Ordered a bike rack for travel trailer. Waited a full week and still "processing" the order. Tried to cancel. I was told it would take 48hr to process the cancellation and my get refused. The rep. I talked to was incredibly short with me and not helpful at all. I had to pry information out of them.

Great Experience
March 27, 2020

I see so many reviews which someone should set the people straight. 1) People say "there is rust under the RV, no that is a copper coating to prevent rust... I had Roberts tire take a look at it. 2) when you buy an RV they must do a check on all systems and list what needs repair. Well then get it repaired before buying.
I had a great experience with canping world. I bought a 5 year extended warrantee and not had to use it. Very happy with my RV. This site obviously only get the gripes not the at-a-boys. Enough said!

Tired of getting screwed
February 14, 2020

Camping world in Longmont Co sucks and for that matter so does the one in golden Co along with heartland. All any of these dealers care about is parting you from your money and after they do that you can Pi! Off as far as they're concerned. I just spent $137.50 (they wanted $275) to get my camper out of the Longmont dealership after some "warranty" work. Camper is less than a year old and in addition to that I screwed up and bought a worthless 7 year extended warranty. What a joke! This may be my last new camper. Everyone should look to buy used from a private party. Why, all RV's lose a ton of value as soon as you drive off, warranty is an absolute joke, either your problem isn't covered under warranty or it takes 3 months to fix it, there are plenty of good used units available, and if enough people went this way maybe it would put some of these crooked mother F'ers out of business.

WOW! Tried to purchase an aftermarket vent fan. Price online was $51.00, price in store was $78.00. I asked if they priced matched, and they stated they would. When I got to the register, it became very clear that the online price was with a Good Sam membership (which i do not need or want). The store manager actually argued with me that I had to have the membership to purchase at the online price. So, I left! Came home and went to purchase the same product online and was never forced to purchase the Good Sam membership and the price did not change. Either way, I am not purchasing it online or instore! Camping World- you have lost a customer for life and I hope this reverberates to others that wish to buy at your stores. Please go online or to another supplier.

Don't Buy Here
January 14, 2020

This is the worst dealer you could visit to purchase an RV. Both locations are horrible, Houston and New Braunfels. We purchased an RV in 2019 in cash. While driving the RV the spare fell out from under the RV because it was not secured properly. The vehicle was not a month old so it was under warranty. We reached out to the Houston location and was told since we live in Austin there was a camping World near us. We drove there with the RV and it was the worst execution ever. The service person we were assigned made every attempt to discourage us from leaving it there. Saying the manufacturer was bankrupt and they were not. The service person even told us out right that there were things they were not going to fix and that we needed to take it back to the dealership we purchased it from in Houston. After a few moments we decided to leave the vehicle there and I was sometime in possibly the early to late November right before the Christmas holidays. We are now in the month of January 2020 and we still do not have the new vehicle that we paid for. We have reached out to the manufacturer and they are not in fact bankrupt. They explain the process of their warranty and how it works and that they could very well send the parts to the dealer to repair the vehicle. I have called both locations in Houston and new Braunfels where the vehicle is kept or being repaired. Neither of these locations is of any help they are dragging their feet as if they have Not a care in the world. I would be very wary to purchase any type of recreational vehicle or trailer from either one of these locations because neither one of them are up to snuff for us up to par with their customer service and anything that they offer. I have attempted to reach out to the location managers as well as reached out to the corporate office and each person attempts to tell me how they can't change with someone else has done but they don't mention how they will go ahead and get the problem solved as quickly as they possibly can. Having pay cash for recreational vehicle that you have yet to actually drive anywhere is pretty bad. So for those of you considering camping world you may want to check out their reviews because they are very bad including my review and they also have a ton of better business reports a ton of them over the last three years. So by your beware.

I purchased a 2006 Cougar - cash and I was disrespected from the start, because I did not want to finance something more expensive. My RV was perfect for me and I was very excited to have found it. I actually had to argue with the finance manager, Al, because I did not want to finance! He even threatened to sell my RV to someone else for a higher price, even though I put down a deposit.
After I was able to get the paperwork completed, I did my walk through, I had a scheduled time, and yet, Camping world El Paso had me wait nearly 45 minutes to do my walk through.
During the walk through they did a great job showing me basics, but did an even better job lying about important functions, such as the heat and the black tank valve. Even though the official check list marked my furnace was fully functional, when it came down to turning it on as the temperatures dropped below freezing at night, my furnace does not work. When it came to empty my black tank, I came to find that there is a fault in the valve release of my black tank. Yet another thing that was checked off as working at full function and is not. So I reach out to camping world and receive no response. This is beyond an "as is" issue. These issues should have been resolved before putting the RV on the lot for sale. INSTEAD THEY PUT AN RV ON THE LOT FOR SALE, ADVERTISE IT AS AN "ORANGE TAG SPECIAL" AND LIE ABOUT THE FUNCTIONALITY TO GET IT SOLD QUICKLY. Avoid Camping world at all costs, unless, that is you enjoy being lied to and disrespected. If that is you, have at it. But who is that crazy? Not me.

New camper just 6 months old, I find out roof rails were not installed correctly from the factory and the canapy the same. Main wall moving. So the camper was sitting on the lot in the elements of WI weather WATER LEAKING IN SINCE IT WAS BUILT. They said they plugged the holes in roof. Dumb, the water still leaked in until you plugged the holes. Also was told possible structural damage. They do nothing else, no returned calls.

Camping World Lied To me
November 4, 2019

This is literally THE WORST company anyone could ever purchase from!

Firstly, I use an ip relay service for people with disabilities and their agents kept hanging up on me because they didn't want to have to bother with a translator. This resulted in my having to call again three times, each time with a very very long nearly an hour wait.

Next They LIE about orders going to ship... and then they cancel them. They caused me a lot of trouble and embrassment and wasted about 5 hours of my time between their on line "help" and the people at their call center.

Don't waste your time and money. Shop anywhere but here. They will not allow you to send gifts... they will wait several days and cancel them so if you're Christmas or Birthday Shopping... pass this place by FAST!

Buyer Beware
October 26, 2019

They are your best friend when you are buying a camper BUT... after you buy it they want nothing to do with you. Their service is the worst service I've experienced in my life. The Service department doesn't respond to your emails or phone calls. When you finally do catch them they tell you what you want to here but NEVER do what they say they will do. I would never recommend Camping World of Pittsburgh to anybudy.

We bought a motor home from Robertsdale, Al. I have previously written about the HORRIBLE service I got from them during the transaction. I am updating my anger at them. When we bought the motor home we were told that it is a 2017. All the paperwork they gave us said it was a 2017. Now 6 months later we want to sell so we can get a larger RV only to learn that it is not a 2017 but that it is in fact a 2016. This means not only that we overpaid for the RV ( and they knew it) but also that now my selling price has to dropped so I have been screwed by Camping World once again.
My title says it is a 2016 so obviously I must advertise and sell as 2016.
I called them today to discuss this. I asked for the GM and man named Rick came on. When I explained my concern he looked up my file and told me that the chassis is a 2016 but the the coach itself is a 2017 and that it "happens all the time. THIS (expletive) knows that they are misrepresenting the truth of their vehicles and yet still LYING to the customers. How many others have been mislead/ lied to?
My guess is that I am losing about 6-8 thousand dollars as a result of the totally unethical lies these expletives told us. NOT TO MENTION HE ACTED LIKE IT IS NO BIG DEAL. AS he said " It happens all the time"
STAY AWAY.
I just got back from an extended USA trip in my motor home. Every single person that I spoke to had nothing but negative to say about CAMPING WORLD.
We will be buying another, but not from them.

We are new to the RV world and have our first rig. Camping World employees at least at the Vacaville facility are sorely lacking in knowledge and customer service skills. I always end up calling our manufacturer to get answers. Thor's customer service is excellent!

We bought our rig in July and they are now on the 3rd service manager since we bought our RV!

Buy from anywhere else
October 24, 2019

If I had it to do over again, I would never buy from this company again. The store in Ashland Virginia has the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. We went in on a Sunday to look to possibly trade in our camper for a new one. We found one we liked. They appraised ours and we agreed on numbers. We set up an appointment to take delivery of our new one for later that week. We arrived for picking up our new one. Of course, they were not prepared for us even though we had an appointment. Then the sales manager takes us outside to our trade in. He goes on to say it needs about $6,000 in repairs, so if we could go ahead and give him a check we were good to go. We tell him he is not getting a dime from us. We had already signed the paper work on Sunday for purchase and trade in. Is it our fault they did not do a thorough job, HELL NO. So then 5 minutes later he comes back and tells us he found a wholesaler that would buy it so we were good to go. What a snake. 3 hours later we were finally able to leave with our new camper. We take it that weekend to Cape Hatteras. My wife takes a shower the next morning and the water heater on the electric side is not working. No biggie got it to work on the propane side. After her shower she asks me to go in the bathroom and shows me water coming from under the tub. I open the access panel and the drain in not even connected to the drain pipe. We call camping world to get this fixed. We took it to one in newport news since it is much closer to our home. It has now been there 2 weeks, and they have not done a damn thin yet to fix it. They are waiting on approval from warranty. This thing left the manufacturer not right. We want to use it soon and we are waiting for approval on something that was never right to begin with. SAVE YOUR MONEY. CAMPING WORLD SUCKS!

When we originally bought our camper, it was required that we return it in 6 weeks to review any issues we may have with it. We did and we complained out the freezer over frosting and water dripping down the refrigerator. We had it back twice and it was never fixed or even addressed. So once again we had it back to Camping World and now they want to charge us labor on something they failed to fix last year.!

Worst Customer Service
October 11, 2019

Do Not waste your time or money here. Take your business elsewhere. I bought a camper a month ago and have not received one phone call or any paperwork for our RV. We have not received a tag and ours expires today. The worst customer service ever. Buy from someone who pays attention to the customer.

Conflict
October 10, 2019

Store in Raleigh, NC, Jonathan in retail sales was awesome, however, we were in town to buy a fifth wheel and Rodney was our representative, after about 10 minutes my husband asked him how long he had been selling, 3 years was his answer, we asked for quotes on three fifth wheels, no return call and he did not even ask for our number nor give us his business card. Guess they have so much business they do not need ours.
