My red heeler ended up getting heart worms when I was away from her for 9 months. My family wasn't able to care for her like I was able to. When I came home my beautiful Snuggles ended up with heart worms! 😔😭 I got her the heart worm treatment from the Vet, but unfortunately I know it shortened her life span. I had to put her down at 12 yrs of age when I know she could have lived at least 3 or 4 more years!
