Many reviews highlight issues with product quality and the perceived lack of accountability from the company, particularly regarding warranty claims and post-purchase service. While a few customers noted positive interactions with individual staff members, these instances are overshadowed by widespread dissatisfaction with sales tactics and unresolved complaints. Campingworld offer slow delivery times and then decline quidco cash back. Shop elsewhere for a cheaper deal

Camping World Woodstock is a dishonest dealership. WARNING: BUYER BEWARE!
Purchased a motor home on line, based upon salesman's description of the unit being in pristine condition. Management demanded payment in full prior to pickup in order to hold the unit so they could close the month with the sale icluded. Inspection revealed motor home was severely damaged on passenger side, missing ladder, holes in rear where ladder was once, water stained damage on interior ceiling, all interior cabinets repainted, nothing inside was original, check engine went on soon after driving from the dealership, and many other issues. They do not keep promises. Called the general manager several times to inform him of the type of people working in his shop. He never returned my calls. They take your money and screw the customer. Lower level management was informed of the salesman's dishonesty and the problems with the motor home. I was told sorry it's a used unit and you own it and hung up. A complaint was filed with Corporate and legal action is being considered. Camping World is a large organization and don't care about honoring or satisfying customers once they get your money. My suggestion is to stay far, far away from this organization and deal with smaller mom and pop type of dealers who really aim to please and stand behind the product they sell.
Worst customer service ever. Do yourself a favor and don't buy anything from Camping World unless you want poor customer service and support. They should close the company.
4 WEEKS to fix 3 small problems. While in their shop they destroyed my satelite system on my RV and said was in crushed condition upon arrival. They are liars and crooks! Their own service writer (no longer employed) had noted my system was in perfect condition upon arrival. DO NOT BUY, SHOP, OR LET THEM DO YOUR SERVICE.
They mislead me on the price charging rediculus up fees when i arrived on the lot. I was looking at a unit and they sold it out from under me... no ethics. Only care about the money
I have purchased equipment from this company on a few occasions. Never again. I don't understand why CEO's have to get involved in political rhetoric. All it does is stop half of the people in the country from buying your goods. If there was any surge from the opposite party it would be a bandage. Who do you think shops for camping supplies (leftist or the right) leftist need safe spaces from words (don't sound like campers to me) the right are a bunch of gun toting survivalist (pretty much love camping). This guy needs to be removed before he destroys the company.
People were rude, no help offered and prices were way more than other stores. Will not return to Camping World.
You will never get a dime of my business. I am likely to buy RV in coming years. Way to alienate people, you crappy hater. What an a**.
Anyone who believes in LIberty should use theirs and boycott this place.
I ordered an air conditioner from Camping World. Paid for it, and $147.00 in shipping. I was told the unit would arrive in 5-6 days. It took 8 weeks and BBB involvement to get the a/c unit. Camping World's scam is to charge high prices for shipping, then delay the order until they get free shipping on the ordered items. Very poor service. Their own paperwork proved that they delayed the order for a month. I will not but ANYTHING from Camping World in the future. They have no morals when it comes to scamming.
This company is terrible at customer service. We return our camper for warranty work and it is always with them for over a month. They do not call and update us on the progress, we always have to follow up with them, and when we do call it usually takes 3-5 days for them to return the call. We have had multiple intermittent issues on parts covered by warranty and if they have not been able to troubleshoot. In fact, in one case they charged us for investigating a problem they could not fix; a problem covered by the warranty we had to pay for them not to fix it. We have had service on the same parts repeatedly with no resolution. They have no customer satisfaction concerns at all. We find them unreasonable and regret we ever purchased an RV from them and would never recommend them to anyone.
Camping World of Garner
DON'T PURCHASE FROM CHAMPING WORLD! Once they sell to you and the deal is done... they are done with you. Forget about getting anything fixed on you Coach. They will give you the run around for weeks or months on end. They should not be selling any coach if they can't service it. ESPECIALLY things that are under warranty! They will blame the manufacture, they will keep your coach on the lot for weeks on end and not work on it at all.
Bought an Outback from Camping World Hendersonville in 2016. Once the bottom lined was signed, they could careless! They could not get my camper out of the Service Dept and we lost a night stay of our long weekend trip. We had to return home a day early and was promised that Camping World would pay for the night. We were also promised by the Salesman that we would receive an outdoor rug with our purchase and again after the bottom line was signed, even that promise fell through.
Camping World of Ocala's after sale support is nearly nonexistent. When I stopped in at their office on January 30th (a few days after I bought a new 2017 Winnebago Aspect 27K from them) I asked for help with a warranty question. The lock/unlock button at the
Driver's position would not control the coach door. That meant
When we stopped I had to use the lock control to lock the
Front section doors; then I had to walk around to the other
Side and use a key to lock the coach. Not acceptable.
At the parts/service desk I explained the problem to the man at the
Counter. He was unable or unwilling to help. Eventually I
Spoke with a Mr. Gordon who knew what I was talking about
But said he would discuss it with a colleague and get back
To me. I still await any response five months later.
After swallowing my disappointment that morning I decided
To do it myself. A three-inch small rod was missing between the two holes where It had dropped down. I replaced it and it works as expected.
What wasn't expected was their failure to take any noticeable
Action on my problem. Had I not been working with mechanical
Problems from long before anyone in their organization I would
Have been SOL.
Their finance officer's help also was subpar. I wanted the
Title made out to my trust and registered in North Carolina. She
Could not do either task so it cost me a few thousand dollars
More in taxes to make up for her inadequacy. In addition I
Must do another transfer when I return home.
Placed an order in October for a backordered item, my card was charged 62.73 at this time. Got one email shortly thereafter that the item was backordered, which I knew so no big deal. Never heard from them again. Finally after about 4 months I contacted them. I was told sorry for the delay, the item will be shipping in the next couple weeks if you still want it, or they could cancel the order. I said I wanted it if it was actually going to ship. Was told it would be. The next day I got an email that the item was discontinued and they would refund my card. I got a refund. For 52.99. So they had my money for four months and charged me 10ish dollars for the privilege. And I now will have to deal with more people trying to get the rest of the money. Never again.
Horrible NH location. Brought our camper in for repairs due to an insurance claim 12/15. By 4/29/16, repairs not complete even though they were paid by insurance company. We took the camper back as camping season was starting. 7 months later, they fraudulently charged our credit card $1400 for repairs that "should have been done by them" but didn't as we never brought camper back. Horrible place, dishonest staff. Managers have big egos and do not have any concern for their customers.
We stopped at the store in Madison, Wis., 2 years ago and we were very impressed with the selection of camping items. The folks there seemed quite nice. We even bought the Good Sam membership so we'd received discounts on future purchases that we would make on line. That's where it's ended.
During that purchase and sign-up, I specifically asked that we receive any sales information only through email. I did not want any direct mailings. Apparently that was a difficult request. I started receiving catalogues and flyers through the mail. I was also receiving a LOT of emails with sales, etc (which was fine). So I called and asked that my name be removed from the snail mail address list.
They removed it from both. I've been working on this for almost a year (yes I've given up) and they kept telling me it was fixed and I'd start receiving emails again. I never did. When I started emailing them more frequently, I received a voice mail (with a "tone") telling me they were working on it, and I didn't need to keep sending them emails.
Every person I spoke with said it was now fixed. It wasn't.
Even after a purchase of an RV cover for almost $200, they still didn't fix this issue. They also never sent us a reminder or notice that our Good Sam membership was running out. Apparently they weren't interested in selling us that either.
There are still many items that I'd love to get for my camper, but I'll be searching the internet for other sources. Camping World has no customer service.
Visited camping world in Panama City FL with electrical problem on camper. Gordon Jemmott was our service consultant. I called, made appointment, arrived and was provided updates on repair. Gordon was a cool guy. Will use camping world in PC again if Gordon is there. Can't say that about the arrogant service manager.
I have been buying stuff from CW for years and I have always felt confident that I get a good product at a good price. When I have checked their price against other sources (Amazon, etc) they are rarely beaten. Shipping is quick and I have never had a problem with returns.
I see someone wrote a bad review about their camper service, but this really is not relevant to the website. It has been my experience that you can't get decent service on a camper anywhere. I have been to dealers, local RV shops, guys advertising on Craigslist... I can't find anyone competent to work on RV systems. They are all just like typical repairmen, replace stuff until they find a problem.
Good luck
At this point I am convinced that the service department at Camping World doesn't know what they are doing. I took my 2014 Laredo 5th wheel, which I bought from them, into their Boise, ID facility for a bad leveler. I also ordered a Platinum Service Package and a few other odds and ends. After having my rig for over a week and promising me delivery "tomorrow", they call today and advise me that they don't have the parts. Why didn't they verify that on day one and get them ordered? I don't live here and an paying $100/day for a motel room. Another of their facilities (Eugene, OR) installed a 32" TV in the bedroom, mounting it into that "cardboard" wall without using the stud in the wall. It promptly fell off! Most high school shop students would know better. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take your rig to Camping World for ANYTHING! You will be sorely disappointed.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
