I have had many issues with the warehouse not consolidating packages properly I receive boxes with lots of wasted space which only makes the box larger and a little heavier and that cost me also Japan Post offers discounts on the amount of shipments you do and buyee charges the full rate and must be keeping the discount, I had dozens if of emails with there support and it is a challenge to get my concerns across, I have started using a competitor since the offer the discounted shipping and are offer an extinction on storage and buyee has not done anything to ecommend this due to covid-19 situation even after being this to there attention.

- As a monolinguist American, trying to shop on a Japanese with, primarily Yahoo Japan, I need a bridge between languages and cultures. Buyee fills that gap. Proving a great service.
- The down side is the service frequently cost more than the products I buy. However, Buyee is a business and need to make money, so I understand, and choose to accept it.
- In general I have not been disappointed. Except lately, the Buyee pop-up assistant has been slow to get a response or give up waiting. Perhaps a part of COVID-19 effects on business.
- Packaging, usually good. I collect stamps, and their repackaging usually destroys the original shipping stamp's.

[Edit: After about a month of investigation into my case, I got a full refund for the damaged items. So there's that. However, the customer experience was still extremely bad and it took a lot of effort to just get them to even consider "investigating" (they just looked at the photos of the items I sent them). So all in all, the one star still is valid in my opinion, but I still wanted to mention that in the end they seemed to have seen the problem and gave the refund.]

NOT RECOMMENDED for collector items or even just books. There are just two options: EITHER you send the package in the standard packaging, which is fine for national shipping, but inappropriate for international shipping. So the goods often arrive overseas with damage. OR you can select (expensive) protective packaging and have your package so overly protective packed and with so much wasted plastic and material, that it just blows up the shipping costs.

And don't even get me started on the customer "support".

They're all nice and friendly and I'm sure they're good people, but here's the thing:

Very rarely do they understand what the actual problem is in the first message. Usually I had to explain my issue multiple times until they actually understood what needed to be done.

As long as it all went well considering delivery and shipping, there were no problems (obviously), but as soon as problems occurred and I was dependent on their customer support to help me, I was left alone and had to pay for it.
My package was sent back because I wasn't notified. I had to pay shipping costs a second time because Buyee refused to check with their carrier to request a refund of shipping costs, so I wouldn't have to pay twice.

Not using this service again. They've lost my trust when it mattered.

Well, when I started using this site I was happy with its service, because I only bought one item at a time. The problem came when I was charged the infamous package consolidation fee, which is nonsense, and some of my colleagues had the same problem; it does't make sense and feels like scamming your clients. Their costumer service doesn't provide an explanation always and they're inflexible, they do not help the costumer. Also, if an item comes in a bad condition there's no way to get refunded. I'm very disappointed at this moment.

Try avoid this proxy website if you can.

First, they have the worst customer service.

Second, They charge package consolidation fees and other nonsense fees.

Third, there is no sense of warning Billing and Shipping addresses differences so they will not cancel after you

Paid for shipping, which is ridiculous.

I never had a problem with other Japanese proxy buying website except for BUYEE.

Again, I would not recommend BUYEE for someone who is trying to buy stuff in Japan through a proxy website.
