I am not big on negative reviews, but here we are. They sold me a used lemon. We did a walk thru on the pickup day and there was about 5 things wrong with the camper. They pretended to fix everything including the major leak in the wall ac unit that leaks all over the master bed everytime you use it. The sales manager told me in the parking lot on my pick up day that I could bring the camper back with in 45 days and have my list of repairs done. I brought it back in and they gave me a very large estimate for the repairs, I was told the warranty didn't exist because I didn't buy the warranty. I was later told he was new and he was mistaken. DO NOT BUT FROM THEM THERE SALES PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST.
We purchased a brand new unit and within the first year had more headaches than joy from our purchase. Kelly (aka store manager) is a joke to deal with. Says he agrees with our dissatisfaction and thinks we should pursue taking it to a corporate level and that was a joke. We have had a nightmare of an experience. We will never purchase from camping world again
We bought a Coleman camper from camping world in Marion North Carolina. In April 2023. Brought it home for three days. It rained it started leaking from the ceiling took it back. They had it for three weeks to repair. The leaks. Found several voids. We brought it back home had it for about three weeks when we had severe rain and the camper flooded inside. They found another hole in the wind guard antenna this camper was made by Keystone. Don't recommend very poor quality so now we're stuck with a brand new camper that has been flooded sitting on their lot for who knows how long with rain dripping in. I know that their motto is if you're not happy, we're not happy it should be if you're not happy we don't give a crap.

Camping world Windham Maine or any camping world do not do business with them! Daryl salesman Windham Maine location liar! Loan woman dez I believe her name was? Covered in homemade tattoos! Clearly couldn't get a loan for a ham sandwich herself? Trying to extort monies from me with lies! Dez and Daryl horrible people
We bought our camper in Piraeus, Oklahoma from salesman Trent Allen. He was very professional, knew the business had a great personality and continues to check on us periodically to make sure all is OK! We will definitely use Trent again to purchase our next camper. Dana harvey, Mena, Arkansas.
Wrong figures were present on my contract.lied to me getting turned down on loan so they could use Bank of America as a platform to stick me with 11% interest for 20 yrs.Refused to adjust the contract with proper figures as Bank of America was working with me on my interest.I never signed a contract for the 10,000 warranty they added. When explaining problems to manager he played music on the phone when he didn't like what I was saying.all I asked for was the proper principal on my paperwork so I could move forward and they refused.Customer service does nothing! After going around in circles for 2 months Melisa at the top of customer service blurted out WE are not lowering your interest rate and she worked in customer service and they are not a bank? I only asked for the correct figures and they got Mad! Finance guy lied and said my warranty would only be 80/ month more pressure I said ok. Policy got off to my lender and my payment didn't go down 80? Matt said well you just got 7 yrs off your loan by us taking off that policy of 10,000 I never signed for? The van was advertised at 127,000. I'm sure old Matt would give me anywhere near that figure on a trade in when he puts the full amount to the DMV not the advertised price I paid but had to pay taxes on an extra 46,000 of overinflated value.
Asked 3 weeks ago about generator service and they showed me a sheet of paper that had Diesel Generator service, said I would call and set up an appointment, left a vm two days and no return call, went in to schedule the appointment. I asked again if the service included all filters, oil, fuel and cleaning the spark arester, the gal from parts overhead the service writer( apparently new) and brought out the cummins onan generator kit which says it included everything. Showed up today 15 minutes early to get paper work done and was told it should take an hour or so, I said great as I was waiting on it. After two hours, I asked for status and she said she would go check on tech, she came back apologizing that it wasn't done yet and he was letting the engine cool, I said what are you talking about since it was a generator service which is in the front of the pusher and I had not run it. He was planning to change the engine oil, it was a cluster from then on. After 4 hours, they tell me they are waiting on O'Reilly to deliver oil and I go, you have the 15w30 sitting on the shelf and she gives me the funny look. The original service writer disappears and another young lady who remembered me making the appointment starts to finish the ticket and I ask again about fuel filter, not sure we do those, as we don't really service diesel genrators, I go what? Anyway, by now I am boiling mad that they wasted the entire day and only changed the oil. I get home and crawl under it and it has same filter on it and the dipstick shows a quart low. The last service writer apologized again and said her hands were tied, I guess so.
As I was leaving, another gentlemen that had a 5th wheel and I got to visiting and he says his trailer had been there 10 months and they still had not fixed it.
Last time I will be in Camping screw you World.
After my husband passed away, I needed to trade a class c motor home for a travel trailer that would be more manageable for me. I selected the one I wanted, and made the trade. The salesman, not the finance manager, sold me an extended warranty, "that covers everything, and is available nationwide". Since my husband was no longer around to fix things, and the salesman said that a mobile repair tech would come to me, again " natiinwide", I agreed to the additional $3000. Ive fried to use the warranty twice, and both times I was told I had to bring the trailer in. Which for me is a little over 200 miles. A mobile tech, which the no longer have, would have only come approx 60 miles, but again, they no longer have that. I feel like I was deliberately lied to to take advantage of my widowed status and to increase the salesman's commission. I asked for a refund and was offered a prorated amount, which is substantially less than the cost of the estimated repairs.
This is the absolute WORST service department I have experienced! We paid these people THOUSANDS of dollars to fix problems that they never fixed! In one instance we bought all new tires for our RV from them, brought it back because they were vibrating and they assured us that they were perfect, installed correctly and guaranteed our safety. Guess what? One of them blew out on the highway because it WAS NOT installed correctly and nearly cost us our lives! DO NOT take your RV here for service! Go to Bur$#*!! They are MUCH MORE professional, honest and do the job right!
The 2022 Thor Magnitude BT 36 motorhome my wife and I bought from Liberty Lake in Washington state last year for $ 287,,00,00, was junk, It had so many serious problems wrong with i we lost count., The sales department made us all kinds of promises until they had our money, then they referred. Every one of our issues the service department. Two toilets had to be replaced, one sink, one bathroom faucet was leaking all over the floor. You have to kick the recliners down to close them. The 1/2-bathroom door had a big chip out of it, so they replaced with one that is to small for the door jam and wont close and stay shut. The dish satellite was installed incorrectly, the canopy has an arm that sticks out when retracting., The wall sensors for the toilets levels do not work, the valve to flush the gray and black waste tanks are installed incorrectly. The 50 amp power cable skin is pulling away from the plug in and you can see the wires. We left the state on our first big trip, the temperature was 75 degrees and the windshield started fogging up, found out that the windshield was delaminating. Theirs plenty more to tell you about but what's more important for you to know about their service department policy's or lack of their of. First off the service manager is a liar, telling customers work was preformed that wasn't done Their process for ordering parts thar are being replaced for warrantee sucks and takes to long. They will take care of a cash paying customer first because they make way more money then warrantee word. Also, getting appointments to get work done could and has taken up to months. As soon as we get to ware we are going we're going so sell this unit. So if you don't care about loosing your $#*! don't heed our warning.
Bought a 32ft camper for 30k and it was used, but they fooled us by leaving the outside fridge unplugged and really don't honor your or anyone's business at all, the outside kitchen doesn't work properly, the front axle is out of alignment I went thru three new tires going from PA to Florida in one day, the slide out on our first voyage fell apart and the leather sofa peeled apart on the first time of using it, then when I called them they wouldn't repair anything unless I run it through the insurance they make you get when you purchase it. All this happened on the first day of driving to Florida. So my advice is go anywhere else but camping world! I will never do business with them again cause now I'm stuck with a junkie camper... And I have to go through the insurance just to get the repairs done...So remember camping world is the worst place to get a camper...
I was told they would buy my camper for $18,300 at Sioux Falls, after I get it there they nit picked it a part telling me there is water damage and a piece of trim was broke. Well here is the trim that was broke because they broke it in a before and after pic when I just had it up for sale right before I took it to them. They then tried to offer me $1,500 less. If you ever have an appraisal done make sure you stay with your camper.
I had an issue with my slider. I did the best i could do to trouble shoot it with taking about almost every avenue i could get it working as I was leaving in a week to head out camping.
After multiple calls, to the dealership, and corporate, two gentlemen went above and beyond their scope of duty to help me out.
Chritopher Chapman, who has nothing to do with service, helped me organize and coordinate my service promptly.
Brian Quinn, who is InCharge of service, I believe of camping world, flew into my region scheduled me to have ethe camper on sight and he spent all day to rectify the problem. These 2 individuals went above and beyond to help me out.
It took a little presentence from me with corporate but when these 2 found out about the situation they made a bad situation turn out great.
Thank you to both of them for reaching out to me and staying on top of the issue until it was resolved.
We needed an oil change for our RV. We made an appointment. We we're told, "we'll get you in and out". After 1&1/2 hrs, my husband went to inquire. Oh, they are waiting for the oil to be delivered. What?!?! I went to speak to the manager. He did not introduce himself. I introduced myself. I told him that communication to his client is extremely important. Making sure you have the part or, in this case, oil before the appointment is crucial. He barely apologized. I asked him his name, I shook his hand rather than the other way around. They charged over $420 for an oil change! That took 2&1/2 hours. Never again Camping World. Poor customer service and way overpriced.
I think these people would sell their soul for the Almighty dollar. I wanted to sell my 5th wheel and they offer a fair price so I took it to the Alvarado, TX. Location. Upon inspection they said there was $11,000 dollars worth of damage. I went ahead and submitted an insurance claim and the insurance adjuster came back with a final number of $14,900. I'll be danged if the estimate from Camping World jumped to $17,000. They added some writing to the hand written estimate to justify the increase. I will never step foot in a Camping World location again and I would advise everyone else to look at some other options. I know there are reputable companies out there and Camping world is not one of them. BEWARE!
They have a camper you want, you get there all those many miles away for your appointment time at 6:00 but oh they just sold it right before you got there it's in the back lot that you were in but wait it's in the front lot but wait it's in the back lot to look at but not go in because it's sold my opinion is the trailer wasn't even there it was a lure to get you in there, all those many miles away I am f****** pissed and that was ignorant my experience sucked $#*!. If it was there they should not have sold it till I got there on my appointment time to look at it that was ignorant but that's not the case the camper wasn't even there.
We purchased a camper from Camping World last year. Thought we were getting a good deal. When it was delivered there were issues but when we called they said they couldn't get to us for 4 months which is ridiculous we just bought it. Now we want to bump up to a class c and they are trying to say it's not worth what we paid for it. Stay away from this chain. Go to an independent company.
Customer service at Camping World of Chattanooga was awful. My husband and I who were prepared to purchase a camper were not allowed to go into the camping area without someone supervising us, without giving them our name our phone number and additional information. This is the most unfriendly service I have ever had. We will not be purchasing a camper there nor will we recommend purchasing a camper there. Apparently adults are not adult enough to walk the grounds alone without being supervised.
Nothing Camping World does will improve it. If anything, they have gotten rapidly worse over the last 6 years. If you give them your phone number, their sales people will harass the cr@p out of you in phone calls (at a minimum 3 calls per week - and we had our fill after 8 weeks) and don't bother blocking their # because they will max out your voice mail. They tried showing us one of the "top of the line" trailers and it was a POC. The molding was coming off the door frames; the towel bars in the bathroom had pulled out of the wall and were left laying on the bath counter; the Roman Shade in the living area had pulled out of the wall and was broken, left laying on the table. Just shoddy workmanship and the dealer did NOTHING to fix it and make it look presentable to customers, yet it was $13k higher priced than a competitor. NOPE! Camping World is nothing more than used car salesman tactics pushing a cr@p product.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
