After reading the complete contract I discovered that CS covered only about 20 percent of any major breakdown leaving the other 80 percent to the 'insured'. That includes a substantial deductable. The 80 percent is mostly parts and pieces needed to fix the breakdown. There is a wide chasm of dishonesty in the Television ads and what the contract spells out.

When I call to see why it was taking so long the guy looked it up and told me to resubmit it and gave me step by step how to do it also the claim #.

Car Shield approved a new engine after my chain broke. I had always kept tyhe care well, oil changes, etc. But I was told I'd need to pay out of pocket expsenses beyong my$100 deductible. That would have made the entire epair $8000 dollars$ on a 23 year old car not worth that much. But to me it was life itself. Although everyone was friendly, it was very clears we patrons would always have to pay more. I would never recommend Car Shield and may even report you to the State Attorney General's office or local TV.

Upon further review, it appears there were parts not listed for coverage in your contract, along with any maintenance-related items. However, we did authorize $4,992.75 toward the repair. Any additional out-of-pocket costs were due to differences between the labor hours and diagnostic fees charged by the repair facility and what is recommended by a nationally recognized labor guide.

Called CarShield to see what needed to be done and was advised to take car to authorized dealer, have them call CarShield for approval of service. Bob Bell did what they were told and they called me to let me know that CarShield had authorized the repair of Emissions Rotary Arm and labor but not the maintance service that was needed with the repair. No one told me that I needed to wait for CarShield to call me and confirm their approval. Bob Bell completed the service which took another day leaving me without a car again. Called when repairs were done and I picked up car and had to pay entire bill. Received call from CarShield today from a very rude lady whp informed me that my repairs were not authorized and I would get no refund. I expected to have to pay for my deductible plus the service not covered but did expect CarShield to at least cover what they authorized! First time using this coverage AND I AM NOT PLEASED! You took my premiums but did nothing for me. Plrase tell me why I should not cancel this contract! Please look into and advice asap! Thank you

I took my truck in for a routine oil change. I was told there is a possible oil leak and should schedule an appointment for diagnosis to determine if there is an oil leak and what action is needed. I called and asked what to do about a claim if an oil leak on my truck is found. Diagnosis and claim are pending.

My truck broke down I was told was covered from bomber to bomber but when truck put in shop it was not covered they paid nothing. I now know what people was saying is true about car shield. Been with this company too long for nothing just money gone took.
