Last Follow-up: 12/12/23

Received my product today; thankfully, no duty tax assessed. Still waiting on the additional 10% discount credited to my Credit card used (per owner/CEO).

I was willing to change rating to a five-star but upon opening the product received is not what is shown on the website. The Website shows a car cover being a form/tight fitting. Car Cover received is baggy and not form fitting and allows for wind to blow under the cover and insects / rodents and such to crawl within/under. In addition, under "details" it states that "the car cover is guaranteed to fit your car perfectly and snugly." Not true; when in place, is extremely baggy! Lastly, the leads/straps are frayed. Because the product is not what was shown or illustrated on the website, I have no choice, but to reduce my rating back to a one star; and to never recommend or buy another product from Car Cover.

Total disappointment!

Follow-up: 12/5/23 I received a call from the owner of the vendor noted below. Owner demonstrated genuine concern to ensure 100% customer satisfaction by offering to provide an additional 10% discount on the product ordered and to reimburse me for the total amount of duty tax if assessed prior to final delivery as item was mailed internationally vice USPS Priority Mail. As a result of the call from the owner vice a customer service rep, I have upgraded my rating from a 1-star to a 3-star. Will follow-up with the owner once package has cleared customs in Milan. If no duty assessed, I will upgrade my rating to a 4-star vice 5-star as product mailing results in a significant time delay to final destination.

Initial Review: The website carcover.com leads one to believe that the vendor is based in the United States and the product ships via USPS. As military serving Overseas with an address of APO AE. USPS mailing is critical as shipping from outside the U.S. results in international mailing (3 - 4 weeks transit) and product is subject to duty tax before delivery. Willing to change rating providing that cover arrives 8-10 days and no duty assessed on product

I purchased a Platinum level car cover for my 1953 Chevy truck after speaking with the people at CarCovers.com. I explained that the vehicle would be spending a great portion of time outdoors and needed the best protection possible so they recommended this cover.

It has rained twice here and both times the cover leaked and caused water to pool on the bed cover under the truck cover.

I called the company and spoke to Shawn and he was telling me that the cover breathes and is supposed to have some seepage. I explained to him that this was not seepage but some kind of a leak to cause the pooling of water below the cover on the bed cover.

I also told him that I have had many covers for my vehicles over the years and they never leaked and caused pooling of the water below the cover but he states this is normal. In what world does a cover leak water and is still being sold as waterproof.

Well, the bottom line is they refuse to do anything to resolve this issue and I feel if you are representing a product to do certain things and it doesn't then they should stop stating that it does this at their website.

I would not recommend this company to you.

I opened the box and immediately (5 minutes) called the customer service number because it did not fit, even with the mirrors retracted (see photo). They said the 30 days were past, no exceptions. They don't guarantee their products fit.

I have an Infiniti FX 50 S that has roof racks on it. These covers wear down quickly at the roof rack area. The fabric essentially disintegrates. This is the 2nd cover I've bought from this site and will not be doing so again.

After researching car covers for weeks, I was discouraged by the negative reviews on so many of the available car covers. Even premium comptators to carcovers.com. I recently bought a new Lexus IS 350 F Sport Design and went with carcovers.com and I could not be happier that I did. I purchased the Premium Shield cover and it is just that. Premium. The lining is ultra soft and the outer material looks like it could withstand reentry into the Earth's atmosphere! Not to mention it is a perfect fit for my car. I could not be more pleased. Highly recommended.

You would be better off duck taping trash bags together. This cover it really bad, I have had cheaper covers last much longer. I leave my truck for three months at a time when I go overseas for work. When I came back the cover was completely shredded! Do not buy!

Carcovers.com is a sneaky, deceitful company! I ordered the top of the line Platinum Shield car cover from them since I wanted the best outdoor protection for my car. I purchased the cover with the understanding that some "moisture" could get through the cover. To me, moisture doesn't mean allowing enough water to penetrate the cover to create pools of water to sit on my car underneath it, which is exactly what happened and it defeats the purpose of the cover. I had the cover on the car for only one week, within that time frame, the pools of water then attracted earwigs, which then gave birth under the cover and were all over my car, along with other insects. I was horrified. I contacted the company and they did nothing, they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. I essentially flushed $200 down the toilet for a product which did nothing to protect my car from the elements, which was its purpose as they so boldly claim. All the cover is good for is acting as a very expensive dustcover for an indoor car, it offers zero outdoor protection. It is a major waste of money and I'm only lucky I got it on sale and didn't have to pay full price for it, but throwing away $200 is bad enough. Do not be fooled by their false advertising, this cover does nothing it claims to do for outdoor car protection. Not only that, but I ordered their gust strap kit and they supply very poor quality tarp clips, one broke the moment I put it on. I had to go to Home Depot the next day and buy a pack of replacement tarp clips. The gust strap kit is also a rip-off for what you're getting, you can buy your own better quality tarp clips and bungee cords for way less and it will do the exact same thing. I spent $200 and the only things I got which were usable were three of four tarp clips and two bungee cords, everything else was useless garbage, does that sound like a good investment? There's absolutely no way the positive reviews on this cover are legitimate since it can't even perform its most basic of functions. Buyers beware, this is not a cover suitable for outdoor use, you will waste your money. This is an overpriced, low quality dustcover, nothing more. Keep in mind carcovers.com and carcover.com are two different companies. The one you need to watch out for is carcovers, with an "s". Shame on them!
