I order my children's Christmas gifts with Buy Buy Baby on Black Friday. They kept sending me e mails about a specific item being delayed for shipping. They sent an e mail saying all my other items had been shipped but there was no way to track the package. They provided a tracking number but it didn't link to any carrier services. I called customer because almost 2 weeks later the item that they kept saying was delayed for shipment they notified me that is was now OUT OF STOCK. How can you purchase an item and then it be out of stock! The agent then told me that they tried to deliver my other items but wasn't able to access my building. I was never notified about the fail deliver attempt nor sent any e mail regarding it. She gave me some international phone number to call for the carrier. I am beyond upset because this is the ABSOLUTE worse customer service level I've received dealing with them. I will NEVER purchase anything with them again. If anyone is wanting to buy from this company I strongly encourage doing so in store.

After waiting on the phone for an average of 45 min several times, trying their chat function just to have a robot tell me that it's looking into my order for 1.5 hours, and just never being able to get actual help from someone, I would recommend to anyone to think twice before buying anything from this store. The customer service is awful and its existence has no other purpose than to pretend that they actually deal with customers. They don't- they just leave you hanging.

Less than one star

If I could give less than one star I would! Buy buy to Buy Buy Baby. Worst customer service. Horrible online market shopping and shipping is inaccurate. Thank goodness for Target to save the day! And my bank to back me up. Thank First Community Credit Union for always having my best interest and safe banking needs. I absolutely would never recommend Buy Buy Baby to any family enless you want your money taken and get nothing from it but a headache. Just horrible people.

Disgraceful

I ordered a substantial baby gift directly from the BuyBuyBaby registry and was sent the wrong item. I contacted customer service and was told it would be picked up by FedEx and a replacement would be sent in return once they received the returned item. Originally they wanted me to lug the huge heavy box to a brick and mortar store to exchange it. If I wanted to do that I wouldn't have placed my order online. The item was picked up on 10/27 and was received by BuyBuyBaby on 10/28. I heard nothing so contacted customer service again. They had no information. When I got home from work I looked up the FedEx number to confirm it was received and found out the received it a week ago! For the 3rd time I contacted ButBuyBaby. They still asked the same questions even though all the information is listed several times in the continued chat. The punchline is that NO REPLACEMENT HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED YET! They've had my money AND the returned item for a week yet didn't think it'd be a good idea to send me the replacement of the correct item! Wait, what? So now they claim the replacement tracking number will be available in 24-48 hours. Seriously? After not having done anything for a week I now have to wait another 24-48 hours additional for confirmation that this is actually going to be delivered? Under these negligent circumstances it should be delivered tomorrow. Or at the very least a tracking number should be immediately available. And what are the odds that the correct item will be sent this time? I've lost complete confidence and respect for this company. Consumers have so many options these days that there's no reason for me to continue to be a loyal customer here. Buyer beware.

I ordered about 5 or 6 items and they let me down only once due to poor delivery service. It was tricky to contact them (try online chat) but, eventually, they tried their best to satisfy us.

Worst Experience Ever
October 6, 2021

As we get ready to welcome our very first grandchild, I traveled 45 minutes to get to buybuy BABY where the expecting parents are registered. Nothing on their registry displayed. No one in the store to assist. Went to registry where manager Jason spent almost 3 hours trying to find items and then a computer that worked to order my items online for delivery. 20% coupon not given on most expensive item as promised. Spent one hour on the phone getting that resolved after I got home. Delivery promised September 14. I called September 15 after no delivery. Recording saying order canceled for nonpayment. Spoke to companies customer service saying they have no record of payment as I stand here with my receipt for $1312. 28!
They actually told me to bring my receipt back into the store for a refund! Hours of phone calls later by several people calling themselves the store manager order rescheduled for delivery. Delivery never shows. I'll call store manager again who tells me that the items ordered for a surprise baby shower have been delivered to the parents to be ruining a complete surprise. I cried! I was actually told, I was called to verify delivery address, a complete lie. Why would I ruin my own surprise? Management said this experience was unacceptable and apologized. They would mail me a gift certificate (NO…. They would ship overnight) so that I would have something to present at the baby shower. That was now two weeks ago. I have never been so disappointing!
Please, do not patronize a business that could care less about its customers!
Target and Burlington have great selections at half the price!

Definitely Don't Buy Online

So, I bought a gift from a baby registry for an expectant mother. Exactly 52 minutes after I purchased the gift the mother said she JUST received a notification and was getting ahold of me right away because someone had already purchased the gift. To which I immediately hung up and went to cancel the order and choose something else. Should be simple, right? Wrong. Apparently BuyBuyBaby has a 30 MINUTE REGRETS policy... seriously 30 minutes! So I confirmed with the mother that she had literally JUST RECEIVED word of the purchase. How convenient. The worst part is I'm having it delivered to my parents house in Florida because I live in another state. I have been informed that my only option will be to arrive in Florida, return the gift in person and receive a refund minus the shipping and handling. What really ticks me off is that their excuse for the 30 minute 'Regrets' policy is that their team works as quickly as possible to fulfill the orders and may have already done the process. Well, that was Saturday and this is Thursday and I JUST RECEIVED WORD that the order has finally been processed and is ready to be shipped. Hmmm... seems like sometime between Saturday and Thursday SOMEONE, any one, could have cancelled that order. Now the mother feels bad because I'm out about $170.00 and need to go through the hassle of returning the item and getting something new just days before the shower! Well, you can be assured that whatever I get... it WON'T BE FROM BUYBUYBABY! Deplorable conflict resolution and ridiculous policies.

We bought a mattress that costs nearly $300. The store just shipped the mattress without any packaging! The manufacturer's plastic bag that wraps the mattress was ripped in multiple places, and the mattress cover got dirty. We couldn't clean it all off.

Scam!

My large order was delivered to NY when I'm in CA. They don't know why but they can't do anything besides blame their vendors and have me wait 14 days to get a replacement! I invested hours on the phone with customer service and live hat for them just to be sassy and repeat the same automatic scripted answer. All k asked was to get my pacakage 7 days after I had placed my order!

False advertising

Went to their website and a window popped up stating enter your email and receive 20% off this order. The instructions said that the discount will be applied at check out. I found a gift for my expecting daughter, added it to my cart, filled out all the information and proceeded to check out. Offer declined and cannot be used for this item. I called customer service and was told sorry can't use a discount on this item. Told the agent that it was buybuy Baby who presented the offer then rescinded it at check out, not cool. She was unable to help and when I asked for a manager I was told a manager cannot help. I feel I was sucked in to filling out my info and then rejected because the 20% discount would have been approximately $70. Poor customer service and an untrustworthy company.

Went to make a purchase of several items, and wanted to use 2 coupons, different expiration dates but both for 20% off. The cashier said the register says you can't use both, I asked why and she flipped the screen to show me the message, I asked to speak to a manager and she told me the same thing the cashier said, she also said a lot of people have the same issue, blame it on corporate and walked away! I needed both items for my newborn nephew so I didn't have time to go somewhere else, but I will never go there again! The treatment and response was unacceptable!

Ordered this product it has been delayed for days from the time it's Suppose to got here kept calling kept getting the run around they do not help you advise you to shop somewhere else And they even went as far as tell me I did not have a fedex close to me and that is a lie I get fedex deliveries all the time by other companies I have a fedex store 6 miles away from my house.

We received a duplicate item from our baby registry from Buy Buy Baby and we don't have the receipt so now we had to ask for the receipt from the purchaser (which is a bit awkward) or lose 20% towards our Merchandise credit when we return the item. Shameful. We won't be buying anything from Buy Buy Baby in the future or their parent company Bed, Bath and Beyond for ourselves nor for our friends who are having children. Plenty of other reputable merchandisers/vendors who make registry returns hassle free. Hope their penny pinching policy was worth losing potential lifelong customers over.

Shipping Nightmare

Ordered items on March 15,2021. Items are for a virtual baby shower on March 27. Received email conformation of order saying delivery date was March 19. Next day I received another email says revised delivery for March 20. Initiated online chat at Buybuy baby web site. Was told to be rest assured it would be delivered on or before March 26. All tracking info says delivery date will be March 30. I called and spoke with someone today March 22 and was told item delivery date is March 30. There is nothing they can do about it. Now I won't have the items for the baby shower. When I placed the order, there were no warnings of possible delivery delays. Very unprofessional and frustrating. Will never order from the company again

Buy BUY Baby - terrible customer service

I bought a bedroom in a box for my niece. The day it arrived we started assembling the pieces. The dresser was cracked and not able to be put together. I immediately called and was on hold for an hour plus told I had to send pictures. I took the pictures was told Buy Buy Bbay would contact their vendor and get this taken care of. A week or so went by and then they asked what product code was damaged. I found this absurd considering I bought the product from them. Either way gave the the product code. A few more weeks went buy with no communications. I sent a follow up email on 1-9-21 and no communications. I sent another follow up email on 2-5-21 and yet again no communications. I just sent another communications and we will see what happens. But needless to say the baby was already born in early December and it is March 11 and still no dresser or changing table since it was all goes together.

If I were buying any more baby items I would go anywhere except Buy Buy Baby, which is affiliated with Bed Bath Beyond, as that is where you have to file complaints or damaged items. They are simply terrible. I am stunned they haven't been taken to court or shut down.

DO NOT BUY, received two and both were damaged.
We only ordered this dresser because it matched the crib. It took forever to get in. When it arrived it was cracked and damaged. The customer service department was a nightmare to deal with. We finally were able to return it. A replacement was delivered about a month later. The replacement is worse than the first. The box was completely damaged. The dresser has a terrible paint job. We removed the drawers to find more cracks and damage. There was visible damage all over it. The customer service department again was a nightmare and did not offer any reasonable solution and now the dresser is back to being out of stock. We have to find a way to fix all of the damage and try and match the paint (which seems difficult because of the color). I have moved my registry to another site because of the rude customer service department. Save yourself time and money and use a different company. Very disappointed.

I would like to have a shout out to the bye bye baby company and there amazing work on helping my family. Back on November 16,2020 I had my first child Scott born 3.5months premature in London Victoria hospital where he currently is still. Family friend had purchased a 4in1 crib for me but passed away 2days later. When my mother went to grab the crib from the family, she got it home and I was beyond excited to see it and put it together. Unfortunately the headboard had a huge crack in it and wasn't usable. My mother called the company and spoke to Joy a lovely lady who went above and beyond to help us with this matter. She was super helpful, caring and nice. Overall excellent customer service and we were grateful to have a brand new headboard ordered for us in few weeks. Now I have it and put all together luckily for my son to soon come home so we can begin our family life together. Thanks to Joy and the company for the amazing customer experience and going to all measures to help us. Sammy, Kenny, Scott, Lynda and Rodney.
