The reason for the low rating. I purchased one of the products from CarID.com, and wrote to them in hopes that they would assist me with a defective car stereo. I purchased a Power Acoustik® PDN726B from carID.com on January 4,2017, it shipped on January 7,2017, and delivered on January 11,2017. The motorized display no-longer has an image on it, but if I touch the screen, the system will acknowledge the touch with a beep.
I understand the 90-day warranty that exists on the stereo unit, and that it is based on the purchase date of the stereo. However, I felt I had a unique situation that may qualify for special consideration to extend the warranty period, or change the date that the warranty became effective.
On January 11,2017, I was hospitalized to have a total left knee replaced and remained in the hospital until January 13,2017. After being released, I used a walker to help with my mobility, and was required to complete physical therapy. I completed the physical therapy at the end of May 2017, and the middle of June, I was given the approval, of my physician, to resume my normal activities, providing pain did not increase.
In June 2017, I begin my preparations to install my new car stereo. The preparation included, reading the instructions and studying the wiring diagrams for the install. The install required me to make a custom spacer to get the stereo to fit correctly within the dash space. It took me a couple of weeks to complete the custom work and I completed the install at the end of June 2017.
I realize that the purchase was made in January, but the stereo unit did not even have power applied to the unit until the end of June. I asked carID to please reconsider the start of the warranty period, and allow me to get a warranty replacement for this unit?
After having surgery and it taking nearly six months to recover, I feel this is a special case that warrants special consideration, and qualifies for replacement under warranty.
CarID did provide me with a $30.00 gift card, but in the end, it cost me an additional $194.48 to get a replacement stereo for my car.
Carid is the best store for shopping for parts. It stumps physical and electronic stores. I love their customer service. I especially love their catalog, how you can enter your car or cars and have your garage electronically for quick access to parts. I love how easy it is to browse any part from customization to repair even performance! Never going to any other place except for fluids. :D

I had been looking all over for Chrome window visors and find and was recommended this website through our car dealership so happy I found them
I had ordered a speedometer that would not work on my 77 camaro so I had to return it but there was a mix up with the tracking saying it hasn't even been shipped yet. Not allowing me to return the part. I called the number and the guy named Julian I think fixed everything and made it easy to return the part
I have found stuff in this website that i have not been able to find at my local autoparts, but I don't know how their warranty claim works. Some people have complain that the website has send them wrong parts etc, but from experience at part sales, a lot of people don't even know the name of their car. For example some Japanese cars can only fit certain parts, it all depends if it was assemble in U.S. or Japanese, the way you find that out is by seeing the vin, if it starts with a J it was japanese, if it doesn't it was made in U.S. In short, if you gonna order from them or any other online websites know your car info, or have VIN available, it will save you headache.
Had an issue with shipping and UPS damaging my item. CarID was on it immediately. Sent pictures and an email and had an immediate response and reshipment. Will order from them again!

Wow, worst experience ever. After agreeing to a price match for a part that included shipping, I was informed that there would be an additional 125.00 shipping. This was not price matching. The price match included shipping. Before I could refuse and cancel the order, they shipped it. Now Im suppose to jump they hoops to return something I never authorized in the first place, and have been threatened that I would be again charged shipping if I dont do it there way. WOW. Do not do business with under any circumstance. I cant believe the arrogance of this company.
