I am a collector and especially like all the cute and rare items only found in Japan! Recently there was a Card Captor Sakura Kuji that was exclusively sold in Japan only. I was able to look up the item on Yahoo Auctions and snipe bid and win the item I wanted using Buyee. The best part is it is hassle free for me, I just need for it to arrive at the warehouse and ship, it's that easy. I had the option of EMS, DHL, Airmail, Surface mail so I shipped it using airmail. I like that there is mutiple Shipping options for me. Also I was a little worried during Covid 19 that services will be severely interrupted but to my surprise it has been quite smooth! This item shipping out on May 15 and was delivered to me on June 10. Things usually ship out of japan the very next day I make payment! Very reliable service! Highly recommended.

I used Buyee for the longest time to get items in Japan. For most time, I am very satisfied with the service. Most of the times, I would buy high value items and with this, all the other costs seems very reasonable especially with the care they take in repacking and sending. In less expensive items, then the service do seem a bit high. The only thing I feel that Buyee could improve or help or do more are when I buy big works of art that are framed. It would have been nice if they can remove the work from the frame and sent them rolled in a tube rather than send the whole thing as is, as the costs were prohibitive. Having said that, I do understand that it is a big ask.

Definitely a good place to start your japan domestic market shopping! Very often you be able to find rare or even japan-only goods and items, and with this middleman service it enables a smooth journey from start till the end. Perhaps to nitpick would be the platform interface, if they could improve it to include allowing the currency to be the home country issued credit card's currency than it would even make it more attractive. As sometimes the exchange rate stated in their system is more expensive. But than again, they are the main partner with yahoo auctions, hence everything is linked up. And also their shipping packing is often 1 of the best as compared to other online shopping sites or even ebay! Kudos and I will continue to shop from there!

I used Buyee more than a year! It is convenient to buy items by Buyee at Yahoo acution as well as Mercari, both auctions are good. I usually buy Toys, CD, and LP, those prices I can found are reasonable, and there are many shipping options I can choose for the shipment to my country. And I hope Yahoo and Mercuri can launch the Special Promotions more frequently, so that I can buy more things with even cheaper handling fee and Buyee can also have more business and then the Sellers can sell more good items at the acutions and it would be 3 Wins! Thank you.

Used Buyee service to purchase a $1,800 USD Hi Fi amplifier (Denon PMA 2500) off the Yahoo Japan website. It was for a brand new item (Auction Ref ID: r*******). Once the product arrived at Buyee's warehouse, I requested for a paid photo verification and this process alone took 3 days and they send me about 4 photos of the product and the contents inside the retail box. 3 days is frankly a little slow. The product was delivered safely and the outer box checked out to be in a great condition. It was a double box with very well paddings, thanks to the Yahoo auction seller. However, upon turning on the product, I noticed a major issue. The source selection dial (to change to CD / phono / Aux / etc) does NOT work. Luckily I could change the source via the included remote controller. I sent an email to Buyee and they asked for some photos proof describing the issue. After 24 hrs, they said there is nothing they can do to help me. I said it is a brand new item and at lease you guys could help me to discuss the issue with the Yahoo auction seller but they refused. I was hoping they could provide some kind of support or help me with warranty claim but the product is no longer in Japan, and Denon does not honor international warranty. So the only way to get help is to physically carry this 30kg box back to Japan and get warranty job done inside of Japan, which is almost impossible due to the fact I am in Taiwan and would not want take the risk of flying during the covid 19 outbreak. I could ship this into Japan but there is no way for me to receive the fixed / return shipment from the manufacturer. Not a good experience. As a result I have open up a chargeback or dispute with my credit card company
