Bought a 2021 travel trailer in July of 2022. Made an appointment in September of 22 to have it checked out before winter and they claim that they checked everything out, but didn't and charged me over $400. This was supposed to be a free service. It took him 5 weeks to do absolutely nothing to my camper. Used it for a month an the AC went out in 23. Tried several times to make an appointment no return calls, left messages front desk messages with supervisors, and nobody returned my calls. Had to replace AC unit. Still have not heard from anyone from camping world. Service department wouldn't let me make an appointment for any of the " free service calls" that were left which were 4. Told me I had to talk to a supervisor, which they never returned any of my calls... Obviously, when they checked out everything supposedly in 2022, which took them 5 weeks, they didn't check the AC unit because it was only running on 60% all that time... Stay far away from kaysville camping world...
I wanted some upgrades on a 2016 rv recently purchased. 10,000 dollars later and the job looks as if I did it in my garage! Very disappointing because I trusted and felt like they were looking out for me as a new rv owner, I was wrong! New kitchen cabinet and sink, 6,000 dollars and left with no cabinet doors. I started with them but ended up with none! New sofa and chair, 1700 dollars later and there is a 3" gap on both sides of my sofa! Chair I enjoy! To summarize, I was an exceptionally patient customer with exceptionally mediocre results! Never again!
I'm not going to leave any names because camping world may screw these people even more but they are the worst to do business with! You buy a brand new camper and can't even use it because you have to take it back three times to fix it, so there goes your summer. Then the following summer more problems then You take back and there goes that summer! They say they will give you half of what you paid for it! Wth! Certain things that were wrong could have harmed my daughter, son in law and grandbaby! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I would have gave zero stars but no option to do that.
Very poor service waited all day for a loan after 7 hours finally was told that be a 72 hours. I will never shop at camping world again
We just started the purchase process with our sales person, Carl Come. He was amazing! He found out our needs as well as our price range. Then he searched their inventory and found our perfect match! Then we worked out a deal that was acceptable for all. It was truly a great experience. Thank you Carl and Camping World!
I would like to say Katie was amazing and helpful when I came in she asked if I needed help finding anything and she helped me find exactly what I needed
I bought my unit brand new Forest River 280RTX in May of 2022. It's been in and out of Camping World in and out since I purchased it. Recently, my unit has been at Camping World Fort Pierce since Jan 2,2023 for warranty work to be done. I was able to finally see the unit a couple weeks ago for the first time and the water damage I brought it in for has become worse. And instead of trying to offer a buy back and refund me the entire purchase price they still have it in their maintenance department sitting there. The water damage is obvious and is worse than when I dropped it off. They suggested I file an insurance claim to total the unit instead so it's back on me instead of them. Here it is almost the end of July and I still have yet to hear an update from corporate or the dealership if they are going to buy the unit back for the purchase price.
Dated July 2023…Worst customer service experience my husband and I have had in attempting to purchase (as African Americans) in many years and I am 68 yrs. Young. I DONOT NEED TO ELABORATE on the experience any further. My 1st sentence speaks for itself!
Bought a new 2023 Premier 53,000.00.First week using it ac would not stay running this after they checked everything and when doing walkthrough ac cut out and they said it was normal. Week vacation with high humidity and had to travel 20 miles each evening to stay home because of no ac. Its been in shop a week and I called yesterday at 2;00 pm and wad told all set bret will call back soon with details no call back until 6 pm when someone called and said i will leave a note by his phone still no call back. Please folks when people tell you not to buy from camping world please listen. They were awesome up to me giving them 12k down now i regret it please stay away
Camping World states the put tape on AC and its fixed. We paid for extra warranty and its still under warranty from the factory but we owe $95.00 because it is not covered. Neither warranty covered the work. Also it took Camping World over a week to put the tape on. Buyer be ware, and know you dont need to pay for the extra insurance because they dont cover anything.
Bought our dream camper last June from Camping World in Columbia,MO. Keystone Montana High Country. The shop has had our camper more than we have. 3 times back and one time over 3 months. Every time they had it nothing was ever fixed right. Started with AC which never blew hard enough to cool living area, broken closet coming apart, missing and hanging trim, inverter, bed base came apart, power cord only ran half of camper, screws all fell out when we opened the outside storage door. These should be easily fixed but when we went to
Pick it up it looked like they were fixed but they were only made to look like that. Always said nothing is wrong with AC but couldn't explain to us why it was always 15 degrees hotter in there than what the thermostat was set on. Inverter never worked so when we were taking a 6 hour trip we stopped by to have it looked at and they said it was no good and needed a new one. Of course this was 5 days out of warranty and then lied and said they had no complaints from us on that. Closet and trim were suppose to all be fixed with new stuff from warranty but came apart on our next trip. Talked to Mike Beasley manager and he informed me that we would have to purchase a new inverter ourselves that would cost us $1200. He got very hateful and disrespectful saying that I would have to call Keystone they weren't going to do anything about it. That we didn't put them together we only sell them! Called Keystone and they said Camping World service manager, Mikayla had not put any of this in her notes from these issues so they denied a new inverter. She informed me every time that she put all this stuff in her notes but when it came right down to it she had not or deleted them. Horrible customer service and a weasel of a manager. I have pictures to back up these issues. Never buy from Camping World in Columbia, MO. High pressure sales and they are only in it for the money and don't care about the customer.
I want to let everyone know about deceitful business practices at Rothschild, WI Camping World. This company will never have my business and I will let everyone know how I was treated. I've been dealing with Camping World of Rothschild, WI. I was interested in purchasing a camper, looking at possible financing but things happen and I was no longer able to purchase the camper. I put a $500 deposit, as I was told it was to used to reserve the camper. I was never told or I don't have any documentation that states that if I didn't purchase the camper my deposit would be non-refundable. After a month of waiting and three attempts/contacts, I was told I broke a "contract" (which I never signed such "contract"). I never knew who financed me, what the interest rate was, nothing! This is how the company treats customers? Tells them what you want to hear then does another.
Over 8 months in the shop for my brand new rv. They were trying to fix a leaking slide out. Ran over it with a forklift while they had it in there. Attempted to offer us 500 so we wouldn't tell anyone about our experience.
We bought a camper from Camping World in Hugo, MN. The sales person was great but the finance person was a smooth talker and the tech person barely went through the camper with us even though we had never owned one. We were there for hours and by the time we met with the finance person, we were tired and hungry and we were talked us into buyer extra Good Sam products. As first time camper owners, we knew nothing. I was told I could cancel within 30 days, so we agreed. Later when I got home I found out we didn't need most of the stuff and tried to cancel the products. That was a nightmare and after numerous calls and emails, I never received a refund. Also, when I looked at the paperwork, the base cost of the camper was $1000 more than what the sales persons on quoted. When I questioned them, they had some explanation that didn't make sense.
Recently our battery overcharged and cost me $300 (not covered by any of the extra protection items we bought) I guess we were supposed to do some maintenance on it and watch the charge. No one old us anything about that and we received no information on the battery at all. We have manuals on everything else, including a digital multimeter (I found when looking for battery info) that we were never even given.
We have had several issues with the camper and have taken it to Camping World in Eau Claire. The techs there have been great.
Brought our camper in for repair because a tree fell on it, when I called to schedule pickup the Camping World at 5535 Camp Rd in Hamburg, NY informed me that after they repaired it they parked it under a tree during a windstorm that we knew was coming for several days and guess what? Another tree, that tree fell on it as a result, $1,000 worth of my personal belongings were destroyed because they didn't even bother to tarp the damaged roof or waterproof it in anyway, and the camper was totalled due to the additional water damage they are directly responsible for! Now I don't have a camper, the first camper my 5yr old son ever went camping in. Service managers response was basically not our trailer not our problem! To top it off now they are demanding almost $900 for parts I will never see or receive! A company that makes $7 BILLION/YEAR! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAMPER TO CAMPING WORLD OF HAMBURG NEW YORK, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
They ended up lying to the insurance company and charging fake storage fees to get paid so they literally committed insurance fraud
Don't let them fast talk you. We purchased a camper from them and while we are satisfied with the camper, we are upset at ourselves and their process. They have hidden charges and key things they say to trap you into paying for things you don't need. DON'T BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WITHOUT ASKING FOR PRICE. DON'T BUY THE GAP WITHOUT ASKING FOR PRICE. DON'T GET THE TOW PACKAGE, YOU CAN GET IT CHEAPER ON AMAZON, AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...ARGUE WITH THEM ABOUT THE PREP FEE. THEY LITERALLY CHARGE FOR WASHING THAT CAMPER AND CLEANING UP THE INSIDE AND WALKING YOU THROUGH BEFORE YOU LEAVE! These are all things they add to the price before charging you taxes. This drives up the amount of purchase so that the salesman get a better commission. I have attached proof of purchase invoice on what we paid. I made notes on the side of each cost. When you purchase a car the dealership cleans that thing up for you before you leave...FOR FREE! Fight this charge, it is totally unnecessary. If I had known we were being charged this, I would have walked out until they decided to give it to me for free, or not sell a camper. They did not go over this invoice before we left and it was our mistake for not making them. Had I saw these charges we would have haggled. I think they might do this every time. They use key phrases like "do you need hitch work?" DON'T SAY YES. If you say yes, you are getting that expensive hitch and paying about 300.00 more than one on Amazon. This dealership was in Breaux Bridge, LA. We did not do our research before we went. Had we done our research we would not have gone to Camper World. They have a very low rating. Do your research DON'T BE US. We will tell everyone of our experience, and will discourage anyone we know from going to a Camper World.
The horrible score in service is with corp delaying and unethical practices not service staff. Example: Stalling for warranty work. Always need more pictures (taken by employees to start with) for approval. Forest River is aware of their poor practices and reviewing. Fingers crossed they reap what they sow at some point
Camping World fly's the largest, most beautiful, exotic flag, but going by there today, the 4th of July, every part of their operation, store, service, sales were all open, not giving their employees the day off. What greedy hypocrites.
Camping World sold me a pop-up camper for the price of 10K and in the end ended up adding on all this other stuff that made it come to over 13K and it was so many things wrong with it Don't listen to anything they tell you because half the stuff they added on they told me I needed because I was financing it and it wasn't true! I will never ever trust them again! The canopy was busted up The water pump was no good there was tears in the canvas, the roof vent was busted. I have receipts for all the stuff that I had to replace on it. When I went to the preview to look at it it was pouring raining but I drove five and a half hours there and I trusted them
Called camper world slide is stuck they can not fix it until for 3 months or more and we have bought the extended warranty and paid for camping reservations.please think twice before you buy camper with them.we have only used this camper 4 times.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
