Book the ticket with this rubbish budget air 8th of March 2020 after 1-week airline announced all the flight has been cancelled try to call the budget air for refund the phone line being not functional email them five or six time no reply back don't know what what going to happen with my refund which is nearly £2700 pay by credit card contact my credit card company never gonna use this rubbish company I have got no money to run my house borrowing money from the friend and family and these Corona crisis
Never use them. Liars, scammers, never answer calls. Not refunding my money.
I've been trying to contact them since March, but to no avail. I am taking it to the court.
Budget Air have just caused me the loss of $4700 for a premium economy ticket by not replying to my multiple requests to change the dates of my flights. I was given incorrect advice via email than advertised on their website. They did not answer phones. Operating hours were wrong and they did not reply to emails. I threatened them etc and still no email dialogue continued. I could not find an actual address for them either. I am taking legal action but heed my advice. NEVER EVER book through Budget Air. I am giving one because I cannot give a negative one
My flight was canceled due to Covid 19 on Mar 29 and until now they have not refunded and no proper communication Be careful peeps
Also let me know if any legal action can be done
Avoid using Budgetair at all costs, their customer service is non existent, their added travel insurance is really just a revenue stream for this company. I cancelled my airticket in early February due to emergency surgery and since then I have yet to get anyone from their company to answer the phone or emails. It is now 23 April so I doubt I will ever see a refund or confirmation of a non refund so my own travel insurance company can refund me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
We booked a flight from Sydney AU NRT, YVR Departure March 19, they booked it for March 18 instead, unable to contact them sent numbers of email and never got a reply, using the corona virus to steal peoples money, we are out $ 7136. 00 the airline JAL never received payment from them, had to buy new tickets directly from JAL cost $7575. 00
We booked a flight with this mob on 8 March but had to cancel on same day due to our cruise being cancelled. At that time they offered a phone service (Since closed) and I was advised that we would receive a partial refund within 15 working days. That time has now passed and despite many emails to them all you get back is a message that says "Please re-confirm request" and then a whole lot of rubbish about how busy they are. They have NEVER got back to me in response to my emails. Consumer Affairs is my next point of call. KEEP AWAY FROM THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS.
Only giving one star becuase it wouldnt allow me to do zero.
An absolute sham of a company - a disgrace who will essentially steal your money, not provide a service and never ever respond to any communications what so ever. If you want to buy fake tickets, not get where you want to go and have more money than was agreed taken from your account, then this is the "company" for you
Not one reply to a stranded customer. Disgusting.
How am I supposed to get home. Where's my refund, where's my email, where's my support. Zero.
Most horrific company I have ever ordered from. Not only was there no communication on their behalf in difficult times, the website didn't allow me to cancel my flight that was from London to Los Angeles, California. Even when I had booked refund protection and spent a total of 360 pounds on a return flight they also denied my claim back for a refund that was based on a travel ban from the US for non residents. NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY, they are absolute scammers and you will definitely not get your money back. Even if its because of things out of your control. Also DON'T waste money on refund protect since they DO NOT HELP and will find a way TO NOT refund your money. There goes my 360 pounds for a trip that I didn't even took. Thanks a lot budget air and refund protect.
I booked my flight from them. The worst customer service ever... Tried to reach them 15 days before my flight, didnt even got a single proper response. Sent them email everyday to both the indian customer service center as well as canadian center and I got all the automatic replies back except the 2 response I got which were like for changing flight you have to pay, every flight has their own changing fee and if you want to change call us.And when you call them the automatic reply over there is due to coronavirus outbreak, we are experiencing higher volume send us email. Where the hell should one go in this case.
I even paid extra for Service Package Premium when I bought the ticket which allows me to waive the administrative fee. Its better to book flight either from direct airlines website or some better website.
My ticket was even cheap. I paid approx $1550 considering I booked my flight in December beginning for March end.
The worst company I have ever dealt with. Total scammers.
Never answers the calls, charges extra money for changing for free the flight dates and never fulfill its commitments.
I had to call directly to the air company and paid an enormous amount of money for changing the flight.

SCAM
SCAM, they give you an option to cancel flight within 24 hours but when you call them, they pick up the phone in less than 1 min. BUT then they put you through to cancelation department which they put you on hold for 3 to 4 hours. They do this so you don't have no chance of solving the issue. Thats cheap technic to scamming people. So disappointed and very costly
I booked a flight through Budget Air In June 2019, but had to cancel it one day later. After speaking to customer service agent I was assured I would receive my refund within 45 days. It has now been 8 months, and I have spend countless hours on hold with them inquiring about my refund. On the two occasions I have actually got through to an agent I was assured that they would fix the mistake and issue the refund immediately, and that I would receive it within 3 weeks. Still haven't received it. I do appreciate that your company is very busy due to the current global situation. However, I have been waiting over 8 months for this refund. My booking number is *******. I would appreciate if this issue was resolved today.
This company is criminal, irresponsible and a complete joke. They changed flights that I had already booked from a 9 hour journey to a 30+ hour journey which would cause me to miss an important scuba diving exam the next day which had already been booked and paid for. When tyring to contact them (from Japan where I was already on my holiday) they completely ignored all emails and hung up the phone after an hour of being on hold. They have caused me days of stress and time wasted on what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. I will absolutely never use them again and at this point I'm fairly sure I will never hear from them. Please when booking flights DO NOT use this company. Go elsewhere, pay £50 extra and save yourself a whole lot of headaches from their awful customer service and negligent practices. How they have not been shut down is a mystery. Please tell your friends to AVOID!
This must be the worst customer care in the world shocking!
After paying and buying the premium package they offer
You get no help whatsoever! After 4 long phone calls with waiting time on hold for over 40min and one of the time I got hang up...
Needed to change a flight due to the the ongoing virus, 3 days trying to contact them and when I did they offered little to no help... They told me I have to contact the airline directly which I did. The airline says the ticket belongs to them and they have to do the amendments not the airline and why I was made to call the airline.
After 4 to 5 more calls (costing me quite a bit) the airline agreed to refund but they had to refund the money back to budgetair as the ticket belongs to them and they to forward that money back to me... THIS THEY HAVE KEPT MY REFUND FOR THE TICKETS and I have not seen a penny!... Ignoring my emails. SCAM AND ROBBERS. Avoid and book directly from airline... Hope this will help other people not to full in this trap of ruthless travel agents..
So final update from the story started below. After 4 days of procrastination from budgetair.co.uk their final response is... your flight change remains the same. So in effect all the talk about helping find a solution to the absurd time change (leaving at 09:00 and arriving at 21:40) has rendered no change, as I expected.
Also because it has taken 4 days, all the decent prices for the 11:45 to 20:55 outward service are finished. Yesterday morning I saw flights for this service at £550. Now they are £700.
As the title says, Absolutely Abysmal.
Safe to say that I've learnt a painful lesson about using these types of companies to buy airline tickets. When there are no changes, everything goes well. But if the airline changes the schedule, DON'T EXPECT ANY HELP.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS COMPANY.
I'm in the middle of a flight issue with this organisation and so far I'm not happy with what I've seen.
Booked an air France flight with them that was meant to get me to my destination at 17:45 after a 9am Heathrow departure.
Received an email this morning telling me the chosen flight has been cancelled and I'm now on the same departure but arriving 21:40.
Spent over an hour on the phone to Budget Air, only to be told "we'll review other options and get back to you within 4 days".
Four days? I know that KLM (same family as air France) have an 11:45 departure that arrives at the same destination at 20:55. Not ideal but better that a 10 hour 40 minute travel day.
I'm not confident that I'll get the result I want.
Either way, I'll never use Budget Air again.
BudgetAir is a company which looks like a criminal agency. Please do not take any risk with it because they do not provide any service to their customers, they just use them to make their own money as taking the money from us, the customers. So they did to me: I booked the ticket, then my flight was cancelled, and no refund, just promisses that soon I would get it. I have been waiting for my money refund for seven months already and still nothing. That is why I can say that my money was stolen by BudgetAir.
BE AWARE! Do not trust this company as you can loose your money as well.
I have had the most disappointing experience with Budgetair - which nearly ruined the holiday of a lifetime.
In a few bullet points:
- we booked our tickets through budget air from Jakarta to Sorong for a dive trip with fixed dates
- the airline emailed me saying the flights were cancelled and that they will refund me through budget air
- I contacted budget air - they said the fights were still going, the airline company representative also contacted them via phone AND email copying me stating that the airline will re-imburse the flights
- Budget air did not provide any explanation for refusing to refund me, then even asked me to pay a fee! They also refused to answer any email or call after that.
They kept nearly 500USD that the airline repeatedly said they are happy to re-reimburse, created a lot of stress, we had to rebook tickets by ourselves, pay additional luggage fees.
For the little money we saved booking through them we lost a lot more at the end, plus our sanity. I will always book directly with the airline after that experience
Prior to this occasion, I had used budgetair.com/en_ca several times successfully without any issues. I always received my tickets, confirmation numbers and receipts within 24 hours or less, and everything was accurately done without exception.
Unfortunately, my most recent experience was different. I bought 3 different tickets on the Canadian version of the website, and the webpage showed the Canadian flag in the upper right corner along with a "c" before all of the dollar signs before the prices. I had assumed, given that I was searching on the Canadian version of the website and that all of the prices were quoted in Canadian dollars, that my credit card would be charged in CAD.
You can imagine that I was then disappointed when I received my credit card statement this month, and learned that two of the three tickets were charged in the "USD equivalent," not taking into account that most Canadian credit cards charge a 3 (or greater) % foreign transaction fee per transaction. I contacted BudgetAir and was initially told that I had been charged in CAD and that they did not know what the fuss was about. In a subsequent email, I received an apology and was told 'there is nothing we can do about this, as the airlines charge in whatever currency they choose...'
If that is the case, then why quote customers in CAD on a 'Canadian travel' website? Just quote the local currencies that the airlines choose to use, so people know what they're paying and in what currency.
Though they generally do have great prices, after this experience, we are unlikely to use them again.
