Called reached a claim person and told her the problem I was having about a bad battery in my car. I was afraid I could not even jump it get to a place to fix it. She said that if I had to have it towed it would be covered for that but not the battery. That sounded alright to me. I was able to get it started and get it to a place to replace it. I was happy with it all. She was very helpful and pleasant. Thanks

I got a bad start and was not going to do it because this sales person acted like a stupid person. He pushed to hard for me to close the deal right then even though I was going to do it when he pulled that bad conduct on me I hung up on him. Later I called back and got a nice lady and took the deal. As far as I know so far going great. I have not read the whole contract yet unless I get a big surprise I am counting on it still being alright after I read it word for word. I am a salesman all my life he needs to learn something tat is when to let up to keep from making someone like me mad. OK right now anyway.

I've used Car Shield for about 18 months. Last month I encountered a car repair bill that was over $2,200. Car Shield covered $1,700 of the repair costs. I figure I had an annualized return of approximately 17.5% on my "investment" in CS. Not bad in today's economy.

There was some delay with CarShield and the service manager negotiating as to what was covered and what was not. He didn't seem happy about receiving partial payment from me with the promise of the balance from CarShield.
How long does it take to settle up?

I don't remember reading or being told the taxes ARE NOT PAID. They don't pay for anything that is not the problem like oil change or coolant when you have a waer pump done. My vehicle also had to have a timing chain replaced because of the water pump, the repair facility had to fight with them. The repair facility had to wait for car shield to send them the parts, couldn't just order them so that the person paying a pricey premium can get their vehicle back in a reasonable time.

The customer support has been great but between Ford of Clermont and Carshield I've been waiting for them to come back with the decision as to approve the repairs and Ford to provide the necessary information required.
