I placed an order on 7/5/20. A week later, nothing has shipped. I called Customer Service and was stuck on hold for 16 minutes without getting through to anyone. While on hold, I placed an order on Amazon for the same items and saved $21 from Camping World Prices. All items ordered on Amazon shipped that day and are out for delivery today or will arrive tomorrow. Nothing will take more than 2 days from the time I ordered them on Amazon. I emailed Customer Service at Camping World to cancel the order and ensure my credit card was refunded. I followed up with a telephone call today to ensure the order was cancelled and I was refunded. Today I reached a person within a few minutes only to be transferred to Customer Service.
I was on hold for another 18 minutes before getting a person there only to be told they could not refund me nor cancel the order. I would have to wait until everything shipped, return it all then wait for a refund. The customer service agent was beyond ambivalent. 21 minutes on the telephone with them and the only thing clear is that she could not care less about this. Do not waste your time. Save your money, Avoid this business. Go anywhere else...
Ok week four with trailer in the shop #camperworld, now remember this trailer isn't even a year and they where supposed to have the parts ready when I took it in so the family would be back in it as fast as possible with the Covid-19 pandemic going on. When I called on week three the tech was off and surprise there where no notes in the system on where they where with it. I called the #MarcusLemonis #Marcus Lemonis #samgood and got a call from a store manager about trading it off and called them back three times and no call back and yes left messages! In my opinion I do not recommend shopping or doing any kind of business with them. I was willing to work things out with them because I understand stuff happens but I'm not thinking this is just a one store paperwork mess up any more now that I have been blown off by two stores. I even told them that I was will and knew that I would be loosing money trading it in and they still couldn't even call me back. So please pass this on to all your friends looking for a #traveltrailer #Rv #Fifthwheel. Oh yah the family is still jumping from hotel to family houses and thank god we have not fought COVID yet.
We bought a camper at camping world a couple of weeks ago. It is a 2021. We have it sitting in our driveway right now and we have the slide out. When we went in the camper to get some of the paperwork that we had stored under the couch, we discovered that everything was soaking wet. It had rained. My husband called Camping World to inquire about this leaking and they said " close the slide when it rains". This is ridiculous. If you are camping and it rains, you take shelter in your camper. Why would you collapse your space while confined inside? This is absolutely insane. We have never had to close our slide with previous campers for rain. Do not give Camping World one penny of your money. They do not stand behind their products. Susan Ward
We took our camper in for warranty work which we paid extra for and they kept it for over two months. Then after we got it back we were putting tire covers on and noticed the sewage lines were open. My husband closed them and then he opened the cover and excrement and pee came out. We ALWAYS completely clean and thoroughly flush out the entire system when we pack up from a camp so we know this was done while under their care. This is beyond disgusting and extremely poor customer service. I do not care if they are short of workers and we are in the midst of COVID-19, which actually makes it worse. They could potentially have exposed us to the virus and having that in our camper for two months in the Texas heat is beyond my imagination. I AM SO PISSED! We have been so careful to make sure that we completely clean out our camper every time we use it so it does not retain any lingering odor over the years. I cannot believe this has happened to us. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!
Do not take you rig in the parking lot at the Denton tx camping world. We have a 35ft class and towing a small car ther is no where to park even when there is hardly any car in the parking lot. There is to many rigs they are trying to sale. You get in but can't get out had to snitch the car to get out wanted to buy stuff for trip but after all that I was like forget it I Amazon will get my business
Hands down the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I purchased a $1,000+ Dometic fridge, and was told that it would ship as soon as it was in stock. Okay, fair enough, slightly peeved they charged me same day (most companies wait until they have the item in hand) but whatever. Then began the nightmare. THREE WEEKS later, 4 calls to customer service promising the order would ship in 1-3 days, blaming Dometic for being backed up EVEN THOUGH other websites had the same item in stock, and refusing to email me back with a follow up. ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I've ever experienced, they don't want to solve your problem they just want you off the phone/live chat. EVEN AFTER CANCELLING MY ORDER they would not refund or send me a cancellation confirmation email! These people are a joke, I can't believe they're still in business. Their reluctance to release my funds makes me wonder how solvent they truly are, BUYER BEWARE, this smells like bankruptcy.
Made an appointment to have our trailer serviced. Dropped the trailer off and a week and half later still hadn't even started to look at it they said it would be another 10 business days before they could get it in. Picked it up and won't be taking it back. Why schedule an appointment if you're not able to do the work? Very poor customer service.

First, we called camping world to see if they had Moryde Steps in stock. We were put on hold for over 10 minutes and nobody pick up. So we hung up and call back serval times just to get someone to answer. Then when we got the product it was missing the mounting screws to install it and adjustable feet to level the steps. Went back to the store to get a mounting kit and legs. Jen helped me for the second time and after an hour of wasting my time, she was not willing to just give me the mounting screw or adjustable feet from another box. She was coming up with every excuse possible as to why she couldn't help me. This is not the first time that workers have not been helpful. The customer service basically suck and instead of helping the customers and find ways to fix the problem the worker find all kinds of excuse as to why it won't work or can't be fix. There answer to everything is we can order you a new one in a few weeks. The works don't know their products or how to help customers with problems. Again customer service and knowledge is terrible.
I've shopping at the Golden CO location for almost 2 years.
I would like leave 100 Stars for all the visit I did not review.

Cashier. Always been delightful to me and very helpful in product knowledge.

We just returned from our first outing, to Colorado, with our new Coleman Light LX trailer. Josiah O'Connell, our salesman, was easy to work with, and not a high-pressure type. He was extremely helpful in explaining how everything worked, there is a lot of new equipment in RV's these days. We had to get new towing equipment with the trailer. The installation was professionally done and worked as expected. We are happy with our purchase and how we were treated.

We brought in our trade in, the said they'd give us 13k for it. Agreed on a price, went to bank, got a cashiers check for remainder. Came back, couldn't get any help. Watched another customer get straight pissed off and leave. Wasn't involved, dont know story. They said they were doing paperwork and to wait. 1.5 hours later, they come back with a 40% offer on trade in. Basically doubling our balance on new RV. I said well. We can be a little flexible, nope, they wouldn't budge 1 dollar. I paid over 150 bucks to have it transported over there. BEWARE the bait and switch. These guys are dirty. Think car salesman x5. They will RIP you off and laugh doing it. I would set my camper on fire before dealing with these people. Camping World in Alvarado. They wanted 600 bucks for a battery and to fill a single 20lb propane cylinder. Avoid like the plague!

Camping world and Gander takes your money, with or without items in stock, then refuse to cancel your orders. They bounce you around, tell you they will call you back, and blame all their ordering and customer service problems on third party vendors. Takes weeks to get your money back. They are the worst online retailer I've ever dealt with. Read the fine print, they will not cancel your order even if they have no idea when it will be in, or if ever. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Worst business practices ever.
Do NOT buy a RV from Camping World. We dealt with the one in Nashville. It was a disaster from day 1. They don't care about you. They are as bad as a sleazy used car salesman. All they want to do is get you in there, sell you a RV, and then get you out and hope they never see you again. Without going into too much detail, the first one we bought without knowing anything about RV's, was too heavy for our truck. Its weight was right at the limit of what Ford said we could pull, which means if you're doing nothing but short trips on a straight and level road with no hills, you might be ok. They told us they thought it would be just fine. It ended up tearing up the rear end of our truck! I swear that's true. $1300. 00 worth of damage. We had to go back to Camping World in Nashville and trade in for a lighter weight one, and lost money on that deal as well. Also, we had a water leak issue that was found behind one of the kitchen benches (about 5 years after purchasing the RV) when we were replacing vinyl furniture that had torn up already. Our insurance wouldn't pay for the water damage because they said it was caused from a manufacturing defect. The manufacturer wouldn't help us because 5 years had passed. It cost us $2000 to get it repaired. I wrote to the CEO of Camping World with all the facts and information and sent a copy to the manager of the Nashville Camping World this past January. Didn't hear a word back from them at all, not even a denial. So PLEASE go anywhere else but Camping World. I wish we had.

We bought our Cougar MBI In January 2020. Geno was the Salesman. Everything went really smooth from start to finish. They did the install on my fifth wheel. Jeff the tech in back 1st bay, had everything done by the end of the next day on my Ram truck. I had a warranty concern that we noticed once we had got it home. They had me contact Wendell Helms in the service department and he was in communication with us the whole way through the process. They went through it and found a few more things that needed done that we weren't even aware of. Service with a smile and was professional the whole way through. Thanks Camping World. I original order was for a Blackstone griddle. Order in March, it is now end of May. The order was in back order status, but has been in stock now for six weeks. I have called customer service four times. They tell me it's in stock and will ship in 1-3 days. Credit card charged back in March. Last time asked CS to expedite shipping, can't do it. Cancel order, can't do that, because it is in the warehouse system. Tell me exactly when it will be process, can't tel me that either. The only option is to wait until it ships then return it for credit. No confidence it will ship or that I will get my money back. Terrible.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
