Brake rotors weren't compatible despite their website indicating they were. CARiD's website never prompted me for a "submodel" for my 2016 Fiesta, so I ended up with oversized (larger diameter) rotors apparently meant for the 4-wheel disc brake version Fiesta. I discovered that "after" having taken the current rotors off the car - all that dirty work only to have to put the original rotors back on and go thru CARiD's return - which was a hassle. You'll know what I'm talking about if you ever have to return anything. I'm surprised that they didn't require that little form you have to attach to the outside of the package to be notarized. The icing on the cake for all the trouble of my having to do that brake job all over again (once they sent the correct rotors) was that they didn't provide a full refund on the original purchase. Just some additional hassle dealing with CADiD to get a full refund - which they eventually made. Bottom line is that I'll never be back at their website ordering anything.

Disappointed

Have been trying for months to return some defective headlights. I feel like they are trying to get us to give up. We won't. Will never shop here again. And very interesting that they bribe people to give them good reviews. Sounds a little dishonest.

Never again. Huge mistake

Ordered a roof rack form CarID and I get a call a month later that it's on back order. Though their website indicated no such thing. Just received a call that the shipping date is pushed back even more to the end of November. I will never again be ordering anything from this website. Shop around, avoid ordering anything from here.

Worst Customer Service EVER
September 23, 2019

After ordering Powerstop brake kits, the wrong rotors were shipped. We have a Chevy. They sent rotors for a Ford. And yes, we did order the correct rotors in the first place. I was told return labels would be emailed in 2-3 days. After jumping through hoops, and absolutely NO follow up on their part, I had to take pictures to prove the wrong rotors were sent. Pictures of the box weren't good enough. I had to unbox each rotor and photograph the part number on the side of the rotor. A month later, we finally got the labels.

Two days after their receipt, we received notification that they're shipping the new rotors. They're the WRONG rotors. AGAIN! These are for a Chevy (OEM, no less), but not the ones that we were supposed to have received (drilled and slotted). I called and the guy said they were the right ones. We went back and forth. Finally, he saw the light and agreed they were wrong. He'd try to cancel the order and order the correct ones. Well, the wrong rotors are supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

I also called and emailed Eunice who's supposed to be a customer service supervisor, and with whom I've been dealing with for the last couple weeks. She has been unresponsive. Totally.

Our saga is far from over, but my dealing with CARid are. Never again. Ever. And if you're smart, you'll run, not walk, far, far away from this company.

BTW, if I could give zero stars, that's what they'd get.

Deceptive Customer Service

Avoid this online retailer like EBOLA! If you have an issue with a part you bought, they will give you the run around, different agents handling your case and don't know where the last agent left of, they will ask you lots of pictures as if you are allowed to get into the mechanic's shop to take pictures just for the sole purpose or warranty, and even if you do they will ask for more pictures and videos (how do you picture driveshaft vibration? I've sent them pics and videos to prove it and still was not enough, they blame mechanic that it was not installed properly, but it was installed correctly!). I had the 3 shops that dismissed the driveshaft was defective but still that was not enough.

My warning is, if its past 30 days and had issues, you will get burned. I guarantee you that. So you better have a good credit card that will chargeback this merchant for they will steal your money and get no refund as recourse. It's still safer to buy local aftermarket parts because you have a recourse if things go wrong and won't give you nonsense. Use this online merchant at your own risk!

2 months of trying to order a dash cover from these guys. First over the phone, then confirmed in chat that guy never placed the order after 1 hour of selecting product. Second call took about 2 hours with very helpful, knowledgeable sales guy who waved $5 of total $10 to order samples. Then the flurry of Shipment Delayed emails came. I complained in email and was giving a $10 gift certificate. Second set of samples still has not arrived. Placed 3rd call and was told Sales had closed even though doesn't show on site, so the ordering department had NO idea how to apply my gift card when I decided to go with ordering from the sample I received rather than keep waiting for the one that never arrived. I vented to the ordering department and demanded a call the following morning from someone who do place my order. No surprise---NO call back today. So, I went directly to the CoverCraft to order. It took 15 minutes over the phone, and email confirmations arrived while I was still on the phone. The sales person gave me FREE shipping due to all the problems I had, and their price with tax was lower than CarID's. 2 MONTHS--but NO Delivery. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Sales guy also promised me I would receive everything in less than 1 week. LIES! Had I placed the full order, I doubt that I would have ever received it.

Poor customer service

Lumen® - Black/Smoke LED 3rd Brake Light Item - came to me in used condition. I was told on saturday that a new would be sent on Monday. I called on Tuesday to get a tracking # and was told that it as not been shipped yet. They wanted a photo sent of the box, a photo of the light, my vin number and an explanation of the damages. I returned the light and order from a different company. Very poor customer service.

I Called carid to purchase carbon fiber ground effects for my vehicle and was informed by the representative that the parts will fit my vehicle (one part being universal- I agreed and completed the purchase on the phone with the representative then began to look at the part fitment numbers and discovered that the part will not fit my vehicle (even the universal part), 15 minutes later I called back and requested to cancel the entire order since I no longer trusted the knowledge or motive of said representative- I called the following day to ensure the orders were cancelled and they assured me that they would. I was told that they cancelled one of the orders and were working on cancelling the other- 4 or 5 days later I received the universal piece, I opened the package, saw what it was and repacked it, requested a return label and sent it back to carid- after about 8 days of no information I contacted carid and they informed me that the item was returned damaged and that there was nothing they could do regarding the return of my 251.00 dollars, amazing lol. I am currently preparing to litigate their bold and questionable actions after discussing the matter with a carid supervisor called leah who appeared to take pleasure in assuring me that my 251.00 dollars were forfeited and there was nothing they could do.

We purchased rotors and calipers. They squealed constantly, the rubber boot on the piston ripped and the rotor wore pre maturely. Less than 15,000 miles. We ordered Monroe Struts. They came in a box marked Monroe but were not marked on the strut itself as Monroe and did not properly fit our car. They claim easy returns. They made us jump through hoops to get a return and then kept part of our money. It took 3 weeks to get them to approve the return. They falsely advertise parts and sell poor quality in place of the real thing. Will NEVER buy from them again.

Audi headlights crap
September 11, 2019

I ordered a pair of headlights from them they didn't fit. They said they should fit and told me I had to take pictures to show what was wrong before they could refund my shipping and restock fee. They wanted me to take the bumper and old headlights back out to take pictures. Never again will I shop with these scammers

ASKED WHEN I ORDERED ABOUT SHIPPING AND IF WHEELS WERE TO SHOW UP DAMAGED HOW WOULD THAT BE HANDLED I WAS ASSURED OF GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THAT THE WHEELS WERE PACKAGED SO WELL THAT THEY WOULD NOT SHOW UP DAMAGED. LOW AND BEHOLD, ONE WHEEL SHOWS UP DAMAGED AND I GET STUCK WITH IT. AFTER HAVING TO ARGUE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REQUESTING TO GET HALF PRICE(WHICH I THINK IS MORE THAN REASONABLE) ON THAT DAMAGED WHEEL I WAS FINALLY TOLD I COULD BE COMPENSATED $80. THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I WAS ABOUT TO ORDER ANOTHER $1000 WORTH OF ACCESSORIES FROM THEM BUT NEVER AGAIN.

Scam Do Not buy from them

I ordered A part called cancelled it 2 hours later. They offered me immediate store credit which i did not take customer service told me my money would be refunded in 5 business days. Wrong rim info

Make sure rims fit before you buy. Do your own research and do not rely on their fitment system. I have been shopping one rim in particular. MRR HR9. For months it said that the rim is guaranteed to fit my car. Go back a week or so ago and all of a sudden the rims do not fit. The funny thing is I'm also speaking with a MRR representative and they say the rim fits. What to do? Who's right?

Please read my experience carefully to see the quality of service you should expect from this company.

- I usually write positive feedback for most sellers I do business with, but unfortunately this company should be reported for fraudulent activity.
- After ordering a part through their eBay store, 3 times throughout the week they told me my item would be shipped the next day.
- After waiting a week to have my item shipped, the company said they no longer had my item in stock and cancelled my order without my consent.
- Interestingly enough, they had just relisted the same item on their page for more money. The original cost that I paid was $134.57 but they now increased the price to $245.05.
- I told CariD that I did not want a refund, I just wanted the item I purchased delivered.
- The company lied in saying that the item was out of stock and simply did not want to ship it to me at a lower cost.
- Each time I reached out to the company by email or phone, no representative was informed with what was happening in my case and I was forced to re-explain everything each time.
- They gave me a $25 gift certificate to make up for the inconvenience but it did not work on their website. Upon contacting them about this, they said it was working, when in reality it does not work.
- Any company that values a customer would have honored the price I purchased the part for and sent it out.
- CariD values bottom line profit more than the customer experience.

Bought a carbon fiber hood, didn't get the chance to open it upon arrival because I was in a hurry leaving. Opened it late at night and notice there's 2 small cracks. Messaged them the next day and they said there's nothing they can do since i signed the delivery without any damage. Didn't even try to help at all. Lesson learned, anything fragile always check before signing anything. Never happened to me before, all items I get are always in perfect condition didn't think any of it. PS: this was the first item a bought from them.

If the part arrived damaged, the receiver needs to sign the Proof of Delivery as "Damaged", refuse the package and contact CARiD to report the damage and request the replacement or refund.

Ordered from this website because it was a few dollars cheaper than rock auto and autozone. It seemed like I would get my part in time. It's been two days since the "estimated shipping date". I have yet to receive a tracking number. Customer service is unable to provide me with any information, they said give them 48 "business hours" to find out what's happening. I told them I want to cancel but guess what, but they're going to charge me fees for restocking. Thanks for punishing me CarID. They have me by the balls here. I can't afford to pay restocking fees and buy the same part. After reading the reviews, I see that it was a mistake. Now I'm going to have to spend extra money on Uber while my car is inoperable. This is becoming a wildly expensive mistake.

Horrible service

Ordered rims and never got a tracking number so I didn't know when they arrive an ofcourse I wasn't home when they did so they got shipped back an they never answered my email. So now I finally got hold of them an they are charging me shipping again to send them back out

I ordered cargo carrier on-line on June 5. Web site offered free shipping. Paid $299.99 plus tax ($320.20). Got message that delivery would be on 6/24. Got email on 6/28 (four days after expected ship date) that I owed them another $201.26 because their web site did not charge me shipping. I went back to the web site and added the same item to my cart and it still offered free shipping. After back and forth emails with Customer Service they finally agreed to ship based on the original web site quote and charge. But, then the shipping ETA went to August 19th (10 weeks from the original order date)! Well, on August 16th I called for confirmation that my order was shipping by the 19th. They said the new ETA was now the end of September. Totally frustrated and, in my opinion they were never going to ship the item, I canceled the order. Refund was fast but I will never do business again with this company.

Tries to charge more fees after original order. Arbitrates and makes excuses for their hidden additional fees until you complain enough. Delays shipping for weeks or even months. Sells and lists items that they do not keep in stock.

My order is a mess!

Ordered wheels and lug nuts. They sent the wrong lugnuts and I have been a week waiting on the correct ones. They told me today they are not sure if the lug nuts have been shipped to me or not. I said can you tell me when they will arrive! Their Response "I don't have that information" What kind of operation is this... I should send this stuff back...
