Buyer BEWARE!

I ordered two pirate costumes for my hubby a Large and XLarge... they shipped me an XLarge and a PLUS Size for a 50 in. Chest. When I went back to the original order I noticed there were no sizes indicated. So it was my word against their word. When I called they claimed there was no longer a Large available. So WHY did they send me the plus size? To make matters worse they deducted the cost of return shipping from my purchase. Fraud at best! This company is horrible. WHo sends the wrong size just because another size is sold out?! Needless to say I found another pirate costume at half the price that is so much better in quality on Amazon. Notice on the website there are no reviews... Unless you dig around on the internet you will not know what kind of company buycostume.com really is.

I placed an order by mistake and tried to get in touch with them within 5 mins of placing the order to cancel the order. They dont have an option to cancel on the website and the customer service dept is no help. Not sure how much longer can they be doing business with such a model.

Fraud!

This company's website ran a free shipping special. I was still charged shipping on my order and when I contacted them, I was told they never offered free shipping. I have the screen capture to prove it. This is fraud and false advertising. The fact that their customer service rep lied to me is horrible.

I ordered 2 childrens' cosutmes, but did not get a confirmation, so ordered again. I received a confirmation for the second order. That same day, I recieved an email from BuyCostumes indicating they were having issues with their website.
A week later, I received both orders (identical). When I called to return one, they did not acknowledge any issues, only offered to refund my one order if I shipped it back to them via trackable mail (from Canada, this will cost clsoe to $90 for the box they sent, with the total cost of the items only $130). Plus the time to go to the post office to ship and the 35 minutes I spent on hold with them. Not worth it - donating the second set to charity, and will never order from them again!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the few negative reviews I read prior to buying the "official batman" cat woman costume. For the money, it was not worth it. The ears were broken straight from the package and very cheaply made. I glued them, but that did not work. The gloves were not long enough -- they went to her elbows, but shown reaching the bottom of the sleeve on the picture. The belt kept popping off. The mask's eyes weren't big enough and the nose was tight giving her trouble breathing. After 15 minutes of trick-or-treating no one could tell she was cat woman. I am very disappointed. I spent a lot of money for that costume -- more than in previous years and those customes were of better quality from BuyCostume. Next year, I will be going elsewhere. L. Dalton, Maryland

Horrible site!

Horrible site! Buyers beware! I ordered a few costumes and halloween treat bags for my sons and only one of the treat bags came. When I called to inquire about the undelivered bag, the lady didn't know what was happening and kept putting me on hold to work things out. Finally she gave me the new order number and said the bag would be delivered. Three weeks later and it still isn't delivered. When I called this other lady who helped me sounded like she couldn't care less what was happening and kept putting me on hold for a long time. I asked for the status of the bag and she said that it was cancelled. She said that I'm an international address so they will not resend the bag and that they will not refund me for it even though I had paid for it and that it was not sent to me. She said they had tried to call me but when they couldn't reach me, they canceled the order regardless. I had never received any calls from them. In any case, if I pay for something, I expect it to be delivered regardless of whether I am from an international or local address! And if they cannot deliver then they need to refund me! You can't just keep someone's money and refuse to give them the product! Lousy business! DO NOT BUY!

It was quick easy, all I ordered came, and customer service was amazing. (Or so I've been told by a friend... I've never had to use it!) Costumes are super cute, and they have SO many options.

Transylvanian Vampire Child Costume #*******. Halloween costume incomplete. Missing medallion. Phoned customer service agent and asked that they send missing medallion in time for Halloween. I was informed that I would have to order another complete costume, pay for it in advance including shipping costs, and then mail back incomplete costume back to them, shipping costs at my expense. Once they received the incomplete costume back, I would be refunded the cost of a costume. However, to resolve the issue in this manner, I would have to pay a total of $29.99 EXTRA in shipping for a costume that costs $37.99. The medallion was the central to the 6 year old deciding to choose it. He was disappointed. The convenience of ordering online was lost in trying to replicate something that I had already paid for. The website's solution for an error they made would cost me money and I believe is was made, knowing that no sensible person would accept their solution.

They have costumes for every occasion. Right now, they have really cute Saint Patricks Day costumes. I love getting all dressed up for special occasions. As an adult, you need an excuse to go out in public in a fun costume. I am definitely eyeing some of those Saint Patricks Day costumes.

Easy, painless

Easy, painless. Shipped overseas to down under. Everything as ordered. Arrived in expected time frame. Was able to track the parcel. No hassles. They were very good, would use again.
