I LOVE Mercari.jp because they have such a wide variety of items that beats fril.jp hands down, the only drawback... Mercari sellers can be a bit choosy when it comes to buyers so I have to go through a proxy to get my sweet sailor moon merch or sarasa clip supplies. In Comes Buyee. (* v *)b
Buyee allows me to purchase ALMOST anything but I have to use their service at certain times of the day to make sure the item I selected gets bought successfully before someone else grabs it, time zones make a big difference because Mercari.jp is a japanese app and I don't have the advantage of just buying something without Buyee's help.
Buyee has a really great customer service team, if I have inquires, I simply shoot an email and I get a response that night which is fantastic.
For example: I wanted to purchase a few sarasa refills but the seller included a perfume in the set, I was devastated because perfume contains alcohol and thus cannot be shipped via buyee's guidelines. But one quick zip of an email with a suggestion about removing the perfume worked out in my favor, the buyee customer service team were quick to help and happy ending I got to buy my refills.
I like Buyee's constant promotions but truth be told I really miss the FREE SHIPPING coupons they used to give out, 500 yen is not enough when the order is past $100. I'll keep saying it until I log in and see that shiny beautiful FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COUPON, other than that I also miss the free service fee coupon too. I like to save money so buying cheap items is great but when you take on 500 yen to a 300 yen item it can be a bitter sweet buy at times (I still make the purchase if I really want the item though).
Anyways, All in all Buyee is a great service to use (when their behaving) they have excellent coupons and the customer service is a breath of fresh air with how polite and quick they respond to questions or any other concerns you might have. Just be mindful of the 500 yen service fee, when you shop with that in mind, it makes things easier trust me.
I totally recommend Buyee.

I bought three identical items on this site. Each of them cost about 12 dollars.
To each item, the seller added three types of different fees to the value of the goods.
Buyee Service Fee: 300yen
Payment Fee: 200yen
Plan fees: 500yen
The total amount of the fee is about 10 dollars.
Before buying, the seller did not indicate the cost of shipping the goods. This value could be found only after purchase. Later I found out that the shipping of each product of three items costs about $ 17-19.
The purchasing a product for $ 12.64 ultimately brought me to a total cost of $ 40. I found it very expensive and asked the seller to cancel the goods.
The seller replied that the item is yet in the warehouse and ready for shipping that is why cancellation according to their rules is not possible.
Then I asked the seller to unite all three items in one package and send it to me. The seller replied that in order to do this I must log in to my account and apply for shipping in one parcel. I logged into my account and saw that before I get information about the cost of merging parcel I have to pay a fee of 1000 yen (about 10 USD). Then I sent an email to the seller. In the email, I explained that I would like to know how expensive merging parcel is before I pay the fee of 1000 yen. The seller refused to say me the cost of merging parcel and said again to apply for merging parcel and pay at first 1000 yen.
I logged back and in the options, I saw an action called "dispose". I clicked on "dispose" and information appeared that when you select this option, the three above fees(Buyee Service Fee, Payment Fee, Plan fees) are not refundable. From the context, I assumed that in choosing this option I will get back the cost of the goods, namely US $ 12.64.
However, the seller will not refund me any cent.

BUYEE.com let you choose, buy, and bid from several Japanese-based shopping and auction websites, i. E. Yahoo! JAPAN Auction, Yahoo! JAPAN Shopping, Mercari, Rakuten, and ZOZOTOWN. Its service is not as flexible as Ebay.com, especially, shipping service and shipping cost estimation, however, some of items on Yahoo! JAPAN Auction are difficult to find on Ebay at a friendly cost.

Please note that buyer or bidder need to pay for a minimum service fee of 500 JPY plus optional fee for package investigation service and insurance (300+200 JPY). Additionally, for most of Yahoo! JAPAN Auction, local shipping cost from seller to warehouse and oversea shipping cost, will be charged at buyer; this fee cannot be accurately predetermined thought. Some of sellers would offer to handle local shipping cost.

Package consolidation service is supposed to decrease overall shipping cost by combining 2 or more items but please keep in mind that shipping charge cannot be accurately predetermined. Thus, sometimes, shipping charge for separated shipping might be lowered than consolidated shipping since additional 500 JPY will be charged for each consolidated item (please see attached photo for an example.

Customer service is professional, kind, and helpful. Responding period is not so long and acceptable.

In summary, BUYEE is a practical way to select and buy items you are looking for from Japan without much shipping restrictions.

From the set up to completing my purchase, the whole experience was pretty easy and simple. With so many items available that you either can't get here in the States or are much more expensive, Buyee makes it a great platform to be able to shop and save money. It's also really convenient to have so many different websites/stores to choose from :) I definitely recommend Buyee if you're looking for items that you might only be able to find in Japan but live elsewhere.

It's about 5 years since I use Buyee. I'm really appreciated with its service. I don't need to deposit some fund to start bidding from Yahoo Japan Auction. Just pay what I win, I like this function. Buyee also help me buy from many famous shopping website such as Rakuten, Mandarake, Surugaya and Mercari. And Buyee offer a wide range of shipping methods, so I can choose the best way to ship my parcels. Moreover, the best thing about Buyee is its customer service. The team always accept my selfish requests and serve as I need. I'm very happy about it and I will continue use it more and more! But there is only thing I really want Buyee to allow users edit a declare value of parcel. I hope one day Buyee will.
