I paid more than minimal, on time and never was never miss charged. Read the terms and don't be surprised if a fee applies, if you don't follow the terms.

These people disgust me. They changed our credit card and then without warning made it difficult to follow the "promotional period" of previous charges. Ended up charging $1,000 in interest when the promotional period was "1 year no interest". They got us. They got us good.

Bulls%*t
April 10, 2019

I've had this card for about a year. Went from a $800 limit to $1600. Never had issues with being charged late fees or anything. I was really happy with this card... until today! Went online to check something in my account and found they had reduced my limit by almost half. No warning, no explanation, NOTHING! I've NEVER been late on a payment, most times paying more than what was asked and even made more than one payment per month and this is what I get for that. I've been nothing less than a perfect customer and this is what they do to me. The explanation I got when I called to question it was that they checked my credit (without my knowledge) and decided to lower my limit. Because they cut my credit in half it also dropped my credit score thanks for screwing me! I don't even know what they found to justify lowering it. There's nothing different on my report that when I initially applied for the card. So, I get punished for being an excellent customer. Nice going and way to take care of your customers!

Customer service reps hang up on you. They continue to say they dont hear you. They close your account after you catch back up after being with them for years upon years. What a horrible business decision they made to do that. I do hope they go out of business and i dont wish that upon anybody

It used to be if you paid a credit card company off, they viewed you as a valued customer. Not CareCredit. They reward you by closing your account and blame you. Anyone reading these reviews can see they are not a good credit company. I hope they go out of business.

I have been a care credit customer for a few years. I basically used them for some large dental bills that I did pay off within the 12 month period. I just received a letter stating they will be closing my account at the end of the month. I called and asked why and they said due to inactivity. I said I would like to keep it open as I will be incurring about $15,000 in dental bills in the next 60 days and wanted to use care credit. After being transferred to a supervisor (not in the United States I might add) they told me they cannot keep the card active. I guess based on my past history of paying my balance off in the 12 months I am not the customer they are looking for. Beware of this credit card company. They are only looking to give credit to someone they can totally rip off.

I had an account with care credit for almost ten years. I couldn't open it by myself so my boy friend at the time co signed. Last year he decided to claim the account was fraudulently opened using his information. You would think they would contact the PRIMARY ACCOUNT HOLDER which was me to see what was going on. Of course they didn't. I didn't know about it until I tried to go and make a payment. They then concluded their "investigation" and closed my account again without me knowing. I had to call to find all of this out.

I then contacted corporate and they didn't do anything. It's a shame bc I had this amount for so long. And yes over the years I did try to get his name taken off but I couldn't. It's just baffling that he could easily make a false fraud claim against an almost decade old account and have it closed just like that. Crazy thing is I was helping his credit all this time with this line of credit.

Care credit should be ashamed of themselves for not even contacting me about anything. I paid off the balance and will NEVER open an account with them again. I will also tell everyone else about how they treated me. I guess bc they weren't making any interest off me they didn't care anyways. Too bad bc I know lots of women who get and are interested in getting surgeries. I will not recommended care credit.

Absolute Theives
March 7, 2019

First, I used Care Credit hesitantly. I had a pair of glasses plus contact lenses which I tried to cancel. They came up with this stupid idea, which I try to avoid. I made my payments on time. Finally, the bill came down to the last $ 700. I was very happy about me coming to an end to this. I said I'm going to pay it all off in one final payment. The care credit thieves tripled my bill and said some nonsense. I told them if they will take away the interest, and they said they cant. Now I ended up having to bay about $ 4,000. For something that started at $ 1500. Please RUN when you see CARE CREDIT. Honestly, they don't deserve 1 star.

I was offered CareCredit during a dental implant procedure by the clinic and when asked for the terms they said it was no interest if paid for 12 month terms. I was approved without hesitation and charge a great deal of my procedure to this credit. I then called customer service because this offer sounded suspicious and found out that if for any chance you did not paid the full amount loaned at the end of the 12 months you will be responsible not for the balance owe but the entire loan 12 months interest. I would rather just stick to my regular credit card since the interest is similar and know I would be responsible only for the remainding balance. Don't be sucked into this deal, if you have any chance of dissafirm do it now! These lending practices are geared towards the vulnerable and naïve.

Rip off
March 3, 2019

My pmt was due 2/28 for $40, I paid $200 on 2/5 and they charged me a $27 late fee even though they posted the payment. Total crooks and a scam, run from this place.

On a "no interest if payed in full" til sep of this year. Was a day late one month and paid the $27 late fee. Somehow, 3 months later, I've accured 11$ of non promotional balance. Not sure how this is when i paid the late fee immediately. I've contacted them about this and hoping for a refund of the 11$. It makes no sense to me why I even had the interest in my account in the first place. It seems as if they are trying to pull the wool over my
Eyes to keep me owing more. Makes me feel iffy about trusting them. Love the promotional perks but seriously. Where did this hidden interest charge come from? The fact that the "interest" would only be like $0.69 but the min interest charge is $2. What a rip off!

SCAM, RIP OFF!
February 13, 2019

Regret ever signing up for this rip off. They know people who use this piece of crap card are in need and have no choice so they take advantage of you. I passed my promotion and now they charge me $28 in interest fee charges after every payment even though i pay way above my minimum payments. This isnt how credit cards are suppose to work. This company should be closed down. Also worst customer service. Now i will be in a worst situation trying to pay this card off rather than if i just paid my original bill out of pocket. Thanks for nothing "care" credit.

Worst card ever!
February 11, 2019

This is absolutely the worst card and company to do business with, ever! Do NOT sign up for this card as they are a complete rip-off. My interest went from $2 a month to $61 a month. I refuse to pay on it ever again and they can put this card where the sun doesn't shine!

Predatory sneaky tactics
February 11, 2019

Preying on people with absurd interest rates and policies that go unnoticed until its too late. If you do not pay off your ENTIRE loan within the "promotional time limit" they will charge you 27% interest (maximum allowed by law) on your ORIGINAL LOAN AMOUNT. Not your current balance... This means that you could have only $10 remaining on your account and if it isn't paid by the time the promotion expires, they will charge you hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. I borrowed $2,500 for an emergency dental operation. Had only $300 remaining and suddenly they charged me $530 in interest Driving my balance to over $800 when I only had $300 left to pay... This should be illegal...

Ripoff
February 9, 2019

If you don't pay off this card within the promotional time you will pay interest on the entire original purchase amount. So if you even owe $5 on your balance at the end of the promotional period you will pay hundreds of dollars in interest. If you can't pay this card of within the allotted amount of time do not get this card. Matter of fact don't get this horrible card. It takes advantage of people who need emergency medical treatment
