Should've have done a search and review on this company first before ordering from them. The online order was easy enough and they did have the lowest price. But here is the problem. The total that was showing was $51 plus $6 for shipping. I then received an email receipt for $123 after submitting, charging me an unauthorized $66 for shipping. I used their paypal option to pay and there was no page that told me my total cost, till I receive the email. I immediately called Carid.com to cancel and explain why I cancelled. The customer service lady said ok and cancelled the order. She said I will receive an email for the cancellation and in 3 days my refund. Needless to say they went ahead and processed the order and ship the items the next day. I called them back and they told me that because the item is already shipped, I will not get my shipping charge of $73 back and will have to call them again when the item is received to get an RMA for a refund. The kind customer service person pretty much told me that I'm s**t out of luck and should just keep it. I did receive the item but am weary about returning it for a refund, because there seem to be plenty of people here that has not receive a refund for their purchases. Stay away from this company. From all the other reviews it seems they are just a drop shipper, middle man company and have nothing in stock. They will make it as hard as possible for you to get your money back. Buy from amazon, they had the same item for $3 more and with free shipping. Will not be a repeat customer.
After ordering what should have been a complete brake kit I never received the "severe duty" pads that were listed in the description. After multiple stalled & unanswered phone calls I was finally told that according to the supplier "brake pads are not included" even though it is clearly stated in the description of the item. I still have not received the labels to send back the cores, another $100 item that they appear to be blowing off. Take it from someone with over 4 hrs. Of frustration w/ these clowns, DO NO BUSINESS WITH THESE CLOWNS!
I've read some negative comments about Carid, but I've purchased many products online and I found Carid to be very customer oriented, professional, and highly responsive. Other online merchants can learn from them.
Let me start by saying carid customer service is horrible. I order a set of headlights online which showed to be in stock. Waited 2 weeks with no response on shipping information before calling to find out they are in back order and would not be receiving them for another month. Finally recieved the order, a pair of spyder black euro headlight assemblies for a 2011 dodge 2500. Upon installing, both headlights shine to the left with no horizontal adjustment. Talk to carid and they advised that they would replace them once I sent the current pair back. Mind you I had already thrown the original assemblies away due to broken mounting tabs on both headlights. So now I am going to have to wait to drive my only means of transportation for 2 weeks until I receive the replacements. So I decided to purchase a second set of the same headlights to shorten the wait time. The second was recieved and I was refunded for the first set. The second set did the same thing. So I called and they said they could not refund for the second set due to me being out of 30 day warranty. Which they are going by the date of the first set ordered not the second set. So then I ordered a factory set from dodge, which by they way work fine. So now I have a pair of headlights from carid that I can do nothing with but get a replacement and go through this process a fourth time? Really? Oh by the way the customer service supervisor identified as TJ hung up on while explaining my issue to him. Good luck when ordering from carid
Ordered a gas tank for my bronco part said direct fit for my truck, gas tank arived bent in 3 spots, wrong size and it is a used tank. Got put on hold for 22 minutes to talk with the manager just to find out there was NO ONE else at the office. $#*! this site and company don't do any business with them
I was going to order a CV/Axle for my old Honda and noticed Carid.com gave discounts of 10% to military and Veterans. I talked to a rep on the phone and he sent me an email with a embedded site to click on for the discount. When I went to do the purchase it gave me a 5% discount and then it added the 4.00 back to the shipping cost when I was checking out. A total BS deal. I won't ever order anything from these scammers
Girlfriend ordered me a pair of Putco In-Channel Chrome Windows Visors for a 2011 Chevy Silverado. 30 day return policy windows was almost up by the time I received them at Christmas.
Weather was also very bad and I was concerned that installing in fridge cold would affect adhesion of double sided tape. Installed in mid-Jan and found the visors were VERY poorly molded, i. E. fit like ***. Called both Putco and CARid.
At least Putco was polite... will leave a separate post about them. At CARid, the front line CSR was very polite. The customer service supervisor I ended up talking to was a complete ***.
Said I needed to follow the Putco install instructions and flex the visors to fit properly. He was very condescending, basically calling me an ***. The visors are chrome coated and DO NOT flex like plastic visors. I sent pictures showing to poor fit and they said the visor fit "good enough".
Horrible customer service.If this post costs them just one sale, it was a *** move on their part.
I purchase a front bumper and a spoiler for $573.70 I cancel my order the next day before it even ships... I've still been waiting on my return for my money and it's been two weeks already and I haven't gotten back any of my money on an ordered I cancelled the next day before it even shipped... they tell me my refund was already issued and my banker Chase tells me they see no refund at all so now Im trying to dispute the charge which can take an additional 2 weeks... i know they are using our money to do more business when it should be returned asap especially if the item never shipped! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY and READ REVIEWS ABOUT A SITE BEFORE U START ORDERING AND INVESTING HARD EARNED MONEY!

These guys took my money and sent me stuff I didn't need to buy and took no responsibility for it take 45 min of be i Nguyen on hold to tell u o well, if I could reach through the phone to choke them it wouldn't b enough!
Purchased side view mirror covers from CARID. It took 2 months to receive and when I did they were for 2 different cars neither of which was for my car. When I tried to return the items they offered me a $10 coupon for my next purchase but would not take the items back because they were a few days past there 30 day return policy. In Canada we have what we call winter.
I called up customer service to question a ship date and was treated so poorly that I couldn't believe it. I was told I was making up the rules to suit my needs, if you ordered tires already then you should know this stuff already, I was told "Sorry if this interrupts your plans" and we have thousands of tires and rims to deal with.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and when they called back they were as bad as the employee. I asked about customer service and he said our job is to give you an answer as fast as possible and move on. He asked me, "What are you digging for". He said this happens all the time. I said what bad customer service. He said no misinterpretation of intent.
I think if he even admits that this happens all the time, then maybe its the companies fault and not the customers.
Ordered Foose wheels from this site. They take my money and then inform me that these wheels are backordered for 3 to 4 months. What? They offer me some replacement American Racing wheels that were in stock if I liked. So, in stock, I went for it. Well, after waiting a week, I called to find out that the wheels won't be shipped in two weeks! For in stock wheels? So I wait out the two weeks & realize I'll be out of town for the shipping. So I called & promised to send out the following week. Upon my return, I see no shipped wheels. I called again and was told they were short handed. Maybe a few more days. So I waited a couple & called my credit card company. Next day, they shipped the wheels! Refused delivery. These guys suck!
I have been waiting for a month for wheels and tires that I ordered. I called and tried to cancel the order they said they already shipped. I called twice to talk to a manager and waited both times an hour and no one ever picked up the phone. I wish I had found this site before I spent so much money.
Ordered an in stock product 2/5, two led tail lights. I called 2/11 and was told it was scheduled for shipping that day. I received an email on 2/12 that it was shipped. Product was shipped on 2/13. To be delivered on 2/17. I hope it arrives in good shape. Worse thing was no communication.
I ordered headlights for my vehicle from CariD. The headlights of course were drop shipped from another company, which is how CARiD operates. The headlights were so messed up during manufacturing that I couldn't use them. No problem! I will just send them back for an easy refund like there website claims! It took 2 weeks just to get an acknowledge from them that I wanted a refund! I finally got shipping info and a RA# Its been over a week since returning the item and I am still waiting on my money! I have a feeling I will never see my money again! So yes I got ripped off! No merchandise! No money! No Vaseline!

I bought hubcaps they said it would fit I called and asked yes it will fit they said 16 inch hubcaps I told the guy how the rim shape was and try ed to explain it the best I could . So when I got them they didn't fit so I measured them and there 17 inch so called back took all day to talk to someone . When I told him what happened he said ok these will fit there 17 inch he said pay for theses and we will send you a return label so I said ok I got the new ones and still no fit so it's been a month I sent one back and still no money on card and still have hubcaps I need to send back! Peace of $#*! rip offs

I called and ordered some wheels and tires from them. I was assured they were in stock, then they gave me a ship date 2 months away. I will never deal with them again. Very unresponsive customer service.

They sent me the wrong roof rack. I emailed them letting them know I unpacked it and put it on my car only to realize that it was not what I had ordered. It was never used or altered for the installation and the only thing that was done really was it was taken out of the plastic wrap. Here is the copied email response in improper english.
