I've taking my truck in for repairs to 3 different shops. Only one accepts american car shield. When you did assist me on the payments, it was very minimal.

Had no issues with getting the service I needed. It didn't take long to resolve the issue

I would not recognize CarShield to anyone. It would have been better if I did not even have car shield, because I have to pay for my repair by myself. Call, she did not want to pay all car rental fee. Also, I had a coolant problem and car shield did not cover it, I had to pay for my old cooling repair out of pocket. Please do not use CarShield. You will regret it.

Check your records before sending out dunn letters that I owe you money. I applied for membership last month, and you sent me a letter stateing that I owe your company money, I called your company to find out why you sent me this dunn notice, I asked the person that I was talking to, if they would check my payment information and to verify if I owe you a payment or not. The person checked the computer record and came back and told me that I did not owe you any money as I had made my payment the month before. So please double check your financial records to verify that I have missed a payment or not. Being that I am a new customer, it would make me feel better, and this would allow us to start off on the right foot, and would help me to feel assured that I have joined a very professional company. Well, I had to learn what I needed to learn in my experience. My vehicle could not pass inspection because my check engine light was on. I spoke to one of the agents at Car Shield and was told what I needed to do. It just so happened that the check engine light went off within the 15 days that I had to correct the problem. I went back to have it RE inspected and It passed. I did not have to use Car Shield after all. Now I just have to get my sticker from the courthouse. I wonder now if Car Shield covers everything.

Opinion: In most cases having a policy with CarShield would be throwing money away, and it would be difficult for me to be more disappointed with them.

Experience: When I signed up for the policy, I was told that it could be used at any dealership, however after taking my car into a dealership for repairs the dealer said they didn't work with CarShield. After speaking with two people at CarShield to see what dealerships are in the area, there were a very small number - and none for my car's brand. They worked with about 3 or 4 dealerships in the area in total compared to the area having dozens! It would not make sense to pay dealer repair rates at another brand's dealership to have someone work on the car who isn't trained on it and isn't using factory parts, to which they agreed. I had been paying for the plan for over 2 years before looking to make a claim and the customer service supervisor at CarShield refused to refund me anything because my plan was month to month instead of their term length contract.

Lesson: Find a mechanic you like and ask if they have any warranty providers that they work with. Don't do it the other way around as it is much harder to find a trusted mechanic than a warranty provider.

It was fine, I just needed to update my new address.

Great people, good product, and a true need fulfilled can be found at Car Shield if you need an extended warranty for your automobiles! Ask for Cheyenne Green or Darris if you call their Customer Service, they're wonderful help.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Will never refer carshield to my friends nor family. I wish I had know ahead of time how carshield operates. I would rather pay out of pocket than to deal with carshield.
