My wife and I have just returned from a trip to Rome, Italy. We wanted to rent a car for this trip.So I've booked one of the cheapest cars in their search, Fiat 500, from Firefly about 2 weeks before our trip started. The price for it was around 4 euros per day. So we paid only 28 euros per week of our rental and had the Excess fee amount on my credit card. I was really happy that everything was so simple, I thought that car rentals in Rome were slightly more expensive. We didn't buy any additional insurance and saved a lot of money.
When we arrived at the airport, Firefly didn't have any Fiat 500 available, so we got an upgrade and they gave us Ford Fiesta. The price didn't change and there were no unexpected charges when we dropped off the car. The Excess fee amount was returned back to my credit card a couple of days before.
