Lied to twice

Lied to twice trying to get a ski rack for my car.

Bought a rack and a ski holder at the same time, get an email that they both ship. Rack shows up but no ski holder. Call up Carid and they say oops its backordered. They never informed me or let me know that. I even called UPS to see if they messed up delivery. So I talk to the representative and agree to buy a different, more expensive rack that he promises will ship the next day so I can still make my trip. 24 hours pass and I get am email stating that it will ship 5 days later. Even though I was promised that it was in stock and ready to go. Come to find out, they ship direct from manufacturer so they have no idea if they can actually ship you the item they just sold you.

Buyer beware they are liars and poor communicators.

This place sucks! They lie on there web page. There is no customer service they all give you the same response. I ordered seats on November 10 there website says 3 to 5 days. That is a lie! I did not get my seats until December 1. Then my order not what I ordered. Don't use these liars.

About 40 days ago I ordered Spyder headlamp and tail lamp fixtures for my 2007 Silverado.
The ordered shipped and I received the items. I installed the fixtures and all seamed well. About two weeks later I noticed the left rear fixture was shorting out. When the blinker is on, the entire fixture goes dark. Then a week later I noticed the main lamp in the right headlight fixture went dark.\I called, after several hours of talking with folks and explaining my truck is NOT LEAGLE and this is an issue, they finally agreed to ship out new tail light fixtures overnight. Then we had to call Spyder about the headlamp.
It was agreed that all parts would ship overnight as again, my truck not not legal. 5 days later, NO PATRS! NO TAIL LAMP FIXTURE REPLAV]CEMENT AND NO HEADLAMP REPLACEMENT.
MY TRUCK IS ILEAGEL AND I RECEIVED A TICKED LAST NIGHT.

The WORST customer service. Went with company after they advertised free shipping. Saw they offered Military discount so I called and was verified and approved. Didn't realize until later that they gave me the discount but took away free shipping. Wasn't much more so I didn't make a deal of it. Ordered tail lights. It rained a week after install and they filled with water. Contacted Car ID to see if I could get money back and return items. Would not do a refund. Not their policy. They will only replace with same (defective) product. Will only send replacements after they send me return label, send back old lights, and then review my account. More than a week later and still no return label. Call and they are still "processing" label. Called again and demanded refund. They finally agreed, but will only issue refund after they receive old tail lights. Still "processing" return label. Return label "should be done in another 24 to 48 hours". The same label I have been waiting on for more than a week. It states on website main page "Easy Returns". That's a joke.

Horrible Process
December 6, 2018

I ordered a set of headlights and fog lights for my BMW, 2 weeks later i receive my fog lights but no headlights. I call Carid and they state its pending! Another week goes by and nothing so I call and ask for a refund, all they say is that its proccesing and will not rfund my money! Today they tell me the lights shipped on November 26th! What is going on here, i need my money back! Stay away from this site, no one has a clue whats going on

Ordered 2 parts by phone (small transmission switches). The salesperson led me to believe that the parts would be here in two business days. Problem 1: He didn't mention since billing address & shipping address were different, I would have to respond to a verification email. That held it up a day or two. And is forgivable.
Problem 2: One of the two parts arrived about 5 days later. I called, was told to wait up to 24 hours for an email. I waited 2 days, asked via the websites chat where it was. Once again was told to wait up to 24 hours for an email. Yesterday's latest chat, I was told it was being shipped "tomorrow from a new manufacturer". Today's chat I was given a tracking number and told it is "due to arrive " tomorrow. Meanwhile I have lost the use of my vehicle for over two weeks because of their ineptitude. For my trouble, they have offered a $15 gift cert for my next purchase with CarID. They won't discount this order, not even the horrible shipping charge.

Waste of time

I ordered headlights and they sent the wrong ones they said they would send the correct ones a month later I called and they told me they wouldn't be back in stock for another month. Total waste of time and I got tickets for having a light out. After telling customer service they told me they couldn't do anything about it so I requested a refund and will never buy from them again.

Bunch of thieves

Sent me a $300 part in place of the $900 part I ordered. Additionally, I didn't get everything I ordered. They said they couldn't help because the vendor was refusing. They offered a $50 gift certificate (for my inconvenience) to the same website that had screwed me. Total BS company.

They blame you for their defects on brand new parts out of the box. One person tells you they will resolve it and another will tell you they won't, you don't deal with one person, you get tossed around.

Horrible customer service
November 21, 2018

Bought two tires on 11/5. Got charged on 11/6 and an email with a tracking number saying they were shipped. It's 11/20 and still no tires. Talked to customer service 4 times now and they are rude and completely useless. Keep giving me the run around. Have asked many times for them to just cancel the order and refund my money which they have refused to do. Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Will never buy from them again.

Submitted order for wheels, cost for wheels were good until the shipping costs put about $25.00 to each wheel. Which is expected. It's either added to the price of the wheel, with "free" shipping or added on to it. Once the order is shipped, NO REFUNDS! Even if the order has not been received. Once the product is on the truck and "shipped", no refund is or will be giving. If you are looking for wheels and tires, it better be what you want. No exceptions! Otherwise, best to stay with brick and mortar shops.

Do yourself a favor and run away as fast as you can from this online store. I've been waiting literally six months for my replacement Westin front bumper brackets, because the wrong ones were shipped. Now they tell me it should only be four to six weeks more before they can make the right ones? They blame it on the manufacturer of course.

TO SUN IT ALL UP, I PURCHASED SOME TIRES AND WHEELS. THEY CAME TO ME UNBALANCED/BALANCED WRONG. THEY FOUGHT WITH ME OVER AND OVER TELLING ME THAT THERE WASNT ANYTHING WRONG AND THAT THEY BALANCED THEM USING THE LATEST MACHINES. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY TIRES WERE DAMAGED AMD I WENT BACK AND FORTH WITH THEM ON THE ISSUE. THEY TRIED TO EVEN BLAME THE MANUFACTURER AND TEIED GETTING THEM TO WARRANTY THE TIRES. THIS WENT ON FOR MONTHS. STILL ZERO RESOLVED ISSUE. THEY WOUOD EXCEPT MY CALLS ANS DIDNT RETURN EMAILS. I WAS A CUSTOMER WHEN SPENDING THOUSANDS BUT NON EXISTENT WHEN I HAD ISSUES CAUSED BY THEIR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE BALANCING THE TIRES. I WOULDNT BUY MY LAST BREATH OF AIR IF I WERE SUFFOCATING!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AMD LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR ANYTHING YOU MAY WANT TO BUY. BEWARE OF THIS BELOW SATISFACTORY COMPANY. I HAD MIXED REVIEWS IN THE BEGINNING AND HEARD HORROR STORIES... BUT I WAS TOLD THINGS HAPPEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. WELL I SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH MY GUT.

"In stock" is fake
November 15, 2018

I order some fuel injectors "in stock" on 10/13. But they change the shipping date to 11/15 because they are "out of stock". They gave me a $15 giftcard which is not bad, and they told me usually it will be shipped soon, 11/15 it's just an estimate. But nothing happened so far. It's so frustrating to wait forever. DON"T TRUST ANYTHING THAT MARKS AS "IN STOCK"!

Tire and Wheel Package
November 9, 2018

On 9/22/2018 I ordered a wheel and tire package the expected delivery was pushed back to 10/17/2018. I finally received the tires and wheels on 10/22/2018 after calling every week for updates on when I was supposed to receive my items and no one having any information for me a month later I received three out of four wheels. One wheel was lost by UPS mysteriously and another was damaged. It was such a difficult process just to get information on when they was supposed to get UPS to pick up the damaged tire and every customer service rep can never provide me with a time line on when I will receive my merchandise. Every time I speak with customer service and request to speak to a supervisor there is never anyone available but after reading some of these reviews I see that this is a common practice. It is now 11/9/2018 and I have only two tires now over a month after I made my initial order and they got their money but I don't have my tires. This is definitely the worst experience and I think that I'm going to just request a full refund because I have a feeling that they are going to screw the two wheels and tires that I'm waiting for up mind you they didn't even send the center caps for the wheels that I received. Also they have a Better Business Bureau accreditation emblem on their website but yet I can't even find their business name in the search. To top it all off all they offer me is $50 off of my purchase for my inconvenience what a smack in the face.

At times a headache.
November 10, 2018

First my order consisted of my running boards and my tail-lights. Wrong tail lights was ordered on my part. Soo i sent them back and between emails and phonecalls we keep re establishing its not the whole order and just the tail lights that needed to be sent back. Next is my boards. This item came in 2 boxes. Box with the boards was wide open when it was delivered. Thankfully no damage was found. Box #2. Missing a whole trucks side of screws, nuts, washers etc. And the ones that were in there were just thrown in the box. Screws were asorted with different types also. Finally box #2 wasnt so stuff maybe fell out. Might have to start going to other websites if this happens again.

9/5 I ordered a bed liner for a 2015 dodge ram big horn, part number *******srx on 9/5.
9/6 they said order had shipped.
9/7 now they say the order has been delayed.
9/10 once again said order shipped
9/14 received the wrong part, they shipped me *******sr. Called customer service. They required that I send pictures proving the part did not fit and the part number. I did that.
9/18 incorrect part return request approved (They have to get the ok from the factory, I didnt buy if from the factory, but ok)
9/21 Still working on getting factory approval
9/23 no response yet
9/27 they said to destroy the part and send pictures to prove it was destroyed because it was not worth paying to ship it back. Did that the same day.
They then sent a replacement part. Got the same wrong part again *******sr not *******srx, so I refused the delievery.
Called customer service again several times over the next month. Had to end up talking to a supervisor for over an hour to get them to take responsibility for sending the wrong part and not push it off to the factory (who was refusing to refund CARiD for shipping the wrong part).
10/19 CARiD agreed to refund my card within 3 to 5 business days.
10/30 the credit finally hit my account (11 days later).

Thats my experience... just trying to keep others from having to go through what I did.

Beyond worse rating

Promise but no deliver

Ordered rims and tires and service was great! Gave a review of salesperson as great Promised delivery by Nov 9th and then said they would Ship by Nov13! Tried to cancel as I was leaving Nov 9th but they said I could not cancel! Don't buy from them!
