Bridgecrest and DriveTime needs to be more careful because the new law states they can not call someone more than 7 times within a week for a bill or it becomes unlawful harassment. I've already had 9 by Wed. I have been monitoring them. I had become negative $1 Million dollars while being un-employed, and then start a job and before two weeks of being there I get Covid. They didn't care. They said there was nothing they could do and the next day my car was due for repo. And said I had to make a double payment because it would be due for repossession two days later. How is that possible? The 1st and the 3rd! I also told them it would be paid off in full in the next day of two for refinancing my home just to pay that stupid RAGEDY car of theirs off and they still made me pay! They don't care what your situation is they claim they can not do anything with late fees, to help with the interest. Even your pay off that is supposed to be good for ten days adds interest every day. A pay off quote that's good for however many days should stay the same for those amount of days! I regret sending three people to them to get their vehicles now. I have had my car since 2016 and owe more than than the purchase price. From someone who has always had perfect credit until lifes events recently, Idk how they sleep at night knowing they do this kind of work. Scamming and stealing from ppl. I understand if someone cant get financed somewhere else BUT PLEASE MAKE THIS YOUR LASSSSSSSSSST OPTION BEFORE YOU DO IT... TRUST ME!
I had a mobile service provider (approved by Bridgecrest) to come out and service my vehicle due to error messages on the car. The wrench tech said my "Differential Clutch Pump" was bad but they reset my error code. The wrench tech said they couldn't help and I had to go to another repair shop. Bridgecrest didn't believe the wrench tech and told the new company to replicate the error (after it had been reset). They couldn't and now I have a car that is possibly broken.
The second repair company, Olathe Auto Clinic (in Kansas) is a joke and so is Bridgecrest. I will NEVER use either company again.
Sold my car to a dealer, who paid off my loan to Bridgecrest. 2 weeks later, they were finally ready to release the lien. The dealer asked them to fax or Fedex to them, but they refused, insisting on sending it through regular mail. 5 days later and counting, the dealer has still not received the release. Of course, the dealer can't pay me until they get this. Each time I call, I get a different story, but nobody will help expedite this process.
I called to change my due date on my auto payment, you can't do it on their website you have to call. So I call when I have some free time, get a representative on the line that tells me she can take the info but I'll have to call back in a week or so to see if a Manager approved it. Huh? Why can't a manager approve it now, I want to move my due date SOONER in the month. What a joke of a company, just like the people who sells the cars, Carvana, their finance company is trash also. DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA, DO NOT FINANCE WITH BRIDGECREST. Save yourself some headache, trust me, it is not worth it. There are plenty of companies out there that have a true understanding of customer service, I promise you carvana nor bridgecrest are on that list.
My phone number was entered in wrong a newly purposed vehicle. After 30 days on the first payment which I didn't telalzie where to pay yet, they repoed the vehicle. I'm going thru the process of getting it back now. I'm plannning on changing lenders as soon as this is over. Repo after 30 days on a new account? Wtf, bad business, use someone else.
THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL. DO NOT GET A LOAN THRU THEM. IF YOU DO, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO GET A LOAN AND PAY THIS PEOPLE OFF AND NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. BELIEVE ME. YOU'LL SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHES IF YOU CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY ARE UNABLE TO PROPERLY APPLY PAYMENTS TO THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF THE LOAN. THEY SAY THEY WILL BUT THEY DO NOT. PLEASE RETAIN ALL YOUR PAPERWORK FOR THE LEGAL ACTIONS YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE AGAINST THEM. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM OPERATING SUCH A SHAGY BUSINESS. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER FILING A COMPLAINT TO CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU.
I purchased my car and was never late. I actually had it for two years on autopay, never missed a payment. I decided to trade the car in. The dealership I sold it to gave the full payoff price. They sent the check to the payoff dept at Bridgecrest, someone signed for it. Here it is 2 months later, and it still has not posted to my account. Meantime my credit is being hit with late statuses. I've called and called and they see where fedex dropped off the check and was signed for…still nothing. Don't use them!
So you want some info on $#*!Crest. So I had a past do balance of 225 bucks. I pay the 225, I then call and confirm it's done and paid. I go to sleep wake up and my car is gone. I wake up and call these clowns and they tell me the 200 that I paid didn't go through and the account is closed smh this company is by far theee worst! I spoke to someone and told them and they even said that's $#*!ed up and that my interest is way too high. Bridge crest won't be around much longer. I will see to that.
Called and spoke with agent. My job was impacted by COVID 19 last year. I had reduced income and reduced hours. Bridge crest did nothing to reduce my payments and did nothing to provide relief for my loan balance. They are a greedy company and just wanted there money for the car loan
Worst banking experience ever. Avoid at all cost. If you don't have the money to pay cash, save until you do.
I contacted this company the first of July to let them know I have applied for disability and told them that I would send in one payment per month until my disability kicks in then I would make up the back payments. Even sent them a letter from my attorney regarding the disability process. Bridgecrest stated that was fine but they would need to add on interest charges until I'm caught back up. They called today wanting their $1400 or they were going to start the repo process. I asked what happened to me making one payment month until my approval for disability kicks in. They stated we gave you a month. These people do not care of customers and have no moral. Please don't use the company for your financial needs. RUN IF YOU HEAR THE COMPANY!
I love my dodge dart. Thank you DriveTime and Bridgecrest for uniting us together. Whenever I fall on hard times Bridgecrest is understanding and gives me as much time as I need to catch back up. When I had my first child I wasn't working so I couldn't pay for about two months. They did not tow my vehicle, instead they set up a payment plan for me to start when I went back to work. When I was unemployed for 3 weeks and got behind on payments, Bridgecrest extended my loan so I could find a job and then resume payments.
BridgeCrest is actually a great lender, but you can't be scared to call them and let them know your circumstances. They will always work with you.
Unless your a lost cause that literally ducks and dodges every payment and phone call. In that case you deserve what you get! So don't be that guy. Be an adult and pick up the phone. Any time you cant pay, get ahead of it and call them first for an extension.
I bought a new vehicle through a dealership and they handled the payoff amount to be sent to bridgecrest. Dealership told me not to make my next payment as the payoff check was on its way to bridgecrest. In the meantime bridgecrest would call me a minimum of 5 times a day demanding payment. I explained each time that the payoff was in the mail from the dealership and out of my hands. Absolute vultures. Had to finally block the number as my explanation to at least 10 different people wasn't enough for them. Stay away!
I suffered a total loss on May 3,2021 due to hail damage. I was told because it was due to hail damage that I had the option of retaining my vehicle. The following week I was told that wasn't an option. I went back and forth with them for nearly a month when finally I got a hold of a total loss manager there who emailed me the owner retain agreement. I signed and paid the salvage value. In the meantime my insurance company awaited a particular document in order to send a check to the lender. After a month Bridgecrest finally sent the document and in return my insurance company issued a check. It is now August 11th and to date this is still dragging on. The GAP company hasn't been contacted by Bridgecrest and the loan can't be paid off until they do so. So here I am 90days past due even though I have kept up with my end of the agreement.
I guess I'm supposed to pay 7k upfront plus my monthly loan payment even though I entered into a new agreement (owner retain agreement) while they sit and let time go by without doing anything.
This is the worse company ever!
Theyre ok when you have to settle because of situations where maybe you were unable to build credit for a while. Once I was diagnosed with cancer I couldn't work even after I beat it. Due to obvious reasons such as the after effects body being worn down immune system shot etc etc. well I only had $2500 in debt. So once I could work again I paid that right off. But I also hadn't put anything more on my credit in 10 years. So I settled for Carvana Bridgecrest. I got my car easy. 3 months later I was laid off due to the pandemic. I started to panic. Now LIKE ANOTHER PERSON HAS COMMENTED, YOU NEED TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THEM! They don't just magically know your situation and they can't assume it's because of the pandemic. NO! You have to tell them! And that's what I did. I called them right away I was broken up & scared. But the woman on the other line was soooo kind & helpful & understanding. She adjusted my payments to defer one & said "Call me back right away if you need another deferred I WILL HELP YOU!" Thank god I didn't need to. Because of the unemployment pay that finally kicked in. And then not too long after I was finally hired back. But again, AS LONG AS YOU TELL THEM WHAT YOUR STATUS IS, YOU WILL BE OK!
The only complaint I really have is their high interest rate and inability to refinance you for a lower one even after so many on time payments. That's where I recommend using something like credit karma where they will actually find you places to refinance through for a much much much lower interest rate.
Hope this helps.
See a lot of negative reviews... don't understand why. Drive Time and Bridgecrest have proven nothing but efficient, professional and satisfactory to me. Pay on time every two weeks with zero problems. They expeditiously report positively to all 3 credit bureaus monthly. Zero complaints. Basically you do what you agreed to in your contract and Bridgecrest does their part---Highly recommend.
My brother passed away I September 2020. I've been actively trying to take responsibility for his vehicle because my mom wanted to keep it. I was advised this would be no problem. I just needed to keep his account current until this could be completed. I made an initial payment of over $3000 which was more than all of the total balance due on the account.
Shortly after that the vehicle showed up on my credit but I received no legal documentation showing it was under my name. I constantly reached out to the company but was constantly given the run around. Its now the end of July 2021 and I still have no documentation and no title information so that I can register the vehicle and drive it. The vehicle has had to be repaired several times because it can't be drive legally. I've advised them that I am going to seek legal counsel and have all payments rescinded by my bank and drop the car off at a drive time dealership.
0 stars. Nice customer service…. NOT
Try talking to them & they hang up on you.
AVOID at all costs.
I went to the drive time in south county saint louis and they told me my loan and interest after all stupid fees would be 17k and some change turns out they took the interest which is added daily( I wasn't told about this) and now I have an impossible loan to get out of
Never had any negative interaction with bridgecrest please people read the contract before you sign that simple maybe you are better off buying a 2-3 thousand dollar car cash no payments i make my payments a month early every month so i am always ahead in case i run into a financial rut and never had to speak with anyone as long as you can afford payments on time they are fine you cannot blame a company for your own poor financial decisions or taking on more debt than you can afforrd
Answer: I was a partial payment late and they will take your car. If you get bridgecrest have a garage
Answer: Cars depreciate very quickly. One of the dumbest financial decisions a person can make is spending a shit ton of their income on a vehicle. Expensive cars aren't worth it. Nobody needs leather seats or separate climate controls. And it's not like you're buying one vehicle for the rest of your life. Quit looking at cars as status symbols and save your 8K for something else.
Answer: 90 Days...
Answer: Call them to come get it...,...
Answer: Not a question... perhaps you could attempt making a free payment online on the website?
Answer: I'm sueing them and that's that. And they should be closed down
Answer: Try your local credit union. They love to undercut the interest rates, and can generally be a little more lenient because they get their money through payroll deductions, meaning they get paid first.
