This was a f*#$+8G joke! I work hard for my money and they had no problem taking it with a GUARANTEED arrival date. Its in black and white and when I called on that date they told me i would receive a full refund... in 5 days. So I called now because it's been 6 days. Immediately ask to speak to the manager. And do you know she told me she was going to process my refund now. They had only issued a refund of $7. So i then said" What about 6 days ago when I was guaranteed my refund in 5 days. Even got an email so it's documented this is liable for a lawsuit." And she LAUGHED and said "yea OK ma'am ". I had four disappointed children that love dressing up with their parents. And now this place has my money. THIEVES. I guarantee a following lawsuit.
I ordered 5 items, 9 days beforw Halloween (Saturday), guaranteed to arrive ON or BEFORE the 29th (Thursday). On Thursday morning I received an email stating I had been credited for an item. I called customer service, waited on hold for 35 minutes. Found out they didnt have ny most important item, and the remaining items hadn't shipped yet. I live in the country, far from a costume store or even Walmart. We don't even have UPS service on Saturdays. 9 days before Halloween is PLENTY of time to get the items I ordered to me, and they SHOULD have notified me IMMEDIATELY that my item wasn't available. DO NOT buy from these people!
Inexisting customer service. The can't deliver as promised, not able to have any refund or send back the stock... In my case the sticker was incorrect and my order was delivered 3 days after Halloween... Don't make business with Buy Costumes
They're liars and crooks! 17 days to get my order after calling twice and having to wait on hold for more than 30 minutes each time, 4 days to get a response back to an email, lied to about when I would receive my items and what amount of $ I would be refunded for my inconvenience, & they removed an item from my order that they did not refund.
Ordered a costume and some accessories for my kids a week before Halloween and they still have not arrived on nov 2. Paid the expedited shipping cost of $30 and it meant nothing but more money for them. My kid had to wear last years costume and my other kids costume remained incomplete. Will never buy anything from this piece of sh! T company ever again.
Horrible! Ruined my babies first Halloween! Gave me trouble for refund, after I paid for express shipping to receive my item on Halloween it did not come and they did not let me know that it was in fact never gonna come! Put me on hold many times didn't care about how upset this made me and lied to me about sending me the items for free just to get me off phone

If I could give a zero I would. Now thanks to this worthless company I have no shoes or wig for my costume. Thanks for $#*!ing my Halloween up save ur money and buy from a respectable company cuz this is not
Very unrealiable. You should call regarding your order status since you wont be notified of any changes made to it. Order was never shipped and its passed the guaranteed delivery date. Now Ive been waiting x2 days for my order to be cancelled.
I ordered a costume 2 weeks before Halloween with priority shipping (2 business days). I called on the day it was supposed to be delivered because online my order said still processing. The woman I spoke to said that they were busier than expected but would ship it over night and I would have it tomorrow-it never came. Three days after that my husband called and they again guaranteed that they would ship it overnight. Twenty minutes after this call I got an email that they were cancelling my order because the costume was now out of stock. I will never order from this company again!
This is the worst company, ever! Do not buy from them! I to ordered far I. Advance and here it is the day before Halloween and still w/ o my sons costume! They promised me 6 days ago that they would upgrade my delivery, which 6 days later has not been done. Also funn how it states on their website that you can order by 2 today and Reese I. Time for Halloween tomorrow. Believe me, there is no way this is going to happen. I can't even get a costume that I ordered 3 weeks ago! Also, customer service has no clue! Again, do not order from this company!
It's now October 30th and still no costumes. Like everyone else who has commented, I waited on hold for 25 minutes and no one ever responded... and that was after I finally got through. The first three times I called, after I heard their automated greeting, the next thing I heard was "goodbye." Their customer service is non-existent! I ordered costumes for my daughters and myself well in advance. They were "guaranteed" to arrive well before I needed them. Well, I had to go buy last-minute costumes for my daughters to wear to school today because I am STILL WAITING for my order to arrive!
AWFUL. I ordered in well enough time for it to get here. It shipped 5 days later and now my husband and i don't have costumes for halloween. On the phone for over an hour for two different calls... I'm really upset, i've ordered before years ago no problem now it seems after reading the reviews on this site they are under new management. They need to fire them
The ABSOLUTE WORST company to deal with they lied to me and claimed my package was ' LOST IN TRANSIT" the carrier claims the item never left the warehouse. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY - THEY WILL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY

Last year they were amazing, this year new management has screwed this company up. After spending over 7 hours on the phone and calling 6 different times. My order placed on SEPTEMBER 5TH is still not here October 29th. I ordered my kids costumes and mine and they only shipped mine. I am ready to return it since I won't be dressing up Star Wars without my kids costumes. Now is too late to get anything Star Wars. This company has lost their good costumer service. Don't order.
Paid for overnight delivery on 10/28. Costume was not delivered by UPS, since per UPS they did not deliver to UPS on time. Hopefully I will receive it today. Tried calling many times, on hold endlessly, nobody ever answered. Emailed them twice as well, no answer.
Will tell everyone I know, to NEVER use this company.
I've ordered costumes from their site for the past four years and have always been extremely pleased with their fast shipping and quality. This year I ordered a costume on October 16th and when it still hadn't been shipped on the 23rd I emailed them with no response. I emailed the 26th as well, no response. The 27th I called and sat on hold for about 15 minutes and finally talked to someone who said they couldn't guarantee I would get my costume for the 31st. I cancelled and had to scramble to find another costume. They're still sending me emails saying "Order last minute!"... Why say that when you can't even ship out the orders you had from the middle of the month? Very disappointed.
I ordered my childs costume well in advanced with few misc items. They didn't email until the evening that my order was to be delivered 10/27/15 that ONE of the items was out of stock. The costume was still available to information given. Nothing that was in stock was ever shipped. I couldn't reach anyone via 800# on hold twice for over 30min then hung up. By luck had IM chat with them which then they confirm non of my order shipped now days before Halloween have to find last minute costume for my son! NOT HAPPY
Like many others, I paid the "guaranteed shipping" fee and was given a delivery date of 10/28. IT LEFT THE WAREHOUSE ON 10/28! (I only found this out because I called and waited on hold for 37 minutes.)The only silver lining is that companies that do business like this never stay in business for very long.
I ordered a costume for my 2 year old son on 10/19 and paid the "Guaranteed" shipping price of $13.99 to have it by 10/22 so my son could go to 2 halloween parties over the weekend. I did not receive it on the 22nd so I called and talked to 2 separate people who promised it would be at my house in time for party #1 on Saturday. I had to go out and purchase a 2nd costume for the weekend... I called Tuesday 10/27 because it still has not been received... I was promised that I would have the costume today 10/28... I instead have received an email that the order was cancelled due to inventory issues! Are you kidding me? This is THE worst company I have ever dealt with and will never use them again! I hope anyone looking for a costume reads this and does not shop with Buy Costumes.com!
Answer: I have never responded to any reviews, but I have to is time- this is not a legit company- it is a hoax- do not give them your money. Every word you have read is the truth.
