I placed an order with CARiD. The shipping charge was calculated incorrectly. I called immediately after the order was placed and cancelled the order. CARiD apologized for the mistake ($500 shipping fee for 8 van roof mounting brackets), and reassured me the order was cancelled. The problem is that they charged my credit card for the order; $800. I have been on the phone with their customer support team every 48 hours since the transaction, and they tell me that I will be reimbursed for the cancelled transaction within 24-48 hours. This cancelled transaction took place over 14 days ago. After several conversations with CARiD they now tell me they are a drop shipper and rely on 3rd party vendors to make refunds. They tell me they are not in control, and they state that the vendor who supplies the bolts has not been responding to their requests to cancel the order. So, CARiD is passing their dysfunctional relationship with this vendor onto me, the customer. I am now going through disputes with American Express in an attempt to recover the money CARiD has stolen. This has been the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I know this story sounds unbelievable, but it is true. I will never purchase from CARiD again.

For any of you car enthusiasts out there... avoid purchasing from CARID.COM.
They advertised a part for my car, i bought it and took it to my mechanic to install. Guess what... doesn't fit. Wrong info on their website states that it fits my 2019 CRV. Digging a bit, the manufacturer website shows that it doesn't fit... they don't even make this part for my car. CARID has SO VERY GENEROUSLY offered me a $50 gift card towards future purchases but refuses to refund the $600 in mechanics charges for install/remove/reinstall original parts. Their response "guess you'll have to take it to court"... yes, really

Buyer Beware Product warped and malled. Received my order for an entire body kit for dodge charger 1 week late. When order arrived, parts were deformed from the molding process they use. Not a single straight line on any bumper or side skirt. 1" plus size gaps all around. The ends of each part were malled or warped because they moved the parts out of the mold before the were fully cured. Terrible Terrible company. You get what you pay for, yes. And they are cheap, yes. Stay far away. My company is out $2,000 now because I couldn't fabricate all the parts enough with the deadline given by the customer. I could have molded new parts faster and cheaper than fix there's. I beg you not to do business with these people. Even a refund won't get my money I lost back.

Wrong part.

Before ordering I contacted them to make sure to order the correct parts. Based on their info I ordered the parts. The parts that arrived were the wrong parts. Not the parts I ordered.
When contacted about this, they want to charge me again to get the correct parts. They say they will refund the cost of the incorrect parts when the receive them back. Every other company I have ever dealt with sends the correct part along with a return shipping label without charging you twice. At this point in time I have not received the return shipping label to send the incorrect parts back. I did not pay to receive the correct parts. I will use a better company to get my parts from.
Update 10/27:
The single order was shipped in three separate shipments. To date only one has arrived. The order shipped by UPS is showing delayed. The one shipped FedEx say this tracking number cannot be found. Say "Check the number or contact the sender" this is a problem because they will not return the funds until they receive the parts back. How can I return what I haven't received.

DO NOT BUY FROM CARiD! CARiD (Onyx) is disgusting in the way the company treats customers. I ordered two tires from CARiD August 22,2019. The amount of this transaction exceeded $100 ($102.44). Supposedly, the tires were delivered August 28,2019. I was not home when the tires were "delivered" and never received them. I immediately contacted CARiD and FedEx, and made a report. They started an "investigation". I was "promised" by customer service they would warranty the tires and mail another two to me free-of-charge. However, they later stated there was nothing they could do and blamed me for not being home when the tires were delivered. PEOPLE HAVE JOBS! They did not mail the tires signature required AS I HAD REQUESTED they do (by telephone) when I originally placed the order. They made non-stop excuses, lies, and have no care whatsoever about customer service. I had spent extensive time on the phone with numerous CARiD representatives to resolve this matter and was unfruitful. I requested a refund and they continued to make excuses, and pointed the blame at me. Nonetheless, I filed a complaint with the BBB and their excuse now is that I have a pending credit card dispute which I do not! The transaction has been re-posted in my bank account. I gave away over a hundred dollars! A lot of their positive reviews are fake. If you'd like to actually see how this company is, check-out the Better Business Bureau (CARiD/Onyx)!

Called CARiD to make sure I was ordering the correct part. Even after hanging up with the representative I was hesitant. The order came today and it was completely the wrong part. I'm being told that if I want the correct part (what I ordered) it'll cost me another $100. But wait it gets better, they are going to do me a favor by expediting it to me. I'll never use this company again.

Ordered a chrome bumper got a non powder coated black bumper. The supervisor said the pictures on the site are "generic". Unreal.

Carid.com is very bad company! Not respecting customers. International service and help is zero! I buy rexxu rgb seat covers and i receive very high customs charge tax in UK from amount 300$ that why i receive high customs charge tax, I pay 200$.
Ups told me to speak with sender, But carid only say sorry, i dont need your sorry,
What i need is refund for your failure! This is like cat and mouse, nobody want to take responsibility! Also 1 seat missing lights blue and sky blue.

I purchased something from this company, and paid for it and also payed for shipping. One week later they sent me an email telling me I owed them $211 additional shipping cost. I told them there must be some mistake they told me you either pay the $211 or canceling your order. They did not try to help me at all. I contacted the manufacturer where the top was being made because it was a special order, I ask them for the size and weight of the package they will be sending it in. I then contact UPS with the addresses and got rates from them. UPS told me it would cost $32.34. When I called car ID back they told me that the shipping cost was $221 total. They would do nothing to help me or to find out why the shipping cost was that much. Do not purchase from this company because if something goes wrong they will not help you

So they advertise low prices, looks good right? Not if the part they send to you is broken and can't be used. That is what they did to me, twice... they want UPS to review the package, the package was fine. The part that was broken off, was not in the box. If it was the shippers fault, the broken part would still be in the box. So someone at CardID sent a broken part to me. My car has been down a week, now to make a claim, it will be another week to get this, hopefully, resolved. I don't have a lot of hope. Stay away from them, they want to take your money, send broken parts, and hope you go away.

If I could give negative stars

If I could give negative stars, I would. Horrible service and they are liars. I bought a set of wheels ($1700+). They were "guaranteed fit". The wheels did not fit, would not clear my front brake calipers. The return policy states that if you are not satisfied or they do not fit they offer a full refund or exchange.

I called, discussed with them. Tires do not clear and the manufacturer, TSW, states they will not fit. They put me on hold for 10 minutes and then started asking about my VIN number and receipts... etc. Pretty much calling me a liar. Very frustrating. So, I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Horrible customer service. STAY AWAY from these clowns.

This company is an absolute joke and total scam company! I purchased a rear truck window for my 2013 Tacoma. When it came I took it down to a licensed dealer to have it installed. The window came defective and they were not able to install it. I contacted CarId to report the problem to them and after 5 months of me constantly contacting them, I finally received an email stating that there is nothing wrong with the window and they will not refund my money. A licensed window dealer told me the window is defective. Be AWARE of this SCAM COMPANY!

Review re CARiD.com and Variant.com
I ordered a set of wheels that were manufactured by Variant and sold by CARiD/com. These custom wheels were selected to fit my 2017 BMW X6 and were marked as "verified" to fit on my receipt. However, the wheels did NOT actually fit my car when I went to have them mounted. CARiD customer service directed me to go back THREE times for fitment test of the wheels that did not fit in order to give them multiple pictures in order to understand the problem. Finally they said they had contacted the manufacturer, Variant, on my behalf. VARIANT CONFIRMED THAT THE WHEELS WERE IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED. Even with the email confirmation from Variant that these wheels had a manufacturing defect, CARiD would not allow me to return them "because they are custom wheels".

I would NOT recommend buying anything from this company. Unless of course, you prefer to pay for a brand new product that you receive in worse condition than the one you are replacing. If we wanted to have the damaged product replaced and sent to us quickly, we would be responsible for the fees. If a business wants to succeed, they would replace the part that was sent in terrible condition in an expedited manner so the customer doesn't have to wait an additional 2 weeks. We will definitely never buy products from CARid.COM again!

I ordered two radiators from them for my Lincoln MKX. The Engine coolant one shows bear to hell. So bad that the UPS drive commented on the box... when we called they insisted that I pay for shipping. F U why should I pay for something that YOU ship and insure to get to me in reasonable condition. Your business practices are $#*!. And I will never purchase from you again..

I had to go through PayPal to get my refund after CARiD strung me along for weeks. I initially thought they were professional and courteous, but after four attempts to get them to verify that I had returned all of the items in my order, they continued to say I would only get a partial refund until they had received all of the items. I shipped all items back in one box via UPS and had the tracking number and weight. They failed to contact the manufacturer to verify the items had been returned despite numerous follow-ups by me, over several weeks. CARiD is the source of the problem, not the manufacturers.

If you are ordering a part and you get what you want there is no problem to get 5 stars but it's when you did not order a part or they send you the wrong part and you are trying to get a refund that is when the nightmare will start. I spent approximately four different days trying to get a refund canceling my order each time on the phone with them between 30 minutes to 1 hour cuz they are constantly putting you on hold I I asked for a supervisor and every time I ask for a supervisor that they put me on hold for about 5 minutes and the same lady comes back on staining okay they will take care of it not really taking care of it not keeping their word making me have to call back and get the next day and stay on the phone with them for another 30 minutes I got so frustrated that I decided to just leave it the way it was and I believe I did not get my full refund but it's so much painted I can eat to deal with them that I decided to just let it go versus wasting an extra hour again and again and again I will never buy offer this company ever again the worst company that I've ever dealt with online when it comes to getting a refund for something you did not order. Make sure when you order from these company if they say they're going to give you a refund make sure they give it to you in the email cuz a lot of times they told me I was getting a refund and I did not. I ordered a air filter which I did get but I did not order and oil filter and that was the problem that I had this is a picture of the box that I received from CARiD with a third party executed the delivery

Just Horrible

I bought Dorman 609-000 transmission control module for 07 GMC Acadia from CarID, which turned to be defective, while spent extra $100 for programming it, they won't replace the bad module, instead they refunded me full price including core deposit, but the core I shipped them awhile ago, won't return since "it has been returned to manufacturer and can't be returned to me". So now when I go to other seller, it gonna cost me extra core deposit, which is $300, added to my module total price, even if I buy it from CarID again. Stole my core pretty much. Now I have Acadia sitting in my driveway with no module at all.

Terrible Customer Service
September 27, 2019

Purchased twice from CariD, and both times was severely disappointed. The first purchase was a rim for my police interceptor and upon receipt, the item was damaged so I attempted to file a claim. Very rude customer service and it ultimately came down to the fault of the delivery service that they used so I was told to follow up with them. A lack of accountability and care for customers speaks volumes of this site. My second purchase was a thermostat and gasket, thermostat came without a hitch but I have yet to receive the gasket, it has been 2 months now. When I filed a complaint they simply stated that the item had been delivered and that it wasn't their responsibility to compensate for the unaccounted for item. Very infuriating and would not recommend doing business with these shady folks if you can help it.
