While a few customers noted positive interactions with individual staff members, these instances are overshadowed by widespread dissatisfaction with sales tactics and unresolved complaints. Camping World Nashville TN. We dealt online and on phone for 2 year old motorhome. We drove our one year old class c down from Iowa to trade on class A. We were told the 2 year old class A was in perfect condition. Pictures sent to us looked great. When we got to dealership we were shocked. Seats were peeling and worn, carpet was dirty, the mattress looked to be 20 years old. The awning didn't work, outside had dents and scratches and the entire unit was surely not ready to sell. I see a note on door of the dealer that if you are not happy with camping world call this number. The guy answering the call was rude to the max and all he could say was "the unit was road worthy" we drove total of 1600+ plus miles because they were totally lying about the Class A. I worked customer service for many years and if I had been as rude, I wouldn't have been working any longer.
Very very bad experience from purchase to service go somewhere else you won't regret it these are bad people no doubt. Thieves cost me lots of money and now have to get attorney to get compensation for lost time and money
We were interested in purchasing a motor home from Camping World in Calera, AL but were caught up in price manipulation because they wanted us to finance more to receive kickbacks from the bankss. We could not get a quote based on cash or less amount financed-seems like they were not even interested unless we financed 85%. They need to decide if they are a camper sales company or a finance kickback company. I am not even sure this is legal!
Camping world sells low quality Rvs. We bought a 2021 Salem trailer by forest river. 40 grand. It is back in the repair shop. One wall is caved in. Wow couldn't they see that before they sold it. Hide it behind a chair. Refrigerator turns off. Has to through out all of our food. Gas leak. This is a garbage rv. We are stuck with this piece of trash but you don't have to be. Run from camping world and their inferior products.
All these positive reviews make me angry. We have taken our RV to the CW in Byron GA and due to the incompetence they have had our unit more than we have over the last three years. Well not it is out of warranty and as soon as this last repair we will NEVER go back. They have had our unit for 2 months and the last we spoke they were ordering parts. I called it took them a week to call back stating that they never even ordered the parts. The response we got when being upset was, things happen! This has been never ending and I'm upset because they could absolutely care less. Great way to deal with your military members and I guess I should have done my research on the place to buy vs the rig I wanted. People just don't care anymore!
I wanted to see what Camping World had to offer. Jon Young helped me tremendously, and got right down to what I was looking for. I really loved a couple of the RVs he showed me. Jon Young was knowledgeable, professional and amazing to work with. If you go to Camping World, ask for Jon.
I had an appointment at 10:30 got here 15 minutes early. A man was waiting at the parts window and totally cut the line and was helped before 3 people waiting on line for service. I waited 40 minutes. Before I was helped. My customer service rep. Jim was amazing. And extremely helpful. He checked us in extremely fast. And we were out of there in 15 minutes. Thanks to Jim. If it wasn't for the service that Jim gave us. I'm not sure I would go back there.
Purchased camper. Took 3 hours to complete paperwork. Paid 995.00 for camper cleaning... component and system inspection. A few other things. At least 80% were not completed. TV did not work. I brought it in and have been waiting 1:30 for help. No one. Everyone is sitting around having a good time. And I wait!
My wife and I had a great experience working with Camping World in the search for a new RV. We had one of the most knowledgeable salesman (RON) that was a great listener with all of our needs and desires in our search for the perfect RV that we searched for throughout the Portland area. He gave us recommendations from his many years of experience which helped greatly. He knew our budget and kept us within our price range and helped in showing us the most for our dollar. I can say one thing, we had some sales representatives from other lots that showed us that we knew as much about the models we were looking at than they did. Example at other lot., I asked, How many AC's does this unit have and the salesman literally had to walk several hundred feet away and look up to tell us. Ron on the other hand had all the answers while sitting comfortably together within one of the most beautiful models we were looking at purchasing. I have seen some reviews that were not as highly rated as ours, but I can say one thing for sure, this particular Camping World has some of the nicest and easy to work with representatives in the industry. We wish to Thank everyone who made our time at Camping World a very comfortable and enjoyable experience with no pressure whatsoever. Thank You Camping World and especially Ron for the awesome experience. A+ recommendation!
My husband and I were looking at campers. Eric Houston spent time showing us many different ones. He was very helpful and not pushy. He was very knowledgable and courteous. When we come back to Camper World we definitely want Eric Houston.
Took my unit in been there over three months. Was told ready for pick up go up there not complete. They left panels off, fresh water pump unhooked, screws out, some trim not reinstalled, and scratches on the metal. So left it there for another almost two weeks. Was told it was complete again returned to pick up and still not complete. Needed paint touched up and they tore rubber on slide out. So still there. Talked to corporate was told they would detail it. Then get a call back saying they just gonna wash it there isn't a detail shop at that location. They do have a shop two miles down the road but it will cost extra. Still have no idea what the bill is yet due to it being a insurance claim. So needless to say my several trips I made plus gas isn't important to them. Stay far away. Would not recommend to anyone at all.
Bob Harden is extremely bad for Camping World's Brand. I visited the location in Woodstock, GA 505 Parkway 575. On Sunday December 20,220 at approximately 11:00 AM. In hopes of looking at a Class A or 5th Wheel. Bob Harden was very displeased with the customers coming to the store to browse. Quote: "Why are they here? They can look through the windows or leave. We are here to sell". Well Mr. Idiot. Consumers prefer to browse, touch and even test drive before making any purchases. He displayed a very nasty unprofessional attitude toward customers. Stay away from Camping World as long as Bob Harden is working there. Mr. Steve Mcgee was really helpful. He was very professional. Mr. Mcgee answered all of our questions and showed us several options.
Purchased 4 12 volt fans only to find them defective. They tend to turn on by themselves.
Customer service is sending me new fans at no charge.
Purchasing my new motorhome (at Camping World of Myrtle Beach) was so much fun, because Angela in sales and Craig in Finance were the kinds of people that become instant friends. I am 73 years old and have had many vehicle purchasing experiences. But these two people change the whole buying dynamic. This is my eighth RV, and I left this delearship happy, satisfied, and best of all, with two new friends.
We had difficulty with our furnace and requested a service person come to our campsite to repair. Dave was sent and although it took a couple of attempts, he was successful in repairing it. Later, he came back to help us winterize our camper as the water pump appeared to malfunction. Again, he was prompt and successful in taking care of us. We are so happy.
Ordered a cover for my pop up. Waited and waited 2 1-2 weeks finally called them asking what was up. Item came from outside vendor? Couldn't get in touch with them so they said they would give me 50 dollars off and vendor would reach out to me. 3 days later my order was cancelled. They held my money for 3 weeks said they would refund me waited waited no refund. Had to do a charge back. Worst business ever
We bought an RV from Gander in Cicero New York. I can't think of one positive thing to say. They are highly deceptive in their business practices. So many examples it would be too exhausting to list. Suffice it to say: please spare yourself the agony and buy from somewhere else. One thing I must mention is what a joke their corporate team is. Marcus Lemonis says, "if your not happy I'm not happy." I can assure you that he does not care nor does anyone in his organization. Completely meaningless words!
The Camping World is just the building all the people that work there are third party to Camping Would the RV sales are independent contractor to Camping World the Service people are not direct employees of Camping World
Each area with in the building are separate from businesses they are on there own and nobody works together even the computer don't talk to each other
With this attitude the buck is passed from each individual business to another the customer suffers from there work ethics of the people employed under Camping World roof not being held responsible
From now on I will shop other RV businesses before shopping Camping World
Purchased an Onan 4500i generator from camping world July 20. Did not get to use the generator until the third week of August due to camper arrival delivery time being pushed back. Used two weeks and it started knocking.
Contacted the store after two weeks of use and was told to take to the Cummins dealership in Augusta Georgia. Generator had been recalled and camping world would no longer sell this item.
Took to the Cummins dealership first of September. Called several times to check on it and no one would return my call. Had to physically drive to their location to find out anything on the generator on 4 separate occasions.
Long story short after being in touch with our local gander, camping world in Columbia where it was purchased, Camping World corporate, good Sam's, and Cummins dealership, we have finally received our money back after three months. Today is November 24th. Very very bad customer service from camping world and Cummins.
Fair warning if you do use the Cummins on Riverwatch Drive, they never return your phone calls, they never give you the same story, and at this very moment they still have our generator. You will have to go over there and talk with someone to get any information.
On a positive note, I would like to sincerely thank Don Connor who is the current manager at the Camping World in Columbia South Carolina that took the time over the past three months to try his best to help me. You are an exceptional manager and role model to all of your employees. If I make any further purchases, I will drive the hour and a half to purchase from your store. You are and outstanding example of customer service
Top management is corrupt. They dont cate about their product or their customers. Find a different place to go!
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
