.
I purchased items on 8/21. I paid for express shipping. On 8/23 their site said shipped. Customer service
was unable to give me a tracking number. Finally on 9/2 there was a tracking number on the site. UPS however only said a label was created. This continued until 9/5 when I called customer service. No help at all. They were so rude I hung up. Now, 9/8 I still do not have the items. I will be filing a complaint with my credit card company.
It's a long and costly story. I ordered a dress from Catherine's in late June. Got a message that it would be delayed so I immediately requested that the order be cancelled. Instead they quickly sent me something totally different than what I ordered. I returned it on July 6th. And over 2 months later, Sept. 8th, I still have not received my refund. It's all Covid's fault, of course. I have a post office receipt for the return and copies of the correspondence, for all the good it will do I've since learned that they are in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and apparently are trying to solve their financial problems out of the pockets of their unwary customers. Don't be one of them.
I wish I could have given 0 stars. After being on hold for over an hour, Catherine's rep and supervisor both treated me like a liar, and talked to me like I was stupid. I placed 2 orders this week, and neither of the 2 codes went through. When I called to tell them about the glitch in their system, I was yelled at by the rep, and the supervisor said there was nothing she could do for me because according to her, "I forgot" to put the codes in. She also refused to let me cancel my orders. The only reason that I ordered from them to begin with, is because I got an apology email from them 2 weeks ago for them being so slow last year, and they told me they were sorry that I had to wait so long, (4 months). They asked me to give them another chance to make it all right... well I fell for it, and I am the one out of the $70 worth the codes, along with having to wait to see just how long it takes for me to get my merchandise. After I have been ordering from Catherine's for 10+ years, I know how to complete an order form. I don't recommend them to anyone anymore I am no longer going to order anything else from them... period!
I'm done with Catherine's. The shipping delays and quality of the clothing is just horrible. Its a shame because before the buy-out I loved Catherine's.
I ordered an item on 7/26/2021and received an email confirmation on 7/28/2021 that my item had shipped. I then started tracking the package. I was given a delivery date - it came/went, no item. It then told me I would be notified when it shipped, again. As of today, 8/20/2021, no item, it's "still in route" and I can't get a refund until it's not been delivered for 30 days. Getting a customer service person is impossible! I love their items, but the shipping and customer service isn't worth it. Will never give them by business again!
Ordered on 5/28/21, This company took 1 month to ship my order, finally received it on 6/22/21, then I returned the items and they received them on 7/16/21, and as of 8/10/21, I still have not received a refund or a reply from this company. This is the worst company ever, they go under like 10 different names. The will accept your return, but will never refund your money. This company will scam you out of your money. When you try to contact them, you will be on hold for hours and nothing ever gets solved. Do not waste your time, look elsewhere. I learned the hard way.
It took a long time for shipping to occur. I finally emailed (there didn't seem to be a number I could call) them and asked them to cancel the order and not to charge my credit card. Lo and behold, right after that email, I was informed by them that they were shipping my order. The event for which I ordered the clothing was over by the time I received the order, plus I wasn't very happy with the clothing, so I sent it back. Then I was informed via email that a restocking fee would be applied and that anything I bought on sale would not be refunded, but would be given to charity. It's wonderful to give to charity, but this is not the right way to do it. All this frustration, including the very high shipping cost, very slow shipping, terrible customer service, and the "refund" situation leaves me feeling rather deceived and taken advantage of. I will never order from this company again, and I'm hesitant to order from any company affiliated with them.
Placed an order on 7/13 for ONE item. It wasn't shipped until 7/22. The delivery date was 7/27. On 7/27 the delivery date changed to 7/29. On 7/29 the delivery date became 8/3. They will not cancel the order because "it has shipped" and I have to wait 30 days. I do not believe it has shipped and will never purchase from them again. I needed the item for 7/27 and will be returning it if ever it arrives.
I see Catherine's trying to come back from the pandemic. I ordered some swimsuits for my vacation but didn't arrive in time for my trip. A month. Catherines is O. K if you like something and are willing to wait for it. Don't order something if you need it for a specific date. I would order again if I really liked something and it comes a little later. I was happy with the items when they arrived. Also, you really have to know your size because sending it back will cost you money and I'm not about to do that. After all the horrible reviews, I give it some glimmer of hope. I give it C+.
No response to email sent to customer service AND when I called, I was on hold for 49 minutes before call was answered by a very bored sounding CSR. Instead of giving the credit for the discount I forgot to input, I was instructed to return items (items I haven't received yet) and then reorder. Wow. Won't shop here again.
I placed an online order on June 27 for a swimsuit cover up for my mother, In hopes that it would arrive on or before July 9. I checked my email and the item hasn't been shipped yet. I called to cancel the order and was told I CAN NOT cancel the order. I was told my only option is to wait to receive the item and then return it. Not only will I never order anything else from them, I'm asking them to make their delayed shipment policy VISIBLE AND CLEAR! DO NOT ORDER FROM CATHERINES IF YOU WANT YOUR ITEMS WITHIN A MONTH!
I have been a Catherine's customer since the 1980's, and I was very disappointed to call and be told they will not accept a return on a recently purchased shirt that is already coming apart at the seam after wearing it no more than 3 or 4 times and always washing it on the delicate cycle. I was told that is their written policy, and they will not accept the return or give me a refund. I told the representative they have lost an excellent customer because they are not standing behind the products they sell. I have quite a few other shirts of the same V-neck cut that I bought from Catherine's and have worn for several years, but I have never had this problem before. It appears the quality of their merchandise is not what it used to be. I hope sharing my experience with Catherine's will be helpful for others who are thinking of ordering from them.
After waiting five business days I try to call to see if they've shipped my order yet being as they charge you $9.99 to ship which is outrageously expensive because it's just regular shipping! When I called two different reps I spoke with told me my pmts didn't go thru. After calling my bank my bank tells me they just haven't taken the payment yet it went through all right as I knew it did. Feeling ripped off I filed a dispute with my bank then to find out later that day from another manager that they don't take the payment until they ship so I had to back the dispute out of my bank which was a big hassle then I simply asked since you charge me $9.99 for shipping which is outrageous when are you going to ship it they said they could take 7 to 14 days to ship it I said that's not what's your thing says and they really didn't care not one bit! I'm thinking if you're going to charge somebody $10 for regular shipping then you should ship it out right away because that's extremely expensive you could have it overnighted for that charge! This is the worst company I think I've ever dealt with and I would never advise anyone to purchase from them unless you have a long time to wait for your product which I hear there merchandise is cheaply made. At this point they don't know when they will ship it so I don't know if I will get my swimsuit before fall? I'm extremely disappointed
The clothing is miss sized. In what universe is an 18/20 considered a Large? I returned the clothing, but didn't receive a credit. I emailed the company 3 times asking where my credit was. No response. I called the company and was told I would receive a $46.00 refund to my bank account. I only received $20.40! I will NEVER buy anything from this company again!
Catherine's we once knew is no longer. It's such a shame and very disappointing. There is absolutely no customer service…no phone calls, emails take weeks to be answered (IF they ever do). Shipping is extortion…. 19.99 shipping for order that takes 4-6 WEEKS to receive if lucky…God forbid they make a mistake and send the wrong product! I ordered something back in March and STILL haven't resolved the issue.
I recommend disputing your charge with your credit card company if we can not get satisfaction through the company. That's the only way to get their attention.
Our local Sarasota store was excellent…EXCELLENT customer service, great product.
I will NEVER recommend this company again if it remains the way it currently is operated. Such a shame.
Answer: File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I had a problem with Catherine's overcharging me for shipping and couldn't get satisfaction. After I filed a claim with the BBB, I heard from Catherine's within 24 hours and they agreed to reimburse me..
