The Long Branch store had taken over 2 thousand dollars as payment in full for my daughters nursery over 2 months ago and when we called to find out the delivery status we were told they never put the order in, although we are holding the printed order in our hands they do not have furniture for us, the store employees show no empathy for the error and do not return calls. You cannot make this up. 8 weeks away from baby's due date we are now to search for furniture and hope for a refund timely. Shame on you BuyBuyBaby... The worst experience you could possibly have! Beware consumers!
Terrible customer service. I would not shop at buy buy baby again. I have 8 items off my registry that I never received. I have been back and forth for the past 3 weeks with customer service. Everyone tells me something different. One agent was able to locate the items and two other agents said they couldn't. I have been bounced around from supervisor to supervisor who tell me they will get back to me but no one has. All I want are the items that were purchased but customer service continues to not give me a straight answer.
Slow shipping. Placed order for in stock items on 10/21. As of 10/26 order still shows awaiting customer pickup. Not a good sign. I should have ordered from Amazon.
Worst company ever. I placed an order 10/1 they charged me 10/3. Its now 10/17 and the order is nowhere to be found. I spoke to a supervisor to have the order ready at a local store and they were out of all 4 items. They said they would reorder the items. Why would I want to. I will never shop there again.
We have been having an awful time with our registry. We had only one item bought off our registry and it looked like at least four things were bought in the thank yous. We found out that that no one had bought anything and what we needed was removed because it said it was bought. It was brought to our attention right before giving birth and we never had a shower. Family asked us if we have a registry and to make one and now we didn't have any sort of celebration and we're rushing around trying to get ready for the baby who had nothing and now we're weeks away. The customer service also never corrected the errors. They didn't even speak English and answered with ohhh huh and didn't understand what I said. I called a handful of times and no help. In fact they were impossible to hear like they were on the other side of the planet far. This was a huge mistake!
My son registered and I ordered them a baby stroller. They sent it to his old address in Nevada instead of Texas even though the correct address was on the registry! I contacted them via email and they replied asking for the correct address so they could send a replacement stroller. I gave it to them and asked what to do about the stroller in Nevada. No reply. I emailed a second time and no reply although the website guarantees a response within 72 hours. Also, my son never got the replacement stroller. Then I called and they knew nothing about the replacement stroller! After talking to a rep for almost 30 minutes, they said they would ship the replacement stroller in 5-7 business days and get back to me about what to do about the one in Nevada. No stroller and no reply! Additionally, I spent extra money to get the one in Nevada shipped to my son. I've sent a third email with a canned response. Do not buy from them.
Received a gift for my baby shower. Unfortunately had to return the gift. Went on their website and it clearly states - gift purchaser will have no idea that you returned the gift. I drove to fedex shipped it off and 9 days later haven't heard anything. I tracked the package which was delivered - I emailed support twice in 4 days never heard back. Call wait time was over an hour so I called at 6am PST this morning got someone right away to tell me that they shipped a visa gift card to the purchaser. Nothing they could do. I asked why and the gentleman I spoke to did not have an answer other than well if she bought it she gets the return. I'm like that's NOT how gift returns work ANYWHERE else. He's like it's too late. HORRIBLE company. Lies on their website. And now I can't get something I actually need and the gift giver knows I returned it.
Horrible customer service! Don't waste your time and don't do a registry here. You will get duplicate gifts because they do not take the gift you purchase off the registry. If they don't and you try to get it fixed there is not one person in the Scarsdale store that can fix it. They try, but not one person is trained on how to remove gifts purchased off the registry. I have spent eight hours today on the phone trying to get it fixed. Don't bother calling the 800 customer service number as they can only fix online orders. This was the worst shopping experience I ever had in a store. I will continue to write reviews on this store until they fix it. I would rate it no stars but they do not offer that option.
I recently purchased a $1400 bugaboo stroller on buybuybaby's website. And when it arrived, it was a USED stroller, with scratches and marks, that had been repackaged and sent to me. Some of the pieces were even still connected together (not completely disassembled before repacking.).
Unfortunately customer service was no help, offering only a refund, which itself required me to go to a FedEx (in NYC. With no car. With a 30 lb box). Or go out and print a return label and schedule a pick up. So either way, at cost to myself of them send me a used product, for $1400. Unbelievable. Will never use again.
I understand COVID has effected everything but it's been a week since I put in a complaint that I never received a product I paid for. I tried calling but the optimistic hold voice said I would reach a representative in 45 minutes or less. I just didn't have that time to sit on hold. Then I received another order (much more expensive piece) and it's box was heavily damaged during shipment. When I opened it, part of it was broke. I've started that exchange process but still haven't heard back from them for 3 days. I tried emailing only to get an automated response saying that the email wasn't been monitored. What am I supposed to do? I've got broken high chair and missing a toy. I will not be buying anything on their online store again with such poor customer service.
I recently went to the Totowa New Jersey store of buybuy baby to purchase a gift from the registry. I waited 20 minutes for someone To help me. When they finally came, it took them another 20 minutes to figure out what it was I needed. They were not happy that I wasn't walking out of the store with the item but sending it to an out-of-state friend. Then, I stood online to purchase some small items. There were at least 10 people ahead of me and only 1 person working the register. It's no wonder stores are closing and people are doing more shopping online. I am in sales myself. If I treated my customers like this, I'd be out of business as well. It's very, very frustrating!
I made a purchase because a friend had her baby registry there. I am now constantly spammed by buybuybaby.com. I carefully made sure during my purchase that I unclicked the "subscribe me" box, have unsubscribed, and have written to ask to be removed. Still getting spammed. Do yourself a favor and purchase elsewhere if possible.
I ordered a night light and socks that were supposed to be gift wrapped which were not and no wrapping paper enclosed. I paid 4.49 for socks that were plainly marked 1.99. I'm going to get my niece to try the night light right away to see if the thing even works. Who runs this place!
My wife and I ordered a dresser and crib online. We live on the 3rd floor of the building. When it was delivered they left the delivery in an unsecured area on a pallet right at the entrance to the building. The items weighed over 100 lbs and my wife is 6 months pregnant. When I spoke to customer service about how my wife was supposed to get the stuff up to the apartment they said it was "basic" delivery and there was nothing they could do. Who delivers over 100lbs of baby items to a pregnant woman and leaves it at the entrance to an apartment? BuyBuyBaby does.
8/11/20 Received a dresser I ordered with signifigant damage and had to wait 6+ hours to talk to someone due to "high call volume". When I finally got through, I was told I needed to talk to someone else, and that the wait time would be three days.
8/14/20 Customer service requested pictures of the damage (which were sent) and assured me that they would "start the return process".
8/18/20 Damaged dresser is picked up by Buy Buy Baby's carrier.
8/25/20 Wrote to inquire about refund status. They replied, "I have submitted for you to be refunded which will be credited back to your original form of payment. The refund may take between 7-10 business days to reflect back into your account."
9/2/20 Wrote to inquire about refund status. No response after 14 days.
9/9/20 Wrote to inquire about refund status. No response after 7 days.
9/12/20 Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
9/16/20 Filed a dispute of the original charge with my credit card company.
I believed this to be a reputable company and am SHOCKED at how horrible this experience has been. They have my $662.39 and the damaged merchandise. They have not responded to my inquiries in over three weeks, and no refund has been issued, but they send me constant advertisements and surveys about their so called "customer service".
STAY FAR AWAY, especially for large or expensive items.
Three of the four products delivered were not only moldy, but also damaged. Their customer service department takes hours to answer phones and then does not follow through with their promises. Avoid this company. They are the worst on line store I have ever encountered.
DONT DO IT! Dealing with this company is nearly impossible because 1. They outsource their costumer service to India and you won't be able to understand A word.
2. If you dare to cancel and order because the vendor doesn't have the item and won't be getting it by "estimated delivery time" you will still get charged 20% for "home delivery services" that NEVER even happened. Save yourself the STRESS of dealing with these poorly managed company specially if you are pregnant.
Customer service, there isn't one. I tried to call the support line there was an hour wait. E-mailed the support system they told me to do. Suppose to get back to me in 72 hours. Did not happen. I needed to change the shipping address that they put in. I filled out the correct information
They had the right person but put my billing address in. Never dealt with a customer service that took so long to help with a problem
BuyBuyBaby has the WORST customer service ever!
A large furniture item was purchased from our baby registry and when it came time for the delivery the delivery man rang my doorbell and said "‘ma'am I apologize but your furniture is too broken to take off the truck, we're taking it back to the warehouse". Okay, fine... I called the delivery service to request another delivery for this item to which they told me I had to call buy buy baby and reorder it...
So I called buybuybaby and would be on hold for over an hour each time... being fed up by this long wait I would just hang up... on the 9th attempt (in a week span) to call I said whatever let me just wait. Someone FINALLY picked up after I was on hold for 2hours and 8 minutes to be exact and said the order was canceled and offered me store credit for the sale price. I said absolutely $#*!ing NOT this item was paid for at full price and was charged an arm and a leg for delivery services and I want my damn furniture ASAP!
So he said fine let's reorder... okay fine... we reordered (this was a week and a half ago). He said they'll email me a confirmation and the delivery team will call and schedule delivery... A few days went by, nothing!
I called again... another 2 hours on hold... they said "yess ma'am your order is processed and I will put a red flag on your account so they can call you for delivery ASAP ". Waited a few days... again... NOTHING!
Called back 2 days later and they gave me the same BS story. And yet again I am still waiting for a delivery confirmation and a phone call to schedule...
This whole ordeal has been going on since august 6th and it's now almost September... how can they put a pregnant lady through all this aggravation and stress? I need to get my daughter's room ready and I can't because of this!
So now my fully paid for item is lost somewhere and I can't get straight answers from anywhere!
This is absolutely unacceptable and I am totally and completely disgusted with them!

Manager Michael was very rude, after my sister & I explained to manager Michael about 10 times the adapter buybuy sold me did not work with the car seat. He had me stand waiting with my 6 DAY old newborn baby & 3 year old for 30 minuets while he did god knows what at the register. At the end he admitted buybuy sold me the wrong adapter but did not even apologize BUT had us wait an additional 20 minuets, I had my receipt/cc card & items were still in boxes. Michelle is a liability to buy buy Baby... unsatisfied customer
