Brilliant Directories is the best product in the market.
I am using Brilliant Directories from last two days. It's easier to use and setup. Everything is well documented. It's 100 % reliable directories portal.
However, what I don't like is that Brilliant Directories staff are useless in managing their time and responding.
I fixed an appointment in their system, but they didn't show up and wasted my time. Definitely they have poor management and I hope they will improve.
To conclude, Brilliant Directories is an excellent product.
We are converting to an online Directory from a print version. I have checked out many options and even had an account with a competitor. Brilliant Directories has more features and a lot of online and human support. There are hundreds of videos to help with setup and online support. For advanced users, there are many features to customize your site and add functionality. Recommended.
Before signing up with BD, I contracted on- and offshore developers to create a custom site using Drupal - PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Both contractors over promised and under delivered. The coding and files were crap! So I bought a Wordpress theme that had some of my required functionality and hired a developer to configure and style the theme with some plugins. The developer didn't understand the theme, causing me to lose more go to market time and revenue opportunities.
Therefore, I quickly severed the ties with the WP developer and spent a few months trying to grasp the theme authors' development logic. ARGH! Their logic wasn't logically. My trying to configure the site and get all the plugins fully functional drove me NUTS! So I searched for a directory software, found BD, spoke with Dennis, got my 30+ questions answered, and was convinced BD can meet my site and business goals. Now I'm in the process of configuring and branding my site and hope to launch soon.
My 4 star rating is because I'm still getting acclimated to the software's capabilities as a paid member. Plus, a few times I had to re-configure some sections because the system didn't save my entries or took too long to save, which may have timed out. Or perhaps it's re-populating my saved content from the demo site and it's just a matter of my clearing my cache.
But so far so good.
Tons of features built into the product already, managed hosting included, looks pretty close to turn key. I decided to use a Brilliant Directory site vs. coding one from scratch, or by heavily customizing a wordpress install. Look forward to setting up our new directory site!

After much research I decided to go with Brilliant Directories to create my directory website because they offered all the features that I was looking for, along with their pricing, of all the sites I looked at theirs was the best value!
For ten years I have been developing a plan to revitalize the industry that I know best, but the piece that I was missing was the internet site part of it. When the Government of Canada, Department of Canadian Heritage, and the Office of French Language Services of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care financed our interpretation application for the ministry of health, we needed to find a platform that allowed us to easily and quickly build, customize, and manage our website and mobile app landing page.
We first tried using WordPress but customizing third-party themes and getting multiple plugins to work correctly with one another proved to be far too difficult and time consuming. We even rented multiple web developers to get WordPress to work for us but they were too costly and couldn't build us the website we needed.
Brilliant Directories' stock Bootstrap theme is beautiful and functional and has more features than we even need (but are happy to have!). Our in-house team was able to quickly make custom design changes while maintaining the functionality of the website. We opted for their Professional Onboarding Plan which was definitely worth the money - saved us loads of time and helped get us up to speed on the platform. Now our team can manage the website without a problem.
