Bad Business
January 27, 2024

I have been a customer for years. My card carries a small balance of $1200 on what was a $6000 available credit limit until yesterday. I have never received a negative reporting from this company and made all my payments as agreed. They decided to lower my credit limit to $1300 with a $1200 balance dropping my credit score by 13 points. This is horrible business to someone who has paid them well for over 5 years. I will be taking my business elsewhere Care Credit/Synchrony Bank. You should treat your customers better. Shame on you.

Get the balance, make payments arrangements to be done with payments before the time allotted. Payments aren't coming out, then the weekend before my birthday, the entire balance is taken. Chat with the reps (I had to speak to three of them.) that LIE and say I chose "statement balance". I did not, in order to to make these payment arrangements you have to choose "different amount" for the one-time payment and "other amount " for auto-pay to enter in the amount you want to be deducted. I ask can this be deposited back into my account, no, the check takes 2-3 weeks to get to me. Most people are paid bi-weekly, and this payment can take over a pay-period to receive. Your account for Care Credit has little info on it. They don't record payments due to be taken out. There's no confirmation of the refund check. The first rep didn't even process the refund, they said they would and that this refund will have the minimum payment amount deducted from it. I had to speak to the second one who immediately ended the chat without answering how the refund would have confirmation, they said this would be a full refund. Does this mean I will be hit with a late payment fee? Then the third rep was also in a hurry but I got the answer, the only confirmation is the verbal or written communication in chat, there does not seem to be an option for a transcript of the chat. This is a large payment that takes over a week to receive with no clear tracking or written guarantee. The payment was categorized under "other payment NA" and not "statement balance " like the representatives communicated. I am very unsure and uncomfortable with this incident. I will be contacting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as I see customer satisfaction or record keeping since their 2013 lawsuit has not been a priority.

Ruining my life
January 26, 2024

I've used care credit before for smaller procedures (less than $1500) and had no problems. Then I got older and procedures are easy more expensive now. My bill was $*******+ so if course I had no choice but to apply for care credit. Got approved for 10k. It's awesome to have a choice to pay a bill without interest. However, my memory isn't as great as it used to be and totally forgot when the "interest free" party would end. They didn't didn't me a notice that it was ending and if they did, they buried it where I didn't see it. My bill came in and was charged nearly $6000 in interest! THANK YOU CREDIT KARMA FOR HELPING ME RUIN MY LIFE

Care credit is a ripoff
January 26, 2024

My bill keeps going higher even though I make my payments. You cannot bring the amount down if they charge you more each month than what you pay. 100% a ripoff and NEVER get this card.

Rip off
January 25, 2024

My daughter took a care credit out for my dog who needed emergency surgery or would have died. I have been paying the monthly payment only to find out her bill has gone up not down. They charge 45.00 mth interest if the bill is not paid off in full. Should have read the reviews first but it was an emergency and didn't think about it. I would never recommend care credit to anyone! Plz read reviews on it, it should be illegal what they are doing to consumers! Her limit was 2000 something and it's now 3100, after paying monthly payments. There are many many reviews I found on it that has done the same thing to other consumers!

I have had this credit card for years, like more than 10 years! And now after more than ten years, they want to cancel my card because they can't verify my identity! It is the me, the same person with no name legal name changes. I have never had this kind of issue, not even with government and legal documents. They make ridiculous demands to identify yourself such as taking photos or video of self and they have about 3 options to pick from. Well, I did the photo option and they CANCELED my card because they said they could not verify me as the actual cardholder. They also wouldn't update my address correctly after calling more than once about it and I was not getting any statements. The email they would send with the bill had no billing address and would not even allow me to log in. Basically, my options were very limited to be able to make payments. Why? How are you going to make cardholders jump through hoops to make a payment willingly? Do you want to get paid? It makes no sense at all and why such a high level of security? To the point that it is very flawed and doesn't work because I am the person I say I am, yet you have me as not able to verify my person?

Disgusting
January 4, 2024

I had a credit limit of $6000 that I got in April 25,2023. They gave me 60 months to pay. I already paid $3000 as of December 2023. They then ran another credit check on me and said I didn't have enough high balance on my report. They dropped my limit to $3270 which now looks like I used 100% of $3270 which dropped my credit score-59 points. I reported them to the BBB.

I made a payment to my care credit acct and it said in writing that it would post that day. They lied. It takes 24-48 hours to post. When I called they told me it's written somewhere in the policy. Ok. Then why say something contradicting on payment page? Never trust credit card companies. Theyre all liars

Disgusting People!
January 3, 2024

I made arrangements with this company to pay. Paid all of it and now they are hounding me for the rest of the money which was total interest.
Their foreign language people they have are disgusting.
I had a bad heart attack and talking to these people make my heart race so bad. I'm trying to get by on very little and they get their jollies out of upsetting people.
I paid for 9 years.
Don't even use this company.

Scam
December 20, 2023

They give you credit and you use it (cause you need medical help) and then after that they REDUCE the amount you were approved out of the blue for to make you over your balance. Get a credit card you'll get better rates and better service. I wish I could go back. I will never use this scam of a company again. The US should be ashamed they allow these practices to even take place legally.

Their customer service is horrible. I had an issue with them and instead of trying to help me, they did not try to do their due diligence to take care of me as a customer. Do not recommend.

DO NOT GET THIS CARD!
December 13, 2023

I have been a CareCredit cardholder for over 5 years now. I had used it one time for a total of $3000. I paid the entire balance off in 6 months. Making more than minimum payments each month. I had a credit limit of $10k. I keep the card for emergencies so it has remained a zero dollar balance. Little did I know, NOR do they tell you that at any point they can close it due to inactivity. Appreciate the companies want to make money so charge me an annual fee. Nope. No warning. No calls. No emails. Nothing. I found out when I was switching phones and went to sign back in to my app. This company has so many complaints about it...if you have an emergency use it. Keep a balance. Never pay it off and dont have any credit changes or they will close it for that I read. I would highly recommend going somewhere else. Dont listen to me though, do your homework before applying.

Billing is Terrible.
December 13, 2023

Our dentist stated this was a zero percent interest credit card. We used it to pay for my wife's dental surgery. The first statement came in late in August and stated we owed a minimum of $30 by Sept 1. I sent them $1500. I did not get another bill till September 25 and it stated that I owed a $30 late fee and that I needed to send a minimum of $60 by Oct 1. This time I sent them $1060. On Oct 22, I received a bill that stated I owed another late fee and I needed to send a minimum of $60 by November 1. I sent them $560. On November 21, I received a bill that stated I owed only $500, I sent them a check for $500. Today I received a bill that says I owe another $30 late fee, the statement showed the last $500 mysteriously posted on Dec 2. I called Care Credit and their automated system states it is cancelling the last late charge. When I talk to a real person, they cannot confirm that my balance is now zero. I had the funds to pay for the dental surgery upfront, our dentist told us how good this company is. Never Again! This seems like a scam to late charge people no matter how much they pay.

This "company" stinks! We got CareCrecit for one of our dogs, who we had to let go over the Rainbow Bridge. Had a $1,800 CL, which is what we needed. Been making regular payments, was late ONE DAY on one payment and went to make a payment today and they cut the CL by half! This company is nothing but a greedy POS! We had an emergency with our other dog and that card came in handy, but now they just suck!

Horrible service
December 9, 2023

Every time I call CareCredit support, they never assist or help, if you forget to make one payment, they will not reimburse you or even want to help you. When you have questions regarding your bill, they just give you the runaround.
They are rude and I've called a few times to talk to different people no one ever helps.
The interest is off the roof never forget to pay it before your promotion ends. Otherwise you're screwed.
Never again will I used this credit card.

Unprofessional!
November 28, 2023

I've had CareCredit for many years and it has been great until Recently. My account was closed based on a "review"...which ultimately means, a portion of deferred interest was not paid in full by their due date, so now I'm looked upon as not likely to pay account at all. That is RIDICULOUS! Payments on my end have always been paid on time, and I have always exceeded the minimum due per month. There was no communication prior to closing the account, and I believe that is absolutely unprofessional of them. AND of course, "there's nothing they can do now". This all definitely left a very sour taste in my mouth... I will never recommend this card to anyone I know. It's not worth the headache.

Awful
November 23, 2023

Have to have the entire card number to pay. My wallet was stolen 4 days before payment was due. I tried to set up automatic payments prior because it's such an archaic hassle --- absolutely no customer service whatsoever either.

Never ever going with synchrony again. I have never had a missed payment in all my years.
