Do not buy from unless they have in stock got run around for month on dash kit was given 4 ship dates each time date not met they claim to have called supplier and would add a week which kept repeating based on responses they have no clue on getting accurate information from their supplier poor customer care can't imagine buying from them plenty others firms that deliver on time or with proper followup

We ordered a $30 part and was charged $115 for shipping. Not a heavy item- it was plastic and light.
Had to return the item because it was not as described in the information provided - and got NO shipping amount refunded.

Missing parts
May 25, 2020

I purchased amp steps and it was missing a light. Everytime i try to get that one little part that probably costs $3 when i just purchased $1600 steps, they always give me a hard time. Its been one headache after the next with them.

Ordered an item that was clearly shown as "in stock" on their website only to get an email a few days later stating it was backordered. I replied to the email asking why it showed "in stock" and never got a reply. Called on the day it was due to ship (a Thursday at 1:30pm) to see if it shipped (since I didn't get an email one way or the other) and got a recording stating that I had reached them outside of normal business hours. Left a message canceling order, and asked them to call me: no phone call came. Called Friday at 11am, same message of 'outside business hours'. In short, this company apparently doesn't want your business, and isn't worth the hassle of ordering from. Southwest Performance Parts processed my order and shipped within an hour. I'd highly suggest them instead!

Flex undercover
May 23, 2020

I purchased a tonneau cover "FLEX" for 879.00 from carid on 5. 16. 2020. I got it and took the box apart and notice I was missing some parts. I called the manufacturer 1st and they said we can't help you because you didn't purchase it from us. I than called Carid and they told me that I need to send a photo of the box and serial number so, they can get with manufacturer and see if they would be able to ship the missing parts to me. Now keep in mind the parts costed 40.00 at your local hardware store. It has been 7 days I have nothing from Carid or Flex about my missing parts. Bad Customer Service on the part of Carid and Flex I will send this piece of crap back to you and get a better tonneau cover somewhere else.

I bought a pair of taillights from them and was told that the ship date would be 6 weeks away. The very next day I canceled the order and received a cancellation request confirmation. 2 days later I received an email saying that my order had shipped and my cancellation could not be fulfilled. I was forced to pay the shipping to return the product or I would not get any of my money back. After spending upwards of 10 hours on hold trying to reach customer service I still ended up having to pay the shipping out of my return for a mistake that they made. Be extremely sure you want the product if you place an order from them or they will hold you hostage.

I ordered an air intake. When I entered a Canadian address the price jumped up up (I assumed this was the currency conversion). Order came to $408, credit card was charged $585 (maybe they charge an extra penalty for not being American? Lol). By the time I paid customs and taxes I have paid over $800! After reading other reviews now I'm scared that I'm going to end up getting damaged parts. Was going to order my carbon fiber hood from them but def not now!

Terrible experience! Would not buy neither recommend this website or business. Purchased a MAP sensor for my vehicle and at the time of purchase was not told P. O. boxes are not good for shipping addresses. When I realized the issue, called carrier immediately but was told I couldn't do any changes on the shipment myself or either pick it up at any of there locations. ONLY shipper can do changes. So I called CARID and an agent said problem was fixed and that I was to receive the part next day. TOTALLY a BIG LIE! Called them back day after and requested to cancel order and get my money back. They told me I was to wait to receive shipment and have it delivered back to them in order to receive a REFUND. After arguing for MINUTES agent said to me that she was able to get me a REFUND as soon as they were able to track the shipment back to their warehouse. But what she really did was to reverse back the shipment but no notes on getting my REFUND... If I knew all the BAD reviews they have wouldn't consider them as an option in the beginning. Had the impression they were a pretty respectful company. AGAIN... DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE OR BUSINESS.

WORST COMPANY

I've never had a more horrible experience with online shopping as I had with CarID. Honestly, I spoke to numerous customer service reps and never have I witnessed such negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction. Either this company does not care about the authority it gives to their customer service specialists in order to satisfy their customers, or the reps really don't care about helping anyone but themselves. And in addition, they were negligent to inform me for the UPS charges I would have to pay because they shipped 3 insignificantly small packages separately and made my pay an addition 80$ to UPS. This entire fiasco cost me $300 for 60$ worth of parts and they basically told me "that sucks". Never purchase anything from them.

From what I see, this order was placed online without the assistance of our associates. At the checkout page the website shows an automatic disclaimer for Canada orders — a pop up window about the fees and taxes applied.

Also, as we are a US-based business, all prices are always shown in US dollars. We do not advertise any currency conversions on the website for any other country, all the prices shown with $ symbols, not CAR or C$ so there should be no confusion.

In regards to providing important and accurate information to our clients, i see that our agent informed you about the international fees on 5/14/2020, the next day order was placed. Again, the disclaimer and information about the international fees was provided on our end via email on 5/15/2020. On 5/19/2020 you were informed about international fees by our representative one more time.

CARID was not up front with the product they sold me. I bought a set of wheels and tires from them. They told me that they could mount and balance the wheels and tires and installed TPS sensors. I had the original sensor sensors from Toyota Tacoma at home. I did not needed their sensors. But they told me they will give me a good price if I bought them from them. I agree to buy them. When I install the wheels and tires on my truck the Low air tire light came on. I called them and explain to them that the Low air tire light came on. That is when I find out that I needed to take my truck to a tire shop or dealer to adjust the TPS sensor. Also they told that they will not pay for the TPS sensor adjustment. I was very disappointed because now I have to incur in expenses and time to get my truck to run properly. I wish I new this before and I would not had buy them the TPS sensor. Instead I would have install mine.

Return issues

I ordered 4 tires and they were the same but one was a completely different size out of the 4 I have called several times and was told I would get an email with a return slip so I can return the odd tire/Miss matched tire, That was on Thursday and I have not received any return email like I was told numerous amount of times I ended up having to buy another tire from them Untill I was hoping to get my money back in growing impatient and will be reporting this to bbb if I do not hear anything Tommorrow this photo is the odd tire from the other three which are all 16 inch wheels, this one as you can see is a 18, please return my money the other picture is a picture of the other tires that are now on my car I was only able to install the three

These guys make it so hard to return an item. I ordered a vanity part for my f250 and it doesn't look like the photo. I never used it and it took me 2 hours of waiting and bs to get a return going. 10 days later and I still haven't gotten the paperwork for the return. Just spent another hour with a guy who now says it will be resent, that they sent it a ways back... waste of time and not at all what they say on the website about "easy returns"

Brake kit

Terrible customer service! Took two weeks to receive order it was incomplete missing a Front brake rotor. Got nothing but run around and headaches a month later I still don't have the part that I need after talking with three different employees and keeping me on the phone for an hour each time! They have my money and did not give me all the parts I was due. Absolute robbery! So far no call back from manager just a run around stalling had to buy a missing router from another company to complete the job. Employees were totally unapologetic. Never again!

Stay away from this site. As much as i hate to say it, buy from amazon, or better yet buy local. Ive ordered 3 times, spent thousands with them and had issues on every single order. From not recieving what i ordered, receiving damaged products when i finally did get item, told multiple different stories about the issues to being called a liar. I wouldnt have given it one star but it wouldnt let me do a review had i not picked a star.

Beware of shipping charges appearing to be $ 0 and changing at the moment order is placed to $15. They would not let me cancel order 30 secs after placing it or all the next day. I called repeatedly to try to reach someone in person since they were in CA supposedly I eventually reached someone I believe on the east coast first thing in the morning. Yet they said they didn't have time to cancel the order. The name of the site and the email addresses kept changing. I ordered a mop on the site ToolsID but have had to deal with this company. CarsID. When they finally agreed to let me return the order they only sent one UPS return form although they sent it in 2 packages and I told them that. My guess is now they will say it is too late anc I have missed a window.

You won't receive your order, you won't receive a refund, they will refuse to let you speak to a manager! Several weeks of waiting on the phone for ever to get no answers from rude employees, No response to your emails! It's like chasing someone down the street that stole your wallet.

Will have to wait 35 days for a dispute on my credit card to process, which means I will have to wait another month to get the product I need for my vehicle. Gives you a real good idea of how much they like ripping people off for products they admit hasn't shipped, and ZERO reason as to why it hasn't.

I also love the cute little responses they leave on here like they care and will make it right. They don't and they won't!

This company is a stealing scam!

I ordered a carbon fiber hood. That plus shipping $980 When I receive it it was damage. I tried to return it but the customer service people flat out refused! I'm out almost $1000 and a damaged hood sitting in my room. These people do not take care of there customers. There sure fast at taking your money but once they have that, your nothing to them. These people are a fraud! I'm telling everyone reading this review. Buyer beware! Worst company ever. Spend your money somewhere else. Worst customer service ever!

Carbon fiber hoods are usually delivered via Freight Delivery, and it is always recommended to inspect the product upon its delivery to locate any damage. In case the damage is located, the delivery bill has to be signed "damaged". We on our end will initiate the damage claim with the shipping carrier and process replacement or full amount of refund upon the completion of the claim.

In the even when the damage was not located upon delivery, but afterwards - it is recommended to report the damage to the shipping carrier by asking them to sign the delivered merchandise as "damaged" in their system. This will help us to initiate the damage claim with the shipping carrier on our end and process a replacement or full amount of refund upon completion of the claim.

I WISH I WOULDVE READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING OVER $2000 OF RIMS FROM CARID. THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THE WHEELS ARE GOING TO SHIP IN MAYBE A MONTH. I ORDER LESS THAN 3 DAYS AGO, THEY WONT CANCEL THE ORDER. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THEY CANCEL THE ORDER IS JASONS EXACT WORDS.
